Great video, love the time stamps and that you try to make it as deterministic as possible.
Like the walk through, wish you included some spicy duels against decks showcasing this deck's adaptability and ability to recover from disruption. Good stuff nevertheless
My go to so far has been:
If you have a name in grave, SS Dragon(Charge of the Light Brigade is a 1-card combo if you mill one single name that sticks in the GY on resolution) -> Dragon effect send Felis -> Ssummon Felis -> synch for Minerva -> Minerva CL 1 / Dragon CL 2: Dragon adds a big Dragon(Punishment if you are reliant on Minerva's milling for extension, JD if the rest of your hand has gas), Minerva sends Weiss and Wulf -> CL 1 Wulf / CL 2 Weiss target Felis: Summon Felis, Summon Wulf -> Synch for Visas Amritara -> Search Perlereino -> Activate Perlereino: search Sheiren.
From here, the world is your oyster. Bare minimum, you can SS Sheiren by sending the searched big dragon and then mill 3, then use Minerva to banish 4 names from grave to mill 4 more, then overlay Visas and Minerva into Zombie Vampire to mill 4 more and potentially revive 1. Alternatively, you can summon the big dragon you searched(Judgment before you banish/mill with Minerva, or Punishment after), and overlay it, Minerva, and Visas to make Giantrainer and draw 3. And you still have Scheiren in hand.
Will you do more combo guides or in depth card discussions for this deck? There aren’t many good guides out there for modern LS, and I think yours is the best!
A vid about playing through or around certain handtraps (ash, imperm, nib, etc) would be awesome! Trying to get baronne or anything within 3 summons seems tough, and idk what to do when nibbed at all
Another thing of note is going second, and how to play through boards, since the deck looks like it may die to 2-3 interruptions, which most boards do have

Going second is definitely the biggest weakness, because you really can't afford to play a lot of non engine.
I'll definitely do more Lightsworns stuff in the future tho, I appreciate the feedback!

what about the recovery power, the follow up power, the play through nib threat, etc? Not a good deck in my op
It's one of those all-gas glass cannon decks. Similar to decks like branded you rely on your engine to play thru hand traps. I do agree recovery is weak in this deck, so you really wanna go for game asap
I found a way to hand loop 3-4 cards out of the opponents hand, that's just the new lightsworn dragoon, and a lightsworn jn grave, with 3 material appo, baron, enlightenment dragon, and s.p.
I was hand looping for 2 using Dis Pater. How did you get the extra Hand Loops? Branded Regained + Bystial Engine Maybe?
@earthteamjordan you can get 2 trishula activation and 2 omega activations of things go your way, and use punishment dragon to recycle them making your opponent not be able to get the cards back off omega, which I found with the new cards pretty easy to manipulate if you get the start
I like the tearlament engine, but I prefer the bystial rokket engine. It plays through hand traps really easy and is more consistent In my book.
Do you have a Decklist for this?

I hate how Master Duel takes 10 years to get anything new. One of the few reasons ive beens staying away from it. TCG should get them soon tho!
How will the deck work with cards like Agido and Kelbek banned?
Great question! You don't need them. Between the new Synchro, Tears, and cards like Kagetsushi you can mill 15 cards at least a turn like we did in the combos!
🎅 LIGHTSWORN NEW META?? 🎅
I went onto a simulator and every single end board had at least 4 disruption. Ratio of bricking is about 1 in 20 hands. Also your only able to get the fusion out if you draw one or mill one cause there’s only one way to search for a dragon and that’s with the mini dragon.
@@katherinephilippakis1270 I think the tear version will probably be best. As long as you dont mill a name with charge of the light brigade since it mills for cost not effect. I think the fusion is kinda bad honestly since it's not as consistent to get out. That being said you can XYZ the new minerva and punishment/judgement dragon for a zombie vampire and mill even more cards which better than the fusion
Also amritara is possible to make with the lightsworns since its all light so felis/weiss + wolf is a amritara guareteed search for any tear spell/trap

LS cannot set up interruption turn 0 like pure tearlaments, so imo, a lv2 merrli is better than a lv3 havnis
That's a good point. At one point I was playing both. I think Merli makes a lot of sense
I would just play them both or side deck havnis for going second or something like that but havnis is very good to mill on ur opponents turn

I think lightsworn won't do anything when they will get the support, there's shifter, bystials. The combos are super weak to regular handtraps like ash or imperm and you're forced to play at least 2 garnets in order to play the fusion which makes the deck a glass canon because if you don't win with it you probably lose on the next turn. Moreover the good cards to mill also are the worst cards to open. And the deck can only play at best 10 going second cards which is pretty low for a deck with a bad going second engine. I think people overestimate what the support, it doesn't make the deck playable by 2024 ygo standards since you litteraly have 0 follow up if your opponent manage to break your board and establish one on top

Although I agree the deck is weak to disruption, I do think the deck will at least see play as a mill+swarm engine. The deck doesn't have to summon the fusion to win, there's many other boss monsters you can end on. Bystials definitely hurt, but they weren't enough to counter tearlaments a year ago, so I'd be curious to see if that changes with lightsworns who suffer from the same weakness. I think any deck that can mill 15 cards off 1-2 cards is bound to see play if there are any graveyard strategies in the metagame
@@earthteamjordan Oh sorry if i didn't make myself clear enough, it was more like playing the fusion is bad imo and so for the dragons too. I don't think they fit well in 2024 ygo. Also, i think Lightsworn lacks identity without its bosses because the deck was just a bunch of engines mixed together something like 3 or 4 engines with 0 or 3 going second cards . The problem is playing their bosses is slowing you down. I'm not a purist for this deck but I'm afraid this support didn't solve the "identity crisis" Lightsworn is going through. Moreover, decks that do well in general have a clear marked identity and this is also why i think it's going to be bad even as an engine (there's no deck in 2024 that will wanna play wulf felis and other Lightsworns just for the sake of spamming monsters)
@@donovan7132 All good bro! I definitely think theres some truth to that. Lightsworn does not have clear end board on its own. Its really up to the random mills. Thats why it was difficult to make a clear combo guide lol. I dont think people will play Beast or Felis in other Decks, but Decks like Tearlaments can definitely make use of Charge, New Minerva, Weis, and Dragon, which are essentially a 4 card Mill engine. I've seen a lot of Dragon Link Players make crazy plays with Starliege into Small Dragon too
@@earthteamjordan you should try twilight lumina. If you make synchro minerva with 2 lighsworns, you send weiss and tls lumina. Then with minerva you banish up to 4 ls in your gy while keeping at least 1 ls in gy. It It will trigger lumina to mill an extra 3 and you have lumina live to bring back a lightsworn of your choice. You can even play selene to revive lumina and use it once again. At one point i was thinking of playing tls Jain because you can continuously summon it with tls lumina to mill 5 as long as you have lightsworns in your GY, i just stopped it because it was toi hard to set up but it was before the support. Maybe it'll work now
