I had an amazing T-Bone steak at the Royal Hotel in Condobolin! The bus trip from Cootamundra seems quite LONG, so if you are adverse to bus travel, that run is a bit too long! Anyhow, at least TRAINLINK have THREE bus routes linking Cootamundra to the Western Line. One to Condo via Temora and Lake Cargeligo, one to Dubbo and another route through Cowra to Bathurt. I have now done them all! A bus route links Lightning Ridge to Toowoomba via St George and Dirranbandi. I have traveled on that route.
@@tramwayjohn Nice work .I have been lucky enough to get about a bit by car , with my father . I live in Murwillumbah now , but drive through that way around once a year on my way to Melbourne .
@@cwegers3 I use the trains mostly, on my trips to Melbourne. My intention is to travel on various routes to and From Melbourne, rather than the main line all the way, via Albury. Driving is OK with a stopover and perhaps going through some former railway towns along the way, such as Batlow, Tocumwal, or Bomballa. By the way, it is viable to travel by train and bus, with a night in Batlow, which was the terminus of a branch line railway, many years ago. One would travel from Sydney to Cootamundra by train, and then by bus via Tumut to Batlow. The next day there is a bus from Batlow to Wagga, with a train connection to Melbourne.
Condobolin has had a steady population of 3,500 for as long as I've been around .... and that is the late 60's . Enjoyable video .
