This really isn’t for everyone. But I’m not trying to design one thing for everyone. I’m trying to design different options for different bodies and different preferences.
To be completely honest, I had a really challenging time with the design. It actually took 11 months and 19 days from the time I sketched this to be able to arrive at today’s release. Look, EVEN I thought all I had to do was plop my twirl skort pattern on top of my legging pattern and be done. But no. When I did that, it was looking dowdy and just so UN-POPFLEX. It took time to adjust the skirt ever so slightly to make it still twirl but not overwhelm. Shortening the waistband height, removing some extra fabric, and adding a higher curve to the sides is what helped create the right effect in the final product!
Thank you for challenging me to push past my boundaries as a designer. As someone who personally does not dress modestly, I actually liked being pushed to create something that could not rely too heavily on showing skin to be cute. It challenged me creatively, and that, I’m always up for because it forces me to expand my mind.

Hey, could you do a practice sketch of this with bike shorts instead of leggings? This'll be nice to wear in the cold months to that my tush is covered and my legs are warm, but one of the main reasons why I'd like a longer inseam for the under-shorts is because my thighs Chafe really bad during exercise.
The longer bike shorts would both protect our thighs and give us modesty while revealing our lovely legs.

Her clothing may be a bit pricey but they’re all solutions to problems she listened to, to make it better. Yes, you can buy leggings anywhere, but her’s are specially made with care and thoughtful. It’s designers like her I support to keep doing what they do.
I need to remember this when I see her prices! It's not 'oh I'm paying how much for leggings?!' it's 'oh I'm paying how much for leggings that took months to get perfect, has pockets, lets me change the inseam length, are comfy, are cute, and was made FOR the consumers' needs?'.
I think her clothes are better then lulu lemon which people pay over a hundred dollars for leggings and I think her clothes might be around 80 dollars? I haven’t seen her pricing but I bet it’s worth it she’s a amazing designer and she helps us with designs made for our comfort which I love about her and I think she’s the best designer I know and her clothes I can just know it’s very good quality
Yeah. It’s pricey for multiple reasons.
1. She’s a small business.
2. She’s probably the only one or one of the few designing clothes.
3. She probably hires a company to make the products? But it’s still her designs, fabric, & sewing patterns.
4. Using expensive fabrics and threading.

Wow I really LOVE this because I can't wear any shorts because of my medical problem with my legs that swell every day and I have to wear tight fitting leggings so I definitely want this for my Birthday that's coming up on October 13th!!! I'll be 37 😢 but I'm just happy to be alive as a type one diabetic of 27 years!
Hey I'm a type 1 too! Been so for 31 years I'm 40 , therapeutic style ketogenic diet saved my life , I have 0 complications up to date , some eye issues but nothing serious. Try keto 4 to 1 or 2 to 1 ratio therapeutic style . Look up Charlie foundation recipes . You can have non diabetic blood sugars and avoid further complications. Also look up Cole Robinson snake diet for type 1 diabetics . Best of luck !

genuinely, even as a hijabi, we can’t wear leggings because it shows off the shape of our legs and that goes against our modesty so keep that in mind ❤️

I used to have these in the 80s. The leggings were black but the skirt was fun 80s themed geometric prints, they were great.

Same!! During my HS years and before I basically refused to wear anything like dresses and even always wore a jacket because I disliked showing off my body. You couldn’t catch me dead in shorts, but now I’m slowly branching out. I still wouldn’t go outside in shorts, mostly because my thighs are too thick and knowing my luck I would get a sunburn, but I would def try the sklegging even if I didn’t work out only for the twirl factor 😂
For me, it'd mostly be that I'm too lazy to shave my legs. 😂

I mean, it's not just about being modest... some of us get cold easily, didn't get time to shave, live in unsafe areas where you wouldn't wanna draw attention to yourself, cellulite making us self-conscious, etc. So, having the option is always great. Thank you for your work. ❤

But as a woman who lives in an unsafe area I personally know if I don't dress a certain way when I go about my neighborhood, I'm gonna get gross people in my business. I love women empowerment and getting rid of the ideas of women needing to be and dress any way, they should just wear what they want, but until the men are also all on board it's just not the right option. And id rather keep weirdos away. I don't blame women at all, I blame men that I have to dress to be safe. But pretending this idea shouldn't exist at all is just not safe for some people. We gotta be honest here

I like dressing modestly- its a personal preference. And it's sometimes SO hard to find clothing that looks cute that I'm also comfortable wearing. So thank you for considering the girlies who enjoy some more coverage!

@monicabranch7011 Personally while I enjoy being modest I hate super long skirts lol, it's a whole thing with an old school and their dress code. After wearing "skirts below the knee" for five days a week pretty much for the whole year for years of my life, and seeing other, more liked girls get away with much shorter items then I could, I prefer pants LOLL
As for plus sizes, I'm pretty positive her products do in fact strive to fit all bodies of all shapes and sizes! Iirc her items go up to 3X or so? I could be totally wrong and it could totally depend on the item but I feel I remember hearing that somewhere lol

Yes! I personally get very uncomfortable with short shorts or skirts and I absolutely love this design. Modesty is super important to me and just like you it's just a personal preference but I can also see how this design could be great for people who want to be modest for more religious purposes. I am a Christian which makes it important for me but it is still my preference anyways.
This I like to dress modestly simply for comfort like clothes feeling comfortable but also being able to sit comfortably I like to sit with my knees up or a leg up which is not possible with any skirt/short simply because I can't find long enough skirts or shorts that my skin can accept. So this is fun

I love this sooo much! As an ice skater I’ve always wanted to wear a skirt on ice but i always have to wear tights under which i found uncomfortable during practice so this is AMAZING 🎉 because i can be fashionable on ice but also comfortable 😂

I'd wear both: the sklegging reminds me of the skirt-over-jeans I used to wear in the early 2000s (aging myself, yup), but *better* and I've always loved a good skort, and yours is fantastic.

For me i love the skirt style but for several reasons i struggle with shorts. (1 reason being that the shorts ride up due to my thick thighs) so having this mix is a must for me. Thank you

Oh my gosh that's me. My legs are discolored from wearing combat boots for 11 years and I am not comfortable wearing shorts or short dresses/skirts. This would be perfect for me. I don't mind the shape of my legs and thighs it's just the discoloration of them.

The sklegging would be PERFECT for ice skating wich is one of my hobbies. Might buy this soon.

Companies pay huge amounts of money to survey the market & know what their consumers want, she is doing it more efficiently. She chooses what she wants to make nobody is forcing her, she is selling these products you know 😂

I went through a major weight loss of 60kg (another 20kg to go) and I am left with some loose skin that has shattered my confidence. Modest sportive clothing like this would definitely help people like me to feel a little better in participating outdoor activities. I’m one of the people this design is not for, but I really respect that as a designer you make sure there’s something for everyone. As a very petite woman, it’s hard to find active wear that fits and you have me covered. I’m sure it’s also very difficult to find modest active wear that still has a lovely feminine touch and I think it’s so rad you made this for the customers that want it. And as always, it’s an absolutely slay 🩵

I love your designs so much!!!! I'm literally wearing my favorite hourglass soft touch xs leggings from your shop and have never felt more comfortable!! It's so hard to find clothes that fit just right but I'm so happy to say that leggings have never fit as perfect as the ones I'm wearing right now!!! I live all your designs so much! Everything is so cute and flattering that literally any body type can rock!!!!! Honestly your shop is way better than Lululemon! Not to mention that it's honestly way more affordable! I would have loved this when I was playing Tennis 🎾 and it started to get cold outside in the fall! I wouldn’t have to sacrifice the skirt and you design killer items!

I’m someone that prefers modesty but find myself giving in to clothes that are more revealing because they have been professionally designed and are more flattering than so many of the other options out there. Being able to have someone of your talent and experience put in the effort to make something that is flattering and modest and trendy is AMAZING. and I have so much respect for that! I also sew clothes and love playing with new silhouettes and know at least a little bit how much effort it takes to make something that works. Thank you for considering *all* of us in your ideas and brainstorming.
