Those roller cams are a simple (and ingenious) solution for an age old problem. Priced reasonably too. I have only used ratchet straps because of this design weak point. The VanUltra RTT locks are cool too. I like the simpler version.
every channel always shows off the very best top of the line gear and such, but no one ever goes to a show like this and shows anything for those on a budget
Love the videos but a bit of a critique cause I listen on headphones and its like this in multiple videos. Can you take the voice clips and just convert to mono in your post processing please? Because its stereo both speakers are coming out of a different side. Also if you are unsure how to do this, I have no problem helping and showing you.
That’s a high price point for some locking tent brackets! Not stoked about having to lock one side of the brackets down too, that’s a big step if you want to store the tent on its bottom when taking it off.
Hi K B, we understand that the price is high however we believe that we are offering innovation and value to the overland industry. Additionally, our products are manufactured here in the USA and made from 300 series stainless steel. Thanks for your feedback regarding the fixed brackets, there are pro's and con's of this method. It is not necessary to remove the fixed brackets to store the tent on the bottom, all brackets will stay with the tent and can support the weight of the tent without needing to be removed.
Yes it is expensive but if you ever worry about your tent walking away it’s good insurance. I leave my tent on my truck full time so it’s a good investment for me but may not be for others. Thx.
I actually would. The Ignik is cool and I really like the way the legs are integrated into the box. But the lava box just is an amazing fire output. If you have a group of people around an Ignik all trying to feel the heat you will probably be disappointed. The lava box can heat up a group pretty easily. I am gonna get a lava box and do a side by side comparison. I have only used a buddies.
great videos but I think alot of people and manufacturers are in a rush to buy and make as much junk as possible. “Cam straps” who the heck uses these? They are absolute garbage. There was a superior product produced before I was born, its called a “ratchet strap” and about a third of the price at Home Depot. “Rope Roller” has been in the boating industry for years, nothing new. Ive had two separate roof top tents and dont see how in the world it has taken you two hours to install/remove one?! The quick release thing is cool but ive never had an issue removing or installing and are people really stealing rooftop tents? These manufacturers are like big pharma, they want you to believe you have a problem when you never noticed you had a problem and they have the fix. Firebox is great and does have a purpose in the south west with open fire bans! As always tho, great professional video.
Practical and reasonably priced gadgets for us to add to our list. Finally!!
Love the passion Josh has for the lava boxes, like a kid showing his toy when he was showing the brand new one, which is and looks dope!
Yea Josh is pretty awesome. High energy all the time.
Lava Boxes are the best! I own three!
Which box do you recommend?
Thanks! Good stuff here! I like that Vanultra setup. And those roller cams make SO much sense!
Thank you and I completely agree.
I definitely like this kind of video you do at the shows… give us more

I love roller cam buckles!!! had them for a minute. Makes most of my ratchet straps obsolete.
Wow great video guys…. Those RTT locks are great. I have been looking for something like that for a while now…..
Thank you 🙏🏻
More info on the cooking disk for the firebox!
Haha. You saw that. It was a teaser. It isn’t out yet and is still in the test phase. Let you know more when they release it.
I liked the vanultra rtt mounts...I am getting those today
Hi Paul, thanks for your interest, we look forward to your business!
Yea they are super cool. I got the pricing wrong. The locking ones are $125 a piece. Just keep that in mind. Best of luck.

love the informative videos keep up the good work..are you guys heading over the overland expo in Llano Texas?
Thanks. No but maybe next year.
So you’d recommend the lava box over the ignik you reviewed? Also what appendix holster you rockin? 😂😉

5 things, 30 min? Come on? 10 min on a fire? Let's see more stuff in less time. I call as I see it.
