The fear of the what if’s certainly a big thing when setting up a channel! Small scale so I’m yet to experience the negative side of things but hopefully I’m mentally strong enough to deal with it if/when it comes and plough through it! Cheers bud. RossyMc Outdoors!
Another great episode. Some interesting points. I found your thoughts on the fear of failure really interesting. Ultimately as humans failure is how we learn, progress and improve. It doesn't feel like it at the time but it's a necessary part of life. People can be very judgemental, I usually find it's more a reflection on their own inadequacies and lack of bravery or effort. When it boils down to it there is only one opinion and judgment that matters, and that's your own. Looking forwards to seeing how the Lanshan bears up. Still toying with it but I think a new pack is next.
Just binge-listened to the three episodes - good stuff. I very much identify with that fear of starting something, all that over-thinking before hand and then the worry you're making a tit of yourself once you're underway. I've only been solo wild camping since last summer despite having been camping with the Scouts pretty much all my life. I worried a lot about what people would think about a pensioner starting wild camping, never mind starting a youtube channel - but actually, like you say, most people just don't care and those that do are pretty supportive. Mind, with only 47 subs there's not a lot of scope for trolls! However, generally, I have found as I've got older (69 today!) I give less and less f**ks about what people think. Looking forward to Episode 4. ATB

I don’t get how people have the energy to dislike and leave nasty comments but not al people are wired the same. Luckily the community is more decent people that cretins. Don’t like something don’t watch. It used to bother me a little in the early vids but I don’t give it a second thought now… Enjoying the podcasts mate. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼👍🏼

All I can say is keep doing what you do, how you do it . The ethos of wild camping and all that goes with it is just lost on the nob jockey's who make nasty hurtful comment , hiding away behind computer screens. Its Bullying. you sum it up just how it is way better than I can. The mental part and how you deal with it I too am the same, switching that bit of the brain off sometimes is difficult, but not impossible, and if a night out on the fells brings good karma as it does me then so be it. PS the vids/pod casts are just great the way you do them, only problem is catching up with them, (too busy wild camping).
Hi Ryan , Please Ignore the "Twats" who cant think of anything better to do than leave bad comments on line , They have nothing in their lives better to do , Just feel sorry for them , If what you are doing makes you feel good , that's all that matters mate .🙂👍 , Life is too short to worry about them , just enjoy the time we are given .

700 £ for a Backpack ! my old German army pack has lasted me for over 30 years , and is still going strong , and does not leak .🙂 , It cost me 50£ second hand .
