- Called on a new case, late at night, like always. Your partner is already on the scene, working out who on earth might have taken the poor fellow from the living. Something, someone not human... that's for sure.
I had the idea of a detective audio for while now, but I wanted to come up with something with a little bit of a twist (and a little bit of humour too... but not sure if this works, you let me know :D ).
Should we meet Alicia next?

Gotta say the banter in this was pretty fantastic.
That was fun! I never played any of the WoD or Vampire: The Masquerade, but I did watch Kindred: The Embraced. Another commenter (KrizzRobin113) mentioned it and it had a lot of the same clan names. My ears perked up when you mentioned Toreador. I would not mind a sequel to this if you feel like there is a good story to tell and you want to put the effort in.

I've listened through three or so times & I'm ashamed to say I don't get many of the references. However, I'm willing to learn & listening once again won't be difficult.

Oh, I'm so sorry you didn't get the references! That's the main problem with them... I should have tried to explain them a bit more I think. I'll try to be more comprehensive next time!
Please don't apologise for my lack of cultural knowledge (or perception at time of listening). You can't be expected to write in a way which includes everyone all the time, which I expect would either lessen the impact the impact of your work, or leave it over-bloated.
I enjoy your writing & performance to a degree which will lead me to hopefully learn, & not expect you to change just to suit me.
@@deeayenn Well thank you :) But it's also interesting to get this kind of feedback. Because sometimes I don't really think about what can be common knowledge and what isn't. So, stressing that can really help me with how I write content in the future.

In my experience it's very easy to wear blinkers without even realising. Topics I'm familiar with, cultural for example, I feel I know very well & others (history) I have a passing acquaintance.
But there are so many things which completely pass me by - anime I know nothing about & probably about 90% of video games etc.
I'm in no way pointing a finger specifically at you so please don't take this the wrong way. I expect you include in your writings things which you like/enjoy and 'expect' others to know of too, partially because they have great meaning for you (which is why one likes certain things).
And if you're anything like me, once you realise that others are not familiar you want to share your knowledge in order to hopefully bring a little joy to them & expand their knowledge too.
And if that is the case then you have succeed with me, re this, your latest narration.

I can't resist sharing a bit of dialogue I came across. English character and French character. French being constantly sarcastic. And some innuendo.
English: "Could you just, not, right now?"
French: "I am French. So... no."🤔
I wasn't sure if I should mention it, but since we're back in WoD. The TV series Kindred the Embraced, in 1996.
When I found out about it, I just thought: oh dear. They may be able to portray the characters properly, but there's no way they could show the world properly. 🤦♂️ But whoever convinced the network to go through with it must be very persuasive. 🤷♂️
What? A Malkavian? Heh, guess what? They're my favorite. Imagine that? 🧛♂️

Never heard of Kindred the Embraced... but it seem to have crossed the ocean two years after the US release so... but not on a popular channel.
Malkavians are the best, but the hardest to play properly as well. So I hope I'll play Alicia the right way :)
