i remember when FF14 added him as a raid tier, being the Main Tank in the fight against him was amazing, even with cooldowns to reduce damage, he STILL hit like a truck to which the healers asked if i was using cooldowns "yes he is, Mustard Bomb hits THAT hard!!" came the other tanks reply 😂
It lives up to its name as machine meant to try to kill gods....And I thought Final Fantasy XV's Omega was devastating considering it is practically immune to the Ring.
I do love Final Fantasy XVI's iteration of Omega that is meant to kill Eikons/Dominants, essentially a god-killer. It definitely felt like it lived up to the reputation.
Probably one of my favorite entities in the series. He might even be lurking in my fantasy series somewhere. Grand information too! I always like seeing some of the things for 12/14 since I've never played them. Just not a bit MMO person xD
@@TheAuron32 Oh, Omega returned in the latest patch? That's intriguing, I know what Endwalker did with his lore but not that. Will look into that indeed.
@@DrakeyC in the main part of it, 6.0 we learn where he came from and even see a recreation of his people and how he knows Midgarzomor. the patch that dropped last Tuesday, 6.15 is more of an epilogue for both Omega and the main theme of Endwalker, it added some closure to a question asked by a pivotal NPC. They are not done with Omega's story yet it seems.
Since this video is from 2021 apologies if you are told this already but you have some misinformation about XIV's incarnation of Omega (and I'm not talking about information that was added after this video was published). After the final fight with Omega, Cid says that it was the Warrior's human spirit that makes them so powerful, Omega wonders that if it integrates that power would it have the strength needed to return home but Cid says having the Human spirit would actually not help for no person can withstand that long journey alone without having their spirit broken, after that exchange Omega "dies". Though revealed in the extra story of an alternate timeline, Omega actually did move it's mind to the miniature toy Omega (built by Biggs and Wedge) and in that alternate timeline Omega managed to obtain the human spirit, a soul.
That is indeed an error on my part, I thought Omega survived the final encounter beyond the part of its consciousness in the miniature. Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching the vid. :(
Probably one of "out of context" boss in entire franchise.. In setting with sword, magic and dragons, fighting a dimension-hopping mecha would be one least thing you'd expect
I always took it as there is more then 1 omega out there. Each with the same mission. After all why make just the one when it could possibly be defeated?
17:58 no omega does not implicitly return to its own world, it dies Also the XIV section should be redone with the information revealed about omega in Endwalker. Where the 'spectors' of the creators of omega are interacted with, the Omnicrons.
while Omega and Omega WEAPON are 2 different SUPER bosses their BOTH still a PAIN in the ass to kill Starting with FF5's OMEGA boss FF8's boss can be easily beaten as long as you keep Hero's/Holy Wars/Invincible moon in effect and don't DIE from its opening lv 5 death attack.

Here from XVI and I gotta say, omega does not disappoint
indeed it did not

Same. I'm never gonna play FF14, but I love the time its putting into growing its lore and adapting ideas from past games into it.
@@DrakeyC look into what just dropped in 6.15, holy hell they added so much lore to him, i am very happy, he has real character development.

@@TheAuron32 Very cool.
Always a terror to encounter I love it

@@DrakeyC No problem! Aside from small XIV mistake, I enjoyed the video.
again, thank you
You're quite welcome :)
Let me guess variant of Cid from another universe created Omega to Kill shinryu.
Probably one of "out of context" boss in entire franchise.. In setting with sword, magic and dragons, fighting a dimension-hopping mecha would be one least thing you'd expect
I made a story where Shinryu is the protagonist and Omega is the villain

My mistake. Researching FF14 story-specific content is tricky sometimes. I can't update the videos, however, without doing full re-uploads
Wave cannon and giga flare were used by omega in ff 5 and was a S.O.B. to deal with.
If the prototypes probably are prototypes of omega, i wonder if the Mecha Heads has some relation too.
If you play world of final fantasy the playable mechahands transfigure into the playable omega

Do you know anything about the omega in 16?
Yes, I've actually played the DLC. There's a livestream archive from it on my channel if you'd like to watch :)
Maybe he was created by the lufanians from final fantasy 1
XVI was the best version in my opinion but XV was so scary to me
Genuinely curious, how does someone pronounce the letter r as a w? Is it a lisp thing, a speech impediment maybe?
Yes, it's a speed impediment.
I honestly hate the FFXIV omega because it really fucks with the lore about it and Shinryu which is a far more powerful dragon than Midgardsormer.
