Matt: Pure joy and excitement when showing list
Matt has always been a bug at heart. I remember when Steve was really first introduced to MWG many years ago when I was subscribed. Matt and Steve had a Nids narrative series. It was filmed in the front of the old store where you could still see blisters of models, and box sets on shelves. Matthew was so happy playing with them against the necrons. He always had a smile on his face then new editions came out for 40k, and he was never the same.
I love the pure joy in Matt’s voice doing his intro. Congrats on the great new codex man I’m so happy for you!
More battle reports like this, I love the classic battle reports.
Missed opportunity to just shout "SPESS MARINE!" like in dawn of War. Still loved it.

The pure joy and excitement in Matt's voice is infectious. I'm glad his Nids got some love.
My play group has gone back to fifth, and it’s been a lot of fun. I love watching these battle reports to see how the new game works though, and also to see what crazy new abilities they’ve given to my darling bugs!
Love to see the new Tyranids being played, with so many fun and (previously) niche units on the board. You KNOW this has been a long time in the making when the Tyrannocyte still has cobwebs on it as well. XD
Steve is like a character in an H. P. Lovecraft story. The more he finds out about the Tyranids the more you can see his mind being broken.

As a long-time tyranid player, I don't think I've ever been as hype for a new codex as I am now. So many nasty tricks and combos, so many amazing unit choices, it is everything I've been saying we needed for Tyranids for the past 15 years. I am sad they didn't bring Shrikes back, since combined with Gargoyle changes it would mean you could run a full Flying Circus, but still, everything else so far is incredible.
I have a feeling they made termagant guns better for practical reasons, not narrative. The issue with horde armies is the huge barrier to entry. With costs being what they are, you need to spend hundreds of dollars for a garbage unit that's just going to die. The only thing to do is raise their points, which they can only justify by making their guns or their personal stats better. People complain that their gun is better than a bolter, but look who's carrying said gun. A tactical marine has more wounds, better toughness, better save, and better BS/WS.

No joke, I learned to play nids from Matt in 5th ed by watching MWG. My dream to go up there and play him!
