Although I'm Jewish I have cousins who only dated when they were looking to get married. They would have friends or family suggest a match for them. The couple met and talked about what they were looking for in a spouse , How they saw themselves in the future etc. If after a few meetings if they felt compatible than they would get married. But no kissing till they were married. All of my cousin's are still married after over 20 yrs. Funny Mormons and Christians seem to basically feel the same way.
