- I tried the first version of Roblox in VR on Oculus Quest 2. You can finally play it with controllers and even use your hands. I will be diving into Roblox VR games like Gorilla Tag, Squid Game and Backrooms featuring some funny moments and thoughts on what this means for the future of VR gaming.

I can see how people are not digging it that much right out of the gate, with the bugs and things that aren't complete yet, but as you point out, this is just the beginning. More content is always welcome, and especially on platforms like this where just about anyone can learn how to make stuff, it's only going to be a good thing overall.
Actually in beta form , misused term a lot . Need people playing it to “ fix it “ , this the ONLY way this works it just has to be this way .

This is a good sentence of what is happening! The bugs are really of hand for me and when your on first person the body is so glitchy!
Yes but this platform will only get better from here on out and it's exciting to think where VR experiences will look like in a few years from now

The thing that would make roblox on quest better (in my opinion) is we need to be able to move our arms and head so that the game isn't as basic and just weird like the normal version

It takes work and time to develop but my prediction is that Roblox will be one of the best quest ports ever I could see a lot of kids getting a Quest 2 or Quest 3 around Christmas 2023 and we could possibly see that player base grow but for now we just have to wait to see if it is worth it at the end of 2023 fingers croosed 🤞

Most things about mass adoption , I get it upsets people we not getting better … but can worry about that after mass adoption .

Choosing to ignore the jerk for now till makes more sense , but never seen this level of effort to force a tech in my life . No set back matters , they just adapt and move forward like a shark that will die if they stop moving lol .
We get everything everyone wants eventually , I know we will , not a pipe dream anymore .
Only thing holding us back is public opinion is so against face book and quest as a result they sabotage its success at most turns saying “ quest sucks “ or “ VR not ready yet “ ……. Well,say that enough , that exactly what people will think soo I tend to get … frustrated with naysayers questioning a geniuses plan lol .

I'm planing on getting the quest 2 sometime here soon because its more in my price range than the 3rd and i have a question...Is it only vr supported games you can play on roblox or is it just certain games?
This is the best day even i was already getting a quest and plus I didn't like how roblox ran on my phone now I can play it on my quest
Nothing kills my enthusiasm for VR like playing, or watching someone play, a game with control stick movement.
Console 2.0 wrecks the VR experience.

Here are just a few roblox games I’d recommend for VR because why not | edge works which is a bonelab fan game but does require robux to play sooo | VR hands | jungle bungalows which is a working VR gorilla tag fangame | opposer VR this game is another shooter and tunneler which is a portal fangame/and thats pretty much most of them i can think of

one thing I will say is you should try playing games that are actually built with vr in mind
I had a lot of fun on non vr games, but it feels kind of like cheating. You can use 3rd person to easily snipe people chasing you since your camera will be closer to them. And aiming just feels so good, though gear will block view in 1st person. Sword fighting is also easier because you can physically sidestep them.
I hear you but if you decide to bring VR support to your entire game it should also be tested that way. Someone who's new to Roblox in VR will expect that everything can be played with controls like other titles on the Quest platform.
@@nathie that’s definitely true, because as it stands the functionality of vr in games that are supposed to be flatscreen is, and has been for years now, terrible.

broo i got an oculus quest link just for roblox and now its here officially 😭😭
the gorilla tag game was made for pc players who didn't have a vr headset to play real gorilla tag, that's why you can only use the jump button and can't move around your actual hands
if the game did not support VR it would have not let me in in the first place.
That's just simply not true, games can opt out of being playable in vr (doors) but if they don't you can still play it in vr whether it's compatible or not

This is insane I just got off roblox and holey crape , I hope somone now makes A lot more VR LOBBYS , and as for kids there are annoying kids but there are kids that are aware of what they do I learned how to play some games from kids that are 11 dude I’m 21 and can’t figure out how to play some of these games 😂 and the kid actually helped me , I deleted him after as to me it’s just werid having somone my Nephews age on my friends list 😅but that’s just me
