- The race inspired Hyper SSTE the first Hyper type rc ever comes RTR or ARTR and is less expensive rtr by far than Arrma and traxxas. Tougher than redcat and team corally. Is upgradable with 7575 aluminum parts and has a wildly tunable suspension. Definitely worth checking out. www.hobao-usa.com/. Parts available on eBay also compatible with many Hoboa models

HoBao has been around a very long time, and is one of the very few manufacturers that have stuck to their roots, and is still manufacturing high quality precision made pieces at an affordable price! Back in the day the "Hyper Buggies" were all the rave!_

I agree weight is the most common factor in breaking the truck when I see the abuse the hyper go and HBX vehicles take it really shows that lighter is better
It's a race style platform, anyone who knows anything knows that race platforms are the toughest rigs, but good luck getting a newb basher to buy a roller or kit chasis so they never find out that most of the main bashers are based on 8th buggy/truggy platforms anyway. I bash my tlr buggy with all the big bashers and most days it's the only thing still running at the end of the session 😂.

I own a hyper ss buggy, it's the best basher I've owned, I have arrma,s and traxxas, nothing compares to the hyper ss
I have to say Hobao is in a class of it’s own. I understand why so many people have something to say about these offerings and have so many mixed opinions about them I truly enjoyed every one I ever owned.
5:04 I have the 5th scale version of those fans and I was also really surprised how fast they run! 😧 And that’s with the ESC set at 6v, I can’t imagine if it’s cranked up to 7.4 or 8.4v. I think it would probably rip the blades off the hub of the motors didn’t fry at 8.4.
Looking back at the Amazon listing, it is rated at 8.4, however. But like you said, who knows how long they will last cranked up like that.

Is the orange truggy on the box a V2, was it previously in a different colour?
I’ve been watching the videos on this and it’s always been orange rtr or clear body artr the version 2 is the cage version as far as I know I hope this helps and thanks for your support

I hope that others will give Hobao a try this is my third truck from this company I had the 1/10 scale truggy and the 1/10 scale sct I enjoyed them both very much it was hard to part with them but I only have so much room for my collection .
My only annoyance is the tight Battery tray

I find the whole redcat bashing funny i have lots of rc trucks from hoboa/ofna traxxas arrma team corally team associated redcat tekno ect... the og v2 kaiju is my most durable truck no hate either i love rc un general and have 30+ years in the hobby and ive ownd thousands of rigs over the years and i will take my kaiju over any and it has sone upgrades but maybe 100 bucks worth and its out bashed everything ive owned.
My most unbreakable rig has been my rustler 2wd but it always needs transmission work it still has the old trans but know broken parts yet all most all rpm parts and my Teknos have been holding up well also they’re stock. My kaiju has been good too. I believe the driver matters as well.

The hyper is a nice rig but not the most durable by far i had one its a racing truggy not a basher mine broke way way to much to bash it even slightly hard. Tekno is the top contender in the racing/bashing game
That’s true Hoboa isn’t Tekno but it’s not as expensive as a Tekno either and it comes rtr or artr That said I love my Teknos too they are fun to build and they drive really well 👍
If you're saying that's better using the arrma korean tires you pay for what you get i like every rc company out there i just don't like my people talk s*** on other rc. Companies that's what I have a problem with that's about it, brother, have a good day and remember keep on rc and stay safe

I dont want a chevy cavalier with ARRMA wheels, I'd rather have a Toyota or Honda. This is how I approach my RC purchases. Nobody in the hobby I know owns this mediocre brand. Stop pushing cheap shit, if I wanted something like this, I'd go on Amazon.
