Hah. I went back and replayed a second 100% run recently to show the game to a friend. Didn't struggle anywhere near as much thanks to all of the practice with Unbounded Counter I had, but The Fengs are still a bit rough thanks to Nuwa in P2 when progressing.

How do you do that extra fast slash in the air
It's from unlocking Skull Kick (after learning Tai Chi Kick). You can rapidly weave it into the aerial combo.
