I am almost your age and I agree with your comments but the gen z in Pakistan are crazy about Hassan Rahim and are dancing to this song... Traditionally coke studio was catering to age group 35 and above and there was nothing for the kids...so the idea was to pivot and bring the youth in the fold...coke studio started when I was in my early 20s and people my age became the core audience, as we fell in awe of the new sound which was traditional singing fused with the western instruments .... In this season you will notice the sound has already changed to electronic..this is embracing the change and being futuristic...so is the video production while keeping up with the spirit of live recoding of the entire song in one go...however a few takes are recorded and the best one is chosen ...
This is why I make it a habit to come to your reaction channel after listening to a song. Your takes on a song are always spot on. I didn't realize that the song was an anthem by and for Gen Z telling us old fogies (I'm around your age too) to move aside and make room for them and their taste in music. I agree with Jodi in that I, too, was hoping Hasan Raheem would have a little more oomph in his attitude and not be so laid back (I've never heard anything by him, so I don't know if that's just how he sings - but, interesting fact, he just graduated Med School). I also don't love the song, but definitely like it and will listen to it again. For me, it's my 3rd least favorite with only Sajan Das Na and Neray Neray Vas being my least favorites by far. Justin Bibis (pronounced: Bee Bees) have a really wholesome story, as you'll see in their BTS, and we're all rooting for them. Looking forward to the next [definitely not boring] reaction!

This song is very cool and current but you can see influences from the past. Go back to the days when you had curtains and step hair cut, you'll hear Drum and Bass and Techno Music influence. The guitar interlude towards the end was very similar to Mr Probz's "Wave after wave" . I loved it but this was Europe or US with very very little Pakistan

The beat, undeniably is groovy and gets you in the end. I feel like the star of the song is the beat and the vocals are the embellishment instead of the other way round usually, and that's why they have kept the vocals a bit subdued.
