Big fan of Rodriguez's athleticism but sooo frustrating to see so many loose lengths on backhand from Rodriguez, you would have thought his coach would have sorted that by now. His service also lets him down, again something for a player at his level should not be happening. You can see that the top players are seldom under pressure by Rodriguez.
Classic (almost) comeback and then relaxing and then going down. Good mental strength on the comeback though. Seemed to be a few shots that were over hit by both players with a bouncy ball so runners can chase then down.
I think the question was somewhat answered 2 comments back @ Bradley Cross : over hit shots with a very bouncy ball. Most players play a lot of length in the beginning to get their groove; the ball bounces all over the place & in the Middle! So for ppl watching neither Gaultier or Rodriguez look like world=class players !! The shots r so loose! But if I were to go & hit the ball in similar conditions (& a hot court), I'm sure I couldn't control it even 1/2 as well!
