Enjoy what you are saying around 1:12:11 . The challenge of the patrons is coming up with that connection. Did you ever play Jedi Academy? You start with Luke as your quest giver. Now it's framed in the setting of a Jedi academy so it makes sense. You aren't Luke's co-pilot or anything like that. The challenge is making sure knowing your Patron is established in a way that makes sense without too much suspension of disbelief.
I never tried Jedi Academy which feels a little weird since I LOVED Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. I could see it making sense if it sets the story up at the Jedi Academy... feels believable that he would have a strong interest/presence there. I know it might seem trivial or shallow, but the patrons being who they were in The One Ring kept the game from clicking with me for a good chunk of time whenever I read the rules. Somehow I just didn't "see" the session or story coming together with that there. Not sure if that makes any sense. Having said that, now that I've played a bit, I could see how it doesn't have to be such a big deal or part of the gameplay.
@@BlackLodgeTrivia My apologies, It's "While journeying, the Player-hero is considered Inspired on skill rolls." So whenever you spend hope on any skill while journeying. Seems I made my own mistakes. 🙈

Just fyi, strider mode means inspired on travel rolls, not all rolls.
Appreciate that, I have a feeling I messed up some stuff.
