no it's not. bc ontario leaves in an alternate reality! why would we want to export that crap? You cannot have major differences bc the provinces and then have them just work together for business stuff! ALL they do is export their dellusions everywhere else. And then we have a "culture war" in every freaking work place. You try arguing with loons all day and see how you feel about it. Then we'll talk.
It actually made sense at one point in time. For instance, breweries cannot easily move alcohol which means that breweries need to have a physical plant in each province, meaning jobs in each province. If this wasn't in place, the big breweries would set up one huge plant in likely Ontario, and then ship the products from there. Ontario would be preferentially the location of many of these companies. Great for Ontario, but sucks for everyone else. Makes less sense now
This is what I'm talking about, a political ad not about tearing down your opponent but just plainly explaining what are the current problems and how to fix them. Bravo
Agreed, i just wish they would have started this as soon as Freeland Resigned, instead of wasting valuable time beating a dead horse with the wackos ad. You don't need to disparage a party when their DPM stepped down and half the caucus wants their PM to resign. They're already cooked and Canadians already hate them. You need to tell people why YOU'RE worth voting for.
@@Rellik242 I actually agree. Some of his best videos have been videos like this. Educate people on the problems in the country and how they can be fixed.
We could be a superpower if we stopped trying to follow America’s barking orders; build refineries, pipelines, invest in our military, secure our Northwest Passage and allow allies to pass; we could easily become a global superpower off our resources alone.
Simple. Those in charge are selling the nation's resources out for personal/strategic gains. Some of those proceeds go towards the nation but it's bare minimum to avoid suspicions and keep citizens happy. When it festers long enough, problems start to show up and that's when the extent of the damage is revealed. Its happened many times over the world throughout history and is doomed to repeat.
Decades of incompetent governments that don't see canadas true value. Selfish language, greedy, lobbyists/politicians have only treated Canada as the place with lots of land and nothing more. Pierre won't fix this just like the liberals didn't either. We need REAL leaders, not these clowns that were born into politics with no real job experience whatsoever.
I loved this video! No insults, no put-downs of opponents, just sound comments and positive solutions. Common sense! Thanks Pierre! The election can’t come soon enough.
Solutions like this will only come from the Conservatives. It is not a direction the Liberals have shown any interest in pursuing. This is why we find ourselves here. And, as you can see, the only party trying to find solutions like this, is the Conservative party. The Liberals are only looking at retaliatory tariffs, instead of fixing the problems that brought us to this.
I'm a 20 year Law Enforcement Officer who works in Ontario. I can't work anywhere else in Canada as a Law Enforcement Officer without being retrained and starting over as a new hire. That makes no sense. Canada truly needs to open itself up to Canada. You have my vote... whenever that happens.
Wow that is egregious, especially because by my understanding the Police Act is Federal and you, technically, have nation-wide jurisdiction as a peace officer.
It’s also illegal to be a volunteer firefighter in Canada 😂 You must be paid 😂, so you don’t have any help during fires and have to import Australian firefighters.
Dude exactly... my girlfriend is training to become a counsellor (masters in psych) and the requirements are absurdly different for some provinces... if she wants to move from ontario to alberta or alberta to nova scotia it's extremely messy and complicated for her to be allowed to work as a counsellor in a different province. Like, why??? It's the same country?? Back where I'm from in Brazil if you become any type of professional you're allowed to work ANYWHERE within the country. Lawyer, accountant, counsellor, police officer, real estate agent, etc. You can work anywhere from north to south, east to west. But here in Canada, my god.... good luck relocating as a real estate agent. Might as well restart your career from scratch after you see how much retraining/recertifying you'll have to do lol.
Yup. My husband a physician, Canadian trained and schooled… can only work in the province he has a license in. Not qualified to practice in other provinces. Family practice, ER, and addictions medicine. But can’t work one province over. Make it make sense.
Im an apprentice electrician, every hour over 40 about 80% goes to the government. Ill wire every new house we need and do 80 hour weeks easily so i dont have to worry about my one year old goign hungry. me and my wife have good paying jobs in nova scotia we work hard. we're lucky to have more than 100 dollars left at the end of the month once bills are paid. And we're like lower middle class. its insane
@Confessionofteenagenuns I'm in a similar situation. I work 70hr weeks. With 30hrs OT at time and a half, I get paid for 85 hrs of my wage per week. However I only get an additional 35 percent on my check vs a 40 hr week. It's too much
I had no idea!!! Absolutely ludicrous ! Thank you Pierre for your common sense knowledge and wake up call for all Canadians!!! You r what Canada needs . let’s bring Canada home ❤
@@joeboudreault2226 that’s funny. Try getting your information from other sources like Northern Perspective or directly from Mr. Poilievre site and please stop relying on main stream media that is bought and paid for by Trudeau
@dars957 No he isn't. But Pierre P is not totally trustworthy because he has not answered mass immigration prevention or why he supports carbon capture, and a few other items he's clear on. I'm for the most principled leader our there: Max Bernier. You see, I vote principle and morals, not party.
I totally agree that removing these trade barriers is essential to our economy!! As a former long-haul trucker, I traveled from Victoria, BC to PEI! We have a beautiful country, and we all should be committed to making it more prosperous!
Excellent video that gives Canadians a clear picture and an intelligent, common-sense plan. Canada first, Canada last, Canada always! Bring it home Pierre.
We will also need to expand our international trade. Poilievre voted against a free trade deal with Ukraine (because of their carbon tax). Does not want us involved in the EU trading block because of their Carbon Tax. Wants to walk away from the World Economic Forum and the UN. Not very bright.
@ Province regulations between provinces stem from Trudeau's bony hand in it. Here is a very small example. In Quebec and before Trudeau, the Old Dutch (Winnipeg, MB) potato chips could be found in every supermarket. Since Trudeau, this brand of chips has been nowhere to be found except, up to December 2024, in a Maxi (Loblaws-owned) store. Today, you can not find these chips if your life depends on them. Again, this is a very small example, but you get the point. The leading chip is Lay's from Frito-Lay, which is not from Canada.
I've been saying this for 30 years. Canada can self sustain. Help yourself before helping others, it's just common sense. Let's put Canada first, when we are set, then we can think about others. Poilievre is the PM we need.
You can't sustain yourself. It's not just the trade barriers. It's the geography as well that makes inter provincial trade possible. Also the distances involved. Must Canadians live closer to the US border than they do to each other. Also US has an economy 15 times larger. And Canada is still dependent on US for security.
@@mignik01 these are fair points. However, I have to ask, excluding southern Ontario, have you been anywhere else in Canada? Geography will make interprovincial trade difficult? We have developed highways that run across the whole country that are well maintained, and will only get better and wider with the federal investing more on them for the purposes of trading within the country. We have been reliant on the US for security? Canadians have always helped the US with its wars, the 1st and 2nd WW, Korean War, and Afghanistan. Furthermore, you would have to go back all the way to the colonial era to find a history record of another nation invading North America in general as an act of aggression.
@@mignik01 still need to be more self sufficient. Can’t rely on states for any trade while Trump is in power. I would be surprised if he would even help militarily. No, we should do as much business as we can between ourselves and whatever we have to between us and other countries, not the USA.
@ I have gone across canada and I have gone across and across the US. And, even if you are travelling from Ontario to BC, it is always better to cross over to the US. Sure. But US can execute those wars without Canadians. They are not reliant to Canada. Canadians were being partners. You don't need to invade to cause a security issue. An entity blockading shipping and targeting ports would be enough.
As an American,I respect Poilievre and his Canada First approach. Every leader of every country should put their country and people first instead of pandering to special interests and globalist elites.

This is absolutely genius! The content and the delivery are superb. Mr. Pollievre, let me tell you, as a small business owner, there is another barrier! Postal Shipping costs!!! It's ridiculously expensive! It's cheaper for me to sell to customers in the US than to other provinces in Canada. For example shipping apparel to the US sometimes cost me between $8-$10 but to ship to another province in Canada it will cost almost $18-$25. LET'S REDUCE POSTAL COSTS TOO AND MAKE IT CHEAPER TO BUY FROM DIFFERENT SMALL BUSINESS ALL OVER CANADA. NOW THAT IS COMMON SENSE GOVERNMENT. Can't wait for you to be the next Pime Minister
Right now, what will that accomplish? We can't have an election right now, if they come back, all parties need to work together to stabilize the situation before we go to the polls.
@@Coreyhkh2 This is the problem we have. We need a federal government that is in a position to actually negotiated, whether that's with the provinces, the US or anyone else. Why negotiate with Trudeau? He's gone in a month. Will his successor honour his agreements? Do you wait to negotiate with his successor then? Why? There may be an election called two weeks after the Liberals pick a new leader. Do you just assume that PP will win the election and start negotiating with him now? Put aside the fact that it's inappropriate, there's no guarantee of a Conservative victory. The need for an election isn't because it'll deliver fast results. It's needed because until there's a election no one in Canada has the credibility to actually negotiate anything.

Many are in the same position, I know I am; but I realize that as long as we live by their status quo we will always be sick and tired
The way our country came together and then developed over the last 100 years, was a patchwork of competing interests and powers. We have a goofy system that concentrated power first in the east and Quebec, and that shifted to Quebec and Ontario. They rule over everyone else and there's nothing we can do about it.
@ I completely agree. Especially if you look at the balance of provincial power in elections, Alberta and BC should have far more seats by population then the Eastern Provinces do. Canada needs a lot of help and change, but I believe we can still save it.
Pierre rocks This is a guy that consistently shows the way forward He shows real world solutions to existing problems without tearing down his opponent
Interprovincial trade barriers are not well understood. Make these costs transparent so the special interests get bulldozed by public demands. The Canadian premiers have already been working on this with Trudeau's support -- old news. It's complicated but doable and they're on it. Poilievre, as always, arrives late and tries to jump to the front of the parade with simplistic reductionist "solutions." The problem is the anti-liberals don't seem to read real news.
As an American with only rudimentary understanding of the tariffs, I think every country should be able to support themselves. Those nonsense restrictions on interprovincial trading are insane. I like Pierre. The people first is how it should be. Good luck Canada.
The global World Order that has existed since WWII that Trump wants to destroy is based on the capitalistic and free market idea that every individual and entity including at the country level can't be expert at everything, each and every determines what he can do best and sells to others that specialize in other things. Global commerce is based on the free exchange of goods and trade imbalances exist because some are just that much better at making things others want and some are just that much more wealthy and have the means to purchase than others. Ordinarily, tariffs are small and used only to make minor adjustments to favor friends but Trump wants to misuse tariffs as a weapon, he's a child spraying everyone with a machine gun maiming friends, allies as well as perceived enemies, no one will escape being hit.
thank you, hey Trump is also looking out for his people and what they put him thru, I will stand with him, but as a Canadian citizen, I really should be supporting our country's needs and paying more attention on Parliament, and in the end, I feel both countries will be stronger
You'd be horrified with how diseased the Canadian system is and has always been, all in the interest of keeping the balance of power in Ontario and Quebec.
Couldn't agree more life in Canada is difficult at best, taxes, lack of opportunity, inflation make living here a real challenge, a change in government and policy would be a good start.
I'll vote for this. Good video and it is long overdue that Canada should have an internal free trade agreement. Recognizing credentials in all provinces and territories so that workers are free to move and pursue their career anywhere in the country. Also, we need more oil and gas pipelines going east/west. Right now, the main line from Alberta to Ontario dips down and goes through the States. This removes our sovereignty over our own resources. We cannot even export tax oil and gas effectively right now unless we cut off Ontario from Alberta oil and gas. We need more ports, LNG, pipelines, and refineries so that we can access Asia and Europe without involving America. National sovereignty is at stake.
Thanks for admitting, seriously, didn’t you know that Canadian refineries in east coast use imported oil? And Alberta and BC had a trade war over wine few years back. Alberta rather ship their barley to Scotland instead our fellow Canadian breweries. Saskatchewan ship their lentils to India and Walmart sells lentils imported from India, Costco sells imported dairy and meat products. Our own loblaw doesn’t sell Saskatchewan lentils and fresh fruits and vegetables from BC and Quebec. ❤ Canada

However, if you ask AI, ChatGPT or MS CoPilot on MS Edge, if you're a computer user, you will be surprised by the answer it gives when you ask: Is what Poliverre offering us the best approach, or has there been a better strategy used that will turn the tide with Trumps disrespect of Canada?

Pierre Poilievre is most definitely NOT the first politician to address the issue of interprovincial trade barriers in Canada. He's just the first in decades to pretend he can easily fix it. In reality both the federal government and provincial premiers have been actively working to reduce these barriers for several years. Look up the following. 1. Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA): Implemented in 2017, the CFTA was designed to reduce internal trade barriers and promote the free movement of goods, services, and investments across provinces. While it marked progress, challenges remained due to numerous exemptions and specific provincial regulations. 2. Federal Action Plan to Strengthen Internal Trade: In July 2024, the federal government announced efforts to remove barriers hindering commerce within Canada. This initiative aimed to harmonize regulations and facilitate easier interprovincial trade. 3. Western Provinces' Agreement: Provinces like British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan have proposed renewing agreements to accelerate the reduction of interprovincial trade barriers at a regional level. 4. Chambers of Commerce Advocacy: Provincial chambers, including the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, have urged premiers to address internal trade barriers, emphasizing the economic benefits of such actions. These initiatives show that the issue of interprovincial trade barriers has been on the political agenda for some time, with various levels of government striving to enhance internal trade. While Pierre Poilievre's recent video brings renewed attention to the topic, it's part of an ongoing conversation among Canadian policymakers. And it's been on the news, if anybody's been reading it. Inter-provincial trade barriers must be REMOVED. That's the emergency action to be taken as a response to Trump's tariffs, NOT counter tariffs that only increase consumer prices.
PMs from every party have proposed eliminating internal trade barriers, provinces have always balked. Are Conservatives really saying that they would like Trudeau to impose his will on Alberta and remove all provincial tariffs? Cuz, that would be fun.

But we truly are at an existential crisis point and I honestly believe if we don't get a Conservative majority in, and soon, Canada genuinely may not survive.
Thank you for coming up with an idea that PREMIERS AND TRUDEAU HAVE ALREADY BEEN WORKING ON. Classic Poilievre -- always showing up late and trying to jump to the front of the parade.
We need to remove many more barriers and make Canada the most attractive place in the world to invest and do business in. Lower taxes, remove draconian regulatory barriers and get projects approved immediately. Get rid of the capital gains tax completely. No one should be punished for taking risks in their life by having to pay tax on inflation or being punished for success that benefits us all. This is a wake up call. Canada needs a GROW BABY GROW mentality. This is the fight of our lives and we have to compete for our survival.
And how will we do this without expanding International Trade? Poilievre voted against a free trade deal with Ukraine (because of their carbon tax). Does not want us involved in the EU trading block because of their Carbon Tax. Wants to walk away from the World Economic Forum and the UN. His conspiracy fetish doesn’t make economic sense.

Now this is refreshing to see. It's interesting, like a nat geo documentary. And its well put together where a person can attain a better level of understanding. Not full of slander. Not full of statements to divide. Put your glasses back on Pierre, roll up your sleeves, and instill confidence in conservative government again for the non extremist conservatives like myself, please. The comments to this are so peaceful now, and not so full of anger. I was ashamed of being a conservative with the way the party's following were behaving. You must be able of seeing whats going on to the south of us. Its borderline civil war. Unite this country, before its too late.
Wow! That is insane. Attorney here. The U.S. Constitution forbids any subpart of the U.S. from imposing any barriers to commerce or travel. No State for instance could impose a tax on goods coming from another state. That is crucial.
I agree with Pierre, with the proper leadership our country could be as prosperous as the Arab oil rich areas. Please Canada, get off this crazy Liberal roller coaster and, when the time finally gets here vote Pierre. We can't afford not too.
@danbeatty3580 - When I travelled in Germany as a student, at youth-hostels German students asked me WHY Canada wasn't more prosperous, Canada has absolutely EVERYTHING !!! space galore, intelligent workforce, farms, forests/lumber, petroleum, metals and minerals of EVERY kind, uranium, infinite amounts of fresh water, coal, even ginseng and jade and gold and even diamonds...

We can not vote in change , we must find a way to change our political system and take away the Ontario and Quebec dominance the Laurention elites before we can call ourselves Candians
My sister and I were talking about this just a few days ago! These interprovincial barriers have been in place forever. It makes no sense. Are we or are we not a country? We should be able to do business with each other. What is wrong with our government? Let’s get on with it and drop these ridiculous barriers. Now!
Thanks for your morale support. As a Canadian I am waiting for the day we can prosper as two nations pulling in the same direction for the benefit of all .
The idea that we even have trade barriers within our own borders is absolutely absurd.
🎯
no it's not. bc ontario leaves in an alternate reality! why would we want to export that crap?
Makes less sense now
I agree
the idea is GREED. its not new, its engrained in Gen X and Boomers

@@Rellik242 I actually agree. Some of his best videos have been videos like this. Educate people on the problems in the country and how they can be fixed.
I've asked my whole life, why the hell is one of the most naturally rich countries not a self sufficient nation
Because your globalist (socialist/communist) government sold u out.
You should ask the provinces, because it's not like the Federal government (or PP) has any power to do anything about it regardless of what he says.
I loved this video! No insults, no put-downs of opponents, just sound comments and positive solutions. Common sense! Thanks Pierre! The election can’t come soon enough.

Why were woke Canadians we don't know what women are?
@johnjacopec6668 Timbit Trump our conservative leader? Maybe MAGA Martha, our UCP leader from Alberta? I doubt it.
Solutions like this will only come from the Conservatives. It is not a direction the Liberals have shown any interest in pursuing. This is why we find ourselves here. And, as you can see, the only party trying to find solutions like this, is the Conservative party. The Liberals are only looking at retaliatory tariffs, instead of fixing the problems that brought us to this.
you mean for simpletons to understand?
I'm a 20 year Law Enforcement Officer who works in Ontario. I can't work anywhere else in Canada as a Law Enforcement Officer without being retrained and starting over as a new hire. That makes no sense. Canada truly needs to open itself up to Canada.
You have my vote... whenever that happens.
Wow that is egregious, especially because by my understanding the Police Act is Federal and you, technically, have nation-wide jurisdiction as a peace officer.
To be fair Lawyers are similar. Laws are different in different places. You need to be trained in the local.
It’s also illegal to be a volunteer firefighter in Canada 😂
You must be paid 😂, so you don’t have any help during fires and have to import Australian firefighters.
No tax on Over Time. This will encourage Canadians to work harder to help rebuild our country.

Not very bright.
It’s not real. He only wants election. He had to change his tune. Once in he will let Trump at us.

@ Although it is much better to take down any barriers in trade. You are not going to replace trade with an economy 15 times larger.

The parliament must reopen immediately

I hate Trudeau but I was actually carefully considering Carney because he seemed to have a strong economic resumé and I wasn’t really seeing an actual electoral platform for the conservatives. This definitely reinforces my choice for Poilievre.
Are you serious? Carney is a WEF Globalist with the exact same polies as Trudeau. Pierre has been releasing his policy positions regularly on videos like these since he gained the Conservative Leadership. Or, look up his policies on the Conservative Party website. Carney would be Trudeau 2.0.
Excellent this is EXACTLY the kinds easy to listen to informative messages Canadians need to hear !!!!
I LIVE all your informative messages because they are educational.
One thing you MUST REMEMBER !!!!!!!!
These messages must continue when you win , perhaps weekly , to keep Canadians informed
Thanks again for being the Leader Canadians desperately need !
What a novel and provocative video! It gives all of us a lot to think about!
One reason the USA is so successful is that they’ve eliminated state to state trade barriers!
I have been thinking about this for fifty years. This is why I call Canada a soft communist country.
See www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-internal-free-trade-barriers-1.7439757 .
@@karenjobagy5822 What you call 'communism' is actually socialism. As long as there's social class in a country, it cannot be communist.
You know your 'Canada very well, M. Poilièvre, and I appreciate that. Let us vote now; the sooner the better. I want the changes to begin immediately, especially the closing of our borders; no more illegal coming in, and the removal of all those that are already here illegally out of Canada. This also applies to legal migrants who support illegal immigrants who harm us in any way.

👊😎👍
Inter-provincial trade barriers must be REMOVED. That's the emergency action to be taken as a response to Trump's tariffs, NOT counter tariffs that only increase consumer prices.
Tell that to Quebec, they veto ANYTHING that will benefit English speaking provinces. They care more about language than economic benefit.
@@UnsaltedCashew38 very true
This video shows how effective Pierre is as a communicator when he remains focused on the message and less on rhetorics.
He’s reading a script 😂
. That's fine. At least he has a vision to solve the tariff problems with the USA instead of bullying back the US with counter tariffs.
@@johnnymaccool9828 and Trudeau doesn't????? Get real.....
PMs from every party have proposed eliminating internal trade barriers, provinces have always balked.
Are Conservatives really saying that they would like Trudeau to impose his will on Alberta and remove all provincial tariffs? Cuz, that would be fun.
@ Pierre is big improvement over Turdeau , but he’s still a little stupid , Pierre needs to buddy up with Trump to get Canada going in the right direction before it becomes a third world country.
This is the sort of clear, common-sense messaging that drives the socialists bonkers. Great work, Pierre!
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that he will host a First Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) in the fall.
At the FMM, First Ministers will discuss ways to build on Canada’s economic growth through diversifying international trade and improving trade within our borders.
The Prime Minister will lead discussions on how to eliminate barriers to trade between provinces and territories, and work toward a stronger, more interconnected Canadian economy that is free from unnecessary barriers and restrictions imposed by provinces and territories.

This will also shock you. Our Constitution clearly states that we must have free movement of goods between provinces but somehow our Supreme Court ruled against that!

We need to remove many more barriers and make Canada the most attractive place in the world to invest and do business in. Lower taxes, remove draconian regulatory barriers and get projects approved immediately. Get rid of the capital gains tax completely.
