Yep best looking trucks ever.. 67-72.. I had the exact same truck for a few years.. sold it off cause I'm not pooping money n it would never be what I wanted it to be.. I've had multiple 67-72's & grew up in them...
Man that’s definitely a sweet truck for sure , you don’t see a original style 4x4 c10 very often. Very nice find , also it’s amazing how much old stuff is still out there just waiting to be saved.
My baby is a 1969 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4. I restored it once. Chemicals from work ruined the paint and ate through the cab around the drip rails. I want to restore it again. Your GMC looks awesome!! I bought my 1969 in October 1984, my senior year of high school. It was a daily driver until 1989. Then it stayed the main tow vehicle until 2008 when we bought our 2004 GMC Sierra 2500hd 4x4. I'm very glad you got your family truck running again.
I'm a big fan of the squarebody trucks, especially the round headlight variety through 1980, but its hard to beat the style of a 67-72. 72 is my favorite, and a 72 GMC Sierra Grande would be my first choice out of all of them!
On my 74 in high school in the mid nineties I got these marine adapters at Walmart back then that let me use a top post battery with side post cables. They were really good
My favorite year is all of them. I have had all of them and they have all been great trucks. Also had Blazers. After all GMC does stand for great Mountain Climber.
I got my son a 73 for 1 dollar it had not been run for 11 or 12 years. I put a battery in, cleaned points, put in fresh gas and it started right up. It ran good enough to drive home around 10 miles.
