Stupid question I’m not a runner but if it’s a heavier shoe and you do speed runs in it would that not make you fitter. And when you do get your lighter speed shoes on or gunna be faster in the long run ha just got what that means lol in the long run

Hi Philip. That's a great question and thanks for subscribing.
Most athletes like a really light shoe for their races and faster sessions as it allows them to get to their target paces easier and has them not working harder than needed.
Yes, you are right about the heavier shoe being able to help improve their running paces by adding weight during the runs. So when they get to race day in lighter shoes they will feel faster. But we are talking about small differences in the actual weight.
The weight difference between these shoes (235 grams) and the speed Sky+ (204 grams) and Edge + (206 grams) might only be a 20-30 grams difference overall, but there is a heavier feeling when wearing these compared with my race and speed shoes.
In the end, shoes are a personal preference and feel is the most important thing. Like I mentioned in the above video for me these are more for my easier runs than speed work as I prefer the light feel on my feet so I don't get fatigued quicker.
