Every time I watch these videos I think, "this is what they should've been doing in the sequels following Aliens."
God dammit Burke!!! lol - They would have had a franchise for decades with this. The Earth War would have spawned at least its own trilogy.

And, its impossible due to strong grasps on the copyrights of everything nowadays, even after 20 years, companies renew or re-buy, or newly obtain old copyrights that should have died at thier 20 year mark... how does that work anyway??? If copyrighted materials are supposed to have a shelf life of 20 years, who are they buying the new copyright from if the copyright doesn't exist after 20 years??? another way the "goddamn Companies" keep us down... we could be writing and creating in the alien universe right now, but it would violate copyrights if we did... ha ha... tangents and shit...
What I am trying to say is that I agree with you old buddy... and people like us should be the ones able to bring that to life... sort of a sub stream or sub branch off from the Hollywood ruiners and asshole writers who are just programmed to program us with religious allegory and bullshit social engineering agendas... it all goes back to the goddamn Company!!! As expected Earth is a total nightmare. A difficult place to try and survive like any apocalyptic setting. Though can relate to Newt's feelings in general. You want to see that girl and the people she represents as a whole saved.
So this is one of the best series of narration on youtube. When is the movie gonna happen?

Why can't there be a Netflix miniseries all about this Earth War? It would be very successful as the ALIEN franchise is still very popular even today. It'd be even better to have people like Ridley Scott and James Cameron involved in making it.

Ridley is still salty that Fox didn't even ask him to do a sequel before giving the job to Cameron so I doubt you'd get both of them working on something Alien.
It would be filled with liberal propaganda and would lack in passion concerning the writing. It's better left on this channel.

I actually came to this story arc via Steve Perry's novels before finding the original comics and the most compelling scenes in those were always the glimpses of Earth after the alien ravaging. Thank you for this video!

Heres a tip. If you are stuck playing "hide and seek" with an enemy, you hide where you can see them and you follow them. They never think to look behind them. Always follow the threat.

I have a theory about the secretion they immobiliser their victims in.
The fact that the aliens themselves retreat back into the same secretion may suggest that the dead victims are slowly absorbed by it to feed the hive while laying dormant.
If this is the case, then its a way of bringing back the deleted egg scene from the original film. And could also explain how they can remain dormant for weeks at a time
its like combination of beeswax and honey for the aliens. Functional structure to build nests and also a source of nutrition

Now this would have made for a great survival TV series. The Walking Dead got dull fairly quickly because zombies just aren't that interesting a foe after awhile. But all kinds of different breeds of aliens, combined with mad scientists, crazed cultists, apocalyptical marines, etc.. etc.. could really make for a great show. You listening A&E?!?!?
