- More chaos in the Championship of America boys 4x400m final at the 2024 Penn Relays as Bullis School (MD) falls on the second exchange and Kingston College crosses first in 3:11.86. Quincy Wilson splits 44.69 to anchor Bullis to third.

'Alright guys, we have a guy splitting 44's, just get the stick around and we're golden.'
>Drops baton
>Falls over
Hey, we have a saying, "bad luck is worse than obeah/voodoo". Someone at Bullis done pissed off the higher powers.....😂😂😂😂. That is just weird. Both races, they fell. Both races, this guy split 44secs. That is very, very, very weird.
Am Jamaican but I love watching Quincy run..He is a special talent
We don’t care if ur Jamaican or not 🙄🙄
@@malcolmpryce843 if u didn't u wouldn't have responded saying what u said
Why do you need to mention that you're a Jamaican.
Right if they run a test on quincy he would fail america athletes never honest young and old

2 44's in the same day...🔥
As a sophomore wtf 😳
Imagine being the Kingston anchor and coming home with the win just for everyone to ignore you to talk about Quincy's split
My exact thoughts
that is just really, really bad luck for Bullis. That anchor leg deserves a CoA medal.
He good he should make Paris
He deserves an award. He has determination.

This young king is a generational talent. Not only academically but athletically and morally.
Yes he is. It will be interesting to see if can keep developing in the next few years. Many of high school athletes have ran exceptional times in high school to not be heard of in college and pro level.
@@jayrperkins3687if he even stays the same he’ll be good in college lmao
The problem with Bulis is they are so good that they probably have no experience with running in those traffic jams in the relay exchange zones because they are accustomed to front running
Good point man!
As he was saying, put God first!! Great run!
Yo that Quincy kid is on something…. He’s amazing
Bullis needs to be invited to Champs! lol… okay maybe Gibson Relays then… that Anchor leg was a phenomenon! …
I agree with you. Fortis Forever.
KC my almamater stands Supreme and poised
Quincy is a rare find, a legend in the making if he continues and stays healthy. KC would never hold him off if he hadn't gotten the baton so far back. This track is seriously dangerous not suited for a big meet like this.

Relays are not about speed only. it's the combined ability to run fast, manage the pressure, and be able to pass the baton safely.
Quincy really carried Bullis's entire 4x4. It's usually all over after someone falls and drops the baton but he brought it all the way home
Quincy Wilson is a 400m Runner to watch, running a 44sec slipt for the second time after an athlete fell down from his school in the 4x400 and came back and still got a third-place finish for his school he's a competitor. Respect due. I'm a Jamaican, but I'm so impressed with this youth. Hopefully, he stays healthy, I'm looking forward to watching him run at the collegiate level.
Big up KC mi seh! 🔥 🇯🇲
As a Jamaican watching these I’m proud
Has ANYBODY ever run 2 44's in one day? Wow!
That 2nd leg on Bullis need to be more aggressive to get in front in the beginning of his leg. If you received the stick 1st, need to push to maintained the lead on the 1st curve. He was boxed in on his entire leg because he allowed all 3 Jamaican teams to box him in.
That's exactly what happened. You can see as he chopped his strides ever so slightly behind the lead runners.
As a Jamaican Quincy I tipped my hat I u got that baton anywhere close to to leaders we never stood a chance
That track is hazardous...!
Lane 4 where the rail starts is the original inside lane or lane 1, the actual 400M meter measurement. Lanes 1 through 3 are simply the worst lanes and < 400M all-around. There is only 1 option: reconfigure the stadium to abandon current lanes 1- 3 and add 3 outer lanes. And maybe some major high schools and colleges and Olympic level athletes will return, risk of injury too high during Olympic years and this is why almost no Olympic athletes attended the 2024 Penn Relays and why many won't return.
KC!!
Quincy is a joy to watch just like Bolt. Kudos to him.
ngl... that bullis anchor is the real MVP.. i'm from Jamaica but bro, that dude can run
College all day Fortis 🎉

They need to fix that track. It's going to cause someone their career one of these days.

SUCHA BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT. I’m so glad to have seen him run such a PERFECT AMD BEAUTIFUL RACE. All the way on outside lanes= a sub 44 Quater…
KC would have never lost. They have two guys that can go sub 46 in the open. One did already. Another runs 50 in the 400mh. They already ran 307 this year. They could have ran faster Ijs.
Could Quincy Wilson make the Olympic Team for 2024? Dang, what a talent. Regardless, I look forward to watching him and the other prodigies at the Olympic Trials.
Perhaps mixed relays? 44low split might do it
I am a jamaican and Wilson is good,i shout out to quincy wilson,i wonder if bullish hadn't fall how it would have turned out, well done kc and excelsior ❤❤❤
Wow, what a race! That kid is talented, there's no denying it. But Jamaica had a better squad of guys who knows how to get the baton around, regardless of the turbulent exchanges.
Nah, they would’ve won, the race organizers just stuffed way to many kids in a track and they are in a bad place.
If bullis hadn't fall it would have been different
@islyrevans295 so yuh say...... KC are no JOKE and nothing fires up a jamaican than someone right on their heels in a relay . Go look at Carifta Games 2024 Men's U17 4x400m relays where Nickecoy Bramewll on anchor had the trini runner right on his heels going into the final lap. He kept his cool and brought home the gold for Jamaica. Jamaican sprinters rarely lose their cool and make mistakes
@@islyrevans295 Yeah it would have been a close race for sure if they didn't fall. Maybe even a close win. But that's the point. It takes a whole team to win a 4x400. It doesn't matter how talented one guy is on the team, if the rest of the squad can't get the baton around, then it's game over. The Jamaican schools know how to do that successfully, regardless of how rough it gets at the exchange zone. Bullis needs to work on that some more.
Amen to that, that is the key to winning. The Jamaican athletes are coming from Girls and Boys championship and the Caribbean championship which is called The Carifta games so they are always peaked when they get to the Penn Relays. That is the last event of the track and field season for them. Their season starts, in February which is quite a long season for them and Penn Relays is the icing on the cake for them. They all want win.🇯🇲🇯🇲
McNamara always represents too. DMV has some great runners.
Looking like the best area for track ATM
thank you!
It gets like that at a Penn Relays. Maaaan they’re lucky they’re in the championship round. We were my senior year. But my Jr. year in the competitive rounds, 20 teams, 10 lanes people were crashing out left and right. It’s a FIGHT for that Plaque
Hope they can get their lick back at the Diamond League invitational in June

Yes, put God first. That’s the way to go.
That was TOO many runners at one time..
Quincy is special.
The runner from KC was tripped on that 3rd leg and he went half way down. That pushed them back to 4th from 1st, and they ran their way back. Good run Qunicy Jones great race KC and Excelsior. These American commentators can be so biased. Team effort counts. It isn't a one man show.
Quincy runs two 44s in 1 day at the age of 16. Unreal.
Excuses sound bad but Jamaica just concluded "Champs" and they're in peak form, however kids in the Northeast just started outdoor competition perhaps a month ago I don't expect those schools to perform at a high level (of course there's exceptions). Nice work Jamaica!
Most of the Jamaicans competing just finished champs and the carifta games so they hardly got any chance to rest
You excuse contradicts itself. If Northeast just finished indoor, then they finish their indoor championship as well.
If bullis school hadn't have that fall the outcome would have been different,
@@chubs8127Jamaica didn't send most of their stars that competed at Carifta Games. I would have love to see Nickecoy Bramwell at Penn Relays ..

Did you ever wonder why Jamaica is so good? The USA has a population 110 times bigger than his county. Maybe Americans could learn something from him.

Flo Track is gonna mess up track and field with it's coverage
@@mr.nyceguy7800 jealousy is a disease, it seems like everyone is getting it these days. 1JA 🇯🇲
because track and field is jamaica’s most popular sport. unlike the united states who focuses more on things like baseball, basketball and football
The second leg for bullis has to swing wide he was already passed and gave up ground he has to swing wide and his outgoing teammate has to reposition himself. That was an exchange that coulda been avoided. They trying to bunch in inside which made no sense and the finish line is in the middle of that track he was already losing ground so he has to swing outside. If only Quincy had gotten the stick closer who knows
Bullis and Quincy wins that without the fall 💯
Yea but Kc ran 307.6 already this year, so they underperformed due to them being tired.
@@Bbreak-26 I was there on Friday taking in the heats. The schools from JA won all of the ones that the had a team in by far (except one). Private schools like Bullis and Dematha (Annual tuition costs rivals many colleges) recruit the top athletes (I live in the area and have spoken to coaches) and have the resources that the average public school in the US (much less any school in Jamaica) lacks. When I was running, it was the public schools that dominited HS T&F, but funding for their programs have dried up. I don't intend to take anything away from Wilson, who is very special, but imagine if JA athletes (And the wider Caribbean) had the sponsorship, facilities, and funds (and tech) that their US counterparts have. Jamaica would be even more dominant in the sprints.

Cramming nine teams into five lanes for handoffs doesn't seem like a great idea.
I am an old man in US, and every year I marvel at the improvement in times. What is in the water these kids are drinking? All the hormones in McDonald's trash food or what? wow.
Jamaica had awesome runners
Absolutely
Flo Track had the worst Angles but they get $30
I fell bad for Quincey if they don’t fall they win.
OK...back to that unfortunate baton exchange. The team in gold with black sleeves caused the exchange zone incident and should have been DQ's (I think they were the team that finished 2nd). Why DQ? The incoming runner from that team made a clean exchange, then fell down and rolled out of his lane and interfered with at least 3 other teams who either tripped over him our had go around him while he was on the ground (thus their line of running was "impeded" by an opposing team).
But it was the bullies dude who actually caused the trip if u look closely so yea they cause themselves to fall💀 look at 2:33 if u dont believe me u can se his foot tripping the other guy in gold and black
No, Team AA 2nd leg incoming runner definitely tripped Team AD 3rd leg baton receiver causing him to fall. Then Team AD 2nd leg incoming runner tripped over his own teammate afterwards.
