It adds a sense of realism to it. I know that typically the heroes are supposed to fight fair to show they're above the villains, but when you're fighting someone out to kill you who won't hesitate to pull a cheap shot, it makes more sense to prioritize survival over dignity.
Frieza likes to make opponents he especially hates suffer and he hates no one more than Goku. He’s sadistic to a fault seeing as he can just destroy the planet with a finger. Also, I agree to an extent. I still feel like there are some lines that certain heroes shouldn’t cross like taking hostages or allowing crossfire casualties, but biting, sucker punches and hits to vital areas are just fine.
“Oh my is nothing beneath you” It’s funny, I remember how dirty goku used to fight as a kid, poking eyes, taunting and insults, tricking/lying pouring hot water down someone’s scuba tube, etc… He has DEFINITELY become a more “fair” fighter than before.
Goku was at first a brawler, a fighter using his natural instincts and strength to win... to survive in the wilderness, he then was taught martial arts by roshi which enabled him to fight more effectively and get stronger but he has never quite loss touch with his more instinctual fighting style
"Yes, I see it now...Kakarot really is a great warrior. Perhaps even the best. His power and skill know no bounds. Truly, he has mastered the art of -" _Goku gnawing Buu's head in the background_
I was the youngest of 4, and bite + scratch were my go to fight moves. My punches and kicks dig negative damage, just made me more tired and vulnerable. Though my most powerful move was screech. Besides being mostly unlockable and usable from a distance, it had the chance to summon an adult, which resulted in an insta win or draw.
To be fair, UI isn't exactly a power boosting form, it's similar to unleashed potential Gohan has, it clears the body's limits allowing them to fight a lot more effectively, but they're not really getting stronger in a sense. Also when your punch can split a mountain in half, your Jaw's going to crush pure metal...
@@vegetalover9297 it's not nessicarily a power boost (kinda is) but it's unleashes the users full potential and mind into both perfect offense and defense, they can perform at their very best and react inhumanly, but it's pretty much the same power as his base (remember goku alone is still VERY strong and all of his UI attacks catch his opponents off guard). Anyone can learn this technique, it's a form of perfect mastery over one's mind, body and soul, it does not give power, yet makes one more powerful too.
"You bit my tail!" "You punched me in the face!" _"You bit my fucking tail!!!1!"_ "Yeah well, I still haven't used my weighted clothing; does that mean I win?"
The funniest thing about it... Even Whis, a master of autonomous ultra instinct didnt see that coming or could he avoid it. Frieza is just a masochist at this point. He got bit twice.
Goku doesn't think poorly of whatever tactic or technique you use while fighting him. "Fair fight" in his mind just means that you shouldn't harm innocents, things like holding hostages or using an attack that would destroy the planet (if it has inhabitants).
Goku’s idea of a fair fight is: Both fighters KNOW the fight is happening, both fighters have access to their FULL power, both fighters are WILLING to fight. He doesn’t care about the tactics used.
Well to be fair, if a guy is punching and kicking me in a fight, I already expected that to happen. But if he blocks my haymaker just to pull me in by my wrist and fucking take a chomp at my arm instead of literally doing anything else that would be more effective at shutting my body down like a liver shot, I'd be pretty fucking bamboozled too.
I love that his bite is basically his trump card. Dudes out here can use energy blasts but the moment Goku uses this move, his opponent is completely caught off guard
Just like the rest of him, his muscle density and training makes his jaw muscles and teeth pack quite a punch. Being able to bite down hard enough to hurt Frieza is nuts.
So this is what we are calling Goku eating the entire family dinner? 'Training'. "Chichi you got to believe me. Your enslavement to our oven is for a good cause."

If the z fighters actually were like that the series would not have gone on that long
I wouldn’t even call it fighting dirty I would call it a last resort
Goku biting Buu while Vegeta dramatically monologues is one of my all time favorite scenes. There's just no way Buu could've seen that coming
It's Especially funny since buu also bit goku right before being bitten and buu was more distressed about the bite than goku was
That was my favorite. It was like a super powered playground fight. 🤣

It’s funny, I remember how dirty goku used to fight as a kid, poking eyes, taunting and insults, tricking/lying pouring hot water down someone’s scuba tube, etc…
He has DEFINITELY become a more “fair” fighter than before.
Goku was at first a brawler, a fighter using his natural instincts and strength to win... to survive in the wilderness, he then was taught martial arts by roshi which enabled him to fight more effectively and get stronger but he has never quite loss touch with his more instinctual fighting style
Daaaamn imagine snorkeling and all of sudden your mouth is soup....AND GOKUS NEAR!!!!!!

Frieza has the funniest reaction to anything 😂😂
As someone who has been bitten by their younger brother in an argument before, I can confirm that biting does 2x critical damage
That made me chuckle lol
well your mouth and teeth are strong enough to bite off fingers,a nose or an ear or somthing. So really i think anyone biting anyone is a good move.
yes and also does Bleed damage better watch out for those critters
Yeah and it stuns for a couple seconds too
I was the youngest of 4, and bite + scratch were my go to fight moves. My punches and kicks dig negative damage, just made me more tired and vulnerable. Though my most powerful move was screech. Besides being mostly unlockable and usable from a distance, it had the chance to summon an adult, which resulted in an insta win or draw.
This man not only bit Beerus, but also Whis and caused them pain without using Ultra Instinct. Those are some powerful teeth!
@@theomegablade6415 wdym it doesn't boost power lol🤦
@@vegetalover9297 it's not nessicarily a power boost (kinda is) but it's unleashes the users full potential and mind into both perfect offense and defense, they can perform at their very best and react inhumanly, but it's pretty much the same power as his base (remember goku alone is still VERY strong and all of his UI attacks catch his opponents off guard).
Anyone can learn this technique, it's a form of perfect mastery over one's mind, body and soul, it does not give power, yet makes one more powerful too.
@RazerShift many do not, some still think it's a Super Saiyan form only... despite Beerus himself saying he's tried to master it.

I love that Goku always makes a big deal about fighting fair but as soon as he’s losing he just starts biting people
Goku doesn't think poorly of whatever tactic or technique you use while fighting him.
Just don't put him in a hold... That prompts him to bite...
this comment is a good example that some people misinterpret the most obvious things
Biting in a fight is entirely fair. Hell, if it's for actual survival, ANYTHING in a fight is fair.
Goku just casually biting Beerus *and* Whis is one of my favorite things 😂😂
Funny thing is, it's always somehow super effective
Not in the Piccolo fight. A bite vs getting slammed into a rock and elbowed in the stomach full force. Not a smart exchange
I love how despite all the punches and the kicks and the ki blasts, it's always the bites that shook his enemies the most.

Dudes out here can use energy blasts but the moment Goku uses this move, his opponent is completely caught off guard
I mean if it works it works
Just like the rest of him, his muscle density and training makes his jaw muscles and teeth pack quite a punch. Being able to bite down hard enough to hurt Frieza is nuts.

Freiza tanked a planet exploding while cut in half yet still writhes in pain from Goku's bite
Well, he didn't exactly bite his nuts... but something else
So this is what we are calling Goku eating the entire family dinner? 'Training'. "Chichi you got to believe me. Your enslavement to our oven is for a good cause."
How the fuck did he damage an angel
Isn't it perfect how everyone that fights in DB can tank hits that can level planets or take blasts that can destroy a whole universe yet they have more reaction and expression when they get bitten because they literally never see that coming?!
