This amazing game is based on the ancient Greek ''PARADOX OF THESAUS''. After Thesaus had killed the Minotaur in Crete and returned to Athens as a hero, they kept his Ship as a monument of Heroism, to remind people of his Courage. As years went by, the wooden parts of the Ship started to fall and then they decided to REPLACE the former wood parts with new ones. THEN the question was raised: AFTER THE REPLACEMENT, WAS IT STILL THE SAME HEROIC SHIP OR HAD IT LOST ITS GREATNESS?
I bought it yesterday for just $1,50 and it was amazing, I would have paid the full price for this game. Couldn't leave the PS4 without finishing it first.
This game looks very interesting! I love puzzle games. Yes, other gamed are great too, but sometimes I'd rather not play a "movie" type game. Those get boring after a while. I like games that allow me to feel like I'm doing something other than just staring at a screen
All of the clones where always moving together with any command, so guess that what actually happened was that your consciousnesses was spread across all of them.
You should make a movie with that premise, and reveal it only at the very end. Maybe by drowning the lead (or one of the leads) in a trap door see through vat full of water.
I genuinely thought that 3:41 was a reference to Alien: Isolation's crt monitors and a nice reference at that, but this video was actually uploaded a whole year before A:I :O
Game looks like a Tool video, cool...i could totally hear "this body, this body holding me, be my reminder here that i am not alone...feeling eternal..all this pain is an illusion...
ahhh, when i used to listen to that album back in the day i thought he said 'we live eternal' i suppose 'feeling eternal' makes more sense, cool maynard with his obscure sounding lyrics :) yeah quite tool like this game looks
Michael Scott yeah your right he does, just before the cool guitar outro bit./ what's your favourite Tool song then. have you heard their version of 'No quarter' that is well good. listen to the the album 'discipline' by king crimson, that is very tool like b4 tool existed and listen to 'This Heat', scary advanced stuff
i wanted to ask first before i get this, but i think the sale would be over before i get a reply, only got back home today for the sale ehehe, anyways, would the story compare to portal 2007? i just wanted a unique and cool story, been saving my $5 for a resogun sale, but this cross buy title sounds great, i love the artstyle, and i just recently finished portal for the first time and fell in love with that game. i already have too many games on backlog, so maybe i shouldnt go for it...
The visuals are really appealing and has a kind of a Trine-esque atmosphere to it which is good. To guys saying this game is LIMBO with guns, please stop. This game isn't even black and white nor 2D. Stop equating every 2D/2.5D game to LIMBO. Why I'm saying this? Same happened to This War of Mine, Monochroma, DeadLight, heck even Braid to some extent. Just play and enjoy 'em
There are lots of Xbox games that require you to be precise. I guess a good example of how the gameplay in general could be achieved would be the Xbox version of Terraria.
I can't imagine this being played well on a controller. You create the clones using the mouse and a lot of the puzzles you have to be precise on where you aim at.
Christmas Break coming soon. This is one of the indies I am getting, along with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, NaissanceE, Contrast and Outlast. I can almost feel it.
Joseph Dyer That's nice, but I am gaming on PC. Got it for 3 U.S. Dollars, and already finished it. It's the best indie I have ever played. Amazing atmosphere, story and gameplay.
Some challenges require pinpoint precision that can only be achieved by a mouse. Unless these challenges would be altered, they would be near impossible on consoles.
Transistor is pretty amazing, with a unique battle system and great music and setting, the story you have to piece together but really has a deep meaning. It's short but quality over quantity and the new game+ and challenges should keep you occupied for a little bit longer. This game looks really interesting and fun to play, along with Valiant Hearts which also comes out later this month. Can't really go wrong with any, hope this helps!
I think they over-designed an otherwise interesting game with the clone mechanic. It would be ok if it was used sparingly, but looks over-used cumbersome and redundant. Will appeal to a very fringe group.
Trine 1 and 2 (take the bundle for ps4). Also if you play on PC or PS3, you should not miss Braid. :) It will take you to the limit. :) Also, you can try Limbo. :) Enjoy and happy gaming. I know I am 11 months late to answer to your question but maybe it helps. :)
Andy Gross Witcher 3 is the best RPG ever made, it could be over rated, but it's like saying the best RPG ever made is over rated. I guess you can say that if you want. lol

Like John Dies At The End.

is this in-game music? it's sick
It is
@Arte Floe at least he got an answer lol
Game's just a masterpiece.
This and "Brothers - a tale of two sons" are the best indie games of 2013

Plot twist: All the clones had souls and you didn't actually swap your consciousness. You actually made a clone and committed suicide with each swap.
All of the clones where always moving together with any command, so guess that what actually happened was that your consciousnesses was spread across all of them.
You should make a movie with that premise, and reveal it only at the very end. Maybe by drowning the lead (or one of the leads) in a trap door see through vat full of water.
I heard metroid and portal and I got giddy as a school girl.
recently bought this on humble bundle during their end of the summer sale. looking forward to playing it.
The guy in this video says its like Portal, but the puzzles really remind me much more of Lemmings (from the 90s, ref. history.)
I genuinely thought that 3:41 was a reference to Alien: Isolation's crt monitors and a nice reference at that, but this video was actually uploaded a whole year before A:I :O
That clone system reminds me of "Inside" by Playdead
By only watching this review and hearing the sound in the background makes me feel sad.. The developer must be a very intelligent person.

in the last verse he does say "we are eternal"....;-)

Fav TOOL song is Lateralus. I'll have to check them out, king crimson. And yes, love TOOL version of no quarter!
Thanks for this detailed, informative review. Good job!

The graphics look beautiful. I hope the story is just as intriguing as the layout.
The visuals are really appealing and has a kind of a Trine-esque atmosphere to it which is good.

u like the visuals? its graphics is what ruins it all

Coming to wii u later this year!
This game is amazing, love it!
Christmas Break coming soon. This is one of the indies I am getting, along with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, NaissanceE, Contrast and Outlast. I can almost feel it.
this game is going to be in the january PS Plus releases.

Joseph Dyer
If I get the game buth few days later my subsription to Plus finishes, I will able to play it?
MaQuGo119 My friend has a PS3, and he cannot play the games he got through PS Plus unless the subscription is still going.
MaQuGo119 You can beat it in 5-6 hours. It's not a long game.
Went to put it on my wish list and it's been there for almost a month...whoa. Not sure how I wouldn't remember that. This game looks awesome!
Free for Ps plus next month
After playing this, I never wanna play another puzzle game ever again.
Was it too good?
Or too frustratingly hard?
Ive played a lot of puzzles. this is a hard one.
this is $1.49 on psn right now and i think imma pick it up
art style reminds me of Limbo - loved that game.
Some challenges require pinpoint precision that can only be achieved by a mouse. Unless these challenges would be altered, they would be near impossible on consoles.
Just picked this up for $2 on Steam via the Summer Sale. Can't wait to get lost in it later tonight!
u mean $2.99?
No, I mean't $2.00.
Adrian Hopkins how, its $2.99 in North America
The game is made by a Finnish game studio - didn't know at first.
I agree. The atmosfair of the game it looks fantastic!
The game is amazing. The soundtrack is nothing less than a masterpiece.
Abe's Exodus Lemmings clone, looks good though.
sure it will come to consoles at some point...probably under the radar tho
Imagine a metroid game with this art style
GT, you should start naming the platforms the reviewed game is avalable on.
As of right now I'm only a few hours into the game and I fucking love it.
Great review for what looks like a fantastic game.
Spoiler Alert: This game is amazing!
looks like a beautiful lilttle game
tanx 4 the rev
Eager to play this.
I'm debating whether to get transistor for ps4 or wait for the release of the swapper on ps4
Transistor is pretty amazing, with a unique battle system and great music and setting, the story you have to piece together but really has a deep meaning. It's short but quality over quantity and the new game+ and challenges should keep you occupied for a little bit longer.
This game looks really interesting and fun to play, along with Valiant Hearts which also comes out later this month.

where did you get this game? steam? its awesome!
They should do more games like limbo and the swapper ..
Looks like a great game.
That doesn't bother me. I'd be fine with playing it. :)
I love this game.
Why the rocket is tin can?
Also looks like limbo. Another great game
Not enough shooting photo-realistic human beings in the face for points, right?
Great free game shame I see no one on my list playing it.....
I'd love to play this game, but I'm not big on PC's... ;-;
It's more like limbo but with a clone gun
Free for ps plus!
I think they over-designed an otherwise interesting game with the clone mechanic. It would be ok if it was used sparingly, but looks over-used cumbersome and redundant. Will appeal to a very fringe group.
Awesome game, but way too short.
I don't have the nerves to play this type of game
dont make the mistake, of dismissing, this Whopper 4:00
Sick.
its just a 1 gb game and i was so fucked up that it needs gl 1.5!!!!

Anyone get a slight blade runner vibe with the music?
yeah i'll pass :p seems too hard and not worth my time. I'll pick up dark souls or save my money for GTAV
excellent game
Excellent game
Can anyone recommend a couple of indies games that's 2d but 3d just like this one.
trine 2
Portal 1 & 2
LittleBigPlanet
Steven Archuleta lol... Portal 1&2 and also LittleBigPlanet are not Indie games...

ı cant beliave this game not get attension but hades like game get.
I'll make the mistake gladly, these kind of games are just not my cup of tea.
puzzles annoy me.
mim add amigos americanos
Another over rated 2d indie game
+HybridEnergy I am really enjoying it... Then again I was big into point/click puzzle games of the 90's.... One could say Witcher 3 is over rated...
Andy Gross Witcher 3 is the best RPG ever made, it could be over rated, but it's like saying the best RPG ever made is over rated. I guess you can say that if you want. lol
All I know is I got 20 minutes in and was in boredom city.
Andy Gross
I only played it for 216 hours on steam. Sucks balls.
No wonder, you didn't even get past the intro. lmao
I guess that's why mediocre games are targeted at the masses. Simple minded games for simple minded people.
Boring
COD RIPOFFFFFF!!!!!
Same as Limbo
