Prayer of Bagonhons amidst the Covid-19 Outbreak

Our most loving God,
Who gives us life and the means to sustain it,
Who grants this life to be used in the service of creation and especially of humankind;
We humbly come before You today
saddened and afraid by the condition of the world and Your children;
We find ourselves in the midst of this menacing virus
that is causing illness and death of already a large number of our brothers and sisters;
We are frightened and helpless as we confront this unknown disease
that stalks and threatens the world, our Country, our City, our lives, and our livelihood;
We, Bagonhons, are greatly alarmed
for ourselves, our families, friends, and our fellowmen in and out of the Country;
We are greatly worried that this very unfortunate event
would disrupt the services we render - services for people in need;
With all humility, we now call on Your love and kindness and mercy
to allow the earliest discovery of the medicine that would alleviate
and cure those afflicted by COVID- 19;
We pray for our leaders to be always enlightened
in the decisions they make for all of us in these trying times;
We pray especially for our health and medical professionals and service providers
to be granted physical endurance, patience, and compassion to face and help those in need;
We call on You to grant us good health and courage to face these days challenges,
always praying and helping in every way we can;
In the most powerful name of Jesus, Your Son, please hear us.
Mary, Help of Christians, pray for us.
St. Joseph, pray for us.
St. John the Baptist, pray for us.
All Angels and Saints, pray for us.
