I was 13 when this show came to Piere's. My parents were at this show and my dad got his autograph on his Blues Deluxe CD. My dad also handed his phone to Joe so he could say Hi to 13 year old me...I'll never forget that.
I love Joe been a fan like everyone else for a long time but him in this time of this performance compared to today is so different not in a bad way just it seems like he was so more enjoying himself.
I agree. I saw Joe live in 2010 but I still come back to his live videos from the mid 2000's when I want to listen to him. More raw and powerful as a 3 piece band.
Folks, I'm telling you, it doesn't get any better than Joe Bonamassa when it comes to the blues. He has the voice for it, as well as the hottest licks on the scene to vibe with it. The boy has style and class too. He is the perfect example to prove to the world that you don't have to have a body filthied with vile tatoos, and 16 earrings in each ear, and a background of being a heroin addict to feel and play the blues. His humbleness too with such great talent elevates his greatness.
I would love to say that I was in the crowd or front row of this absolute beautiful performance by Joe I can say this was the first song I had ever heard him play and I was hook ever since.
Grazie Joe
I want to thank my friend, Hunter, for introducing me to Joe while in college. In fact, it was this very specific video he used back in the fall of 2008, during my junior year. I'm glad its still up and getting fairly recent views!!!
Absolutely the best I can listen to it countless times and never get tired of it...shit if I had a nickel for ever time I played this song over the past 10 years I probably have to take the heartache out the song. 😃
I miss the strat + silver jubilee era so bad. His playing now is just as amazing ofc, but he just cant replicate these sounds with his gear of the past decade. Truly amazing!
this is just pure blues!!! the man can tear apart any genre but the blues he plays has a lot of passion! top draw, my favorite artist for a long time!!!!
My man Joe B....You rock brother...Saw you in Boston last year....I wanted so to hear this tune,,I guess you play them all..Best version here Joe!!!!Peace,Piero
I wish you could see me All broken down this way But even if you saw me, baby I know I still couldn't make you stay Couldn't make you stay You know about the high cost of loving, baby But someday, someday You're gonna have to pay Gonna have to pay Oh, a woman like you needs fine things And I knew it from the start And I don't have much to offer Just this old broken heart, hey baby Just this old broken heart But if heartaches were nickels I would not, I wouldn't be here crying in the dark Yes, if wine and pills were hundred dollar bills I might keep you satisfied And if broken dreams were limousines I might take you for a ride And all I can do is think of you And wish you were here by my side Yes, if heartaches were nickels I'd be the richest fool alive If wine and pills were hundred dollar bills I might keep you satisfied If broken dreams were limousines I might take you for a ride But all I can do is think of you And wish you were here by my side Oh, if heartaches were nickels I'd be the richest fool alive I'd be the richest fool alive
I love Joe but I think his voice right here is better than it is now not saying.he can't sing good or bad it's just he seems more comfortable and this song totally kicks ass and so does Joe ❤️

This is the one. Of all the versions, this is the one.
Best one indeed! I think it is the spirit of the Strat. don't care as much for the LP versions
no cellphones in people's hands. everybody is listening and living the moment and great feedback from the audience... ah, the good old days :)
no cellphones and bier bottles ! ha the good old days !
I love Joe been a fan like everyone else for a long time but him in this time of this performance compared to today is so different not in a bad way just it seems like he was so more enjoying himself.
All these years later, this is the best live performance I’ve seen of Joes. Great playing!
And his voice is so strong and sexy 😍
And his tone was outrageous as good as anything I’ve heard even with the Les Paul’s these days it’s in his hands.

💙🎸🎤🎶❤️💯

Tell me which bluesmen have tattoos, earrings, and are smack addicts???
@@3rdtonefromthesun he means generally in rock attitude...
I wish he would go back to that setup with the Clapton strat and the Jubilee, sounds absolutely killer!
I would love to say that I was in the crowd or front row of this absolute beautiful performance by Joe I can say this was the first song I had ever heard him play and I was hook ever since.
A great version, I think my fav now! So raw and simply hard driving blues, no artificial colors or flavors, 😂❤❤
Every single time a known Les Paul player plays a strat it’s so good, maybe even better
He was a Strat player before the Les Pauls
I was there at this show. Joe really rocked back then!
you so lucky bro wish I could've said that.😀
Love blues,super,blues 🙏❤️🍀🎶🎼🎵👌✌️🎸🎤🥁
Unbelievable and now just as unbelievable !!!
My favorite Bonamassa performance showing his raw talent. Awesome.

Joe tjis song i love. You are doing it better this year but i really love❤😊 u and all your music.
I miss the strat + silver jubilee era so bad. His playing now is just as amazing ofc, but he just cant replicate these sounds with his gear of the past decade. Truly amazing!
Twenty years later and he still has not surpassesd this performance
I still dig Leslie Wests version more. But I admit Joe is on fire here.
Joe plays the hell out of this song 💯❌💯❤️🎸🎶😎
Joe keep the Blus still alive and he is one of the best Blues player in the younger generation. God bless you Joe!
Fantastic version of this song! And I think this is his best band. Outstanding!

Outstanding in every way

They love you Joe. Such a good song coming from you tho
The best!
Gänsehaut pur!!
Fucking Awesome 😎 love this song and Joe here I think he was more himself and focused.
Yes it's an EC Stratocaster
Q músico x favor, aguante Joe
I want THIS JOE TO COME BACK! HOLY FUCK! 💓
Not happening. This is “youth gone wild”
Warren Haynes wrote this for Bonamassa.. Haynes is on YTube, covering it... he's more bluesy and has a richer vocal range. They also duet it.
I was there!
Love JoeBonamassa, really digging that dancer on the right😋
I've always wondered why Mule never played this song ... Such a brilliant song by Warren. If they have, please correct me.
joe is the best
The current best, imho!
yes it is the best version.....
🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
Ohhh my!!
Really who are those 7 tasteless people ?? 🙄😳💙💙💙🎸🎶
Big Stevie Ray influence in his riffs.....
awesome
Those active pickups man!
Lace sensors, not active
Yep Gabriel is right. Its the EC sig strat with lace sensors and a completely dimed Marshall Silver Jubilee
I wish you could see me
All broken down this way
But even if you saw me, baby
I know I still couldn't make you stay
Couldn't make you stay
You know about the high cost of loving, baby
But someday, someday
You're gonna have to pay
Gonna have to pay
Oh, a woman like you needs fine things
And I knew it from the start
And I don't have much to offer
Just this old broken heart, hey baby
Just this old broken heart
But if heartaches were nickels
I would not, I wouldn't be here crying in the dark
Yes, if wine and pills were hundred dollar bills
I might keep you satisfied
And if broken dreams were limousines
I might take you for a ride
And all I can do is think of you
And wish you were here by my side
Yes, if heartaches were nickels
I'd be the richest fool alive
If wine and pills were hundred dollar bills
I might keep you satisfied
If broken dreams were limousines
I might take you for a ride
But all I can do is think of you
And wish you were here by my side
Oh, if heartaches were nickels
I'd be the richest fool alive
I'd be the richest fool alive
j'aime !
You have aged like fine wine. So drinkable❤❤❤❤
...if heartaches were nickels...i would throw all my money...do you think i could relief my pain this way?...(thanks Vely).
I stopped by for the dancers
I love Joe but I think his voice right here is better than it is now not saying.he can't sing good or bad it's just he seems more comfortable and this song totally kicks ass and so does Joe ❤️
🔥
Warren Haynes song.
Wow... amazed I didn't know. But it makes sense.
Did he do the song for the dancer on the right-hand side ?
Heartache nickel
are those emg's?
is that a Clapton strat?
d. lambert Yes that’s “ Blackie” Clapton let him play it
Blackie have 21 frets this one have 22 frets.
d. lambert
Imo Joe is a far better guitarist than Eric. So underrated.
Its a stock (of that era) signature Clapton strat with lace sensor pickups
Ain't that the truth? for some?
He should have never left Fender Strats ! His sound is way better with a strat. But Gibson does give him tons of money to play a Les Paul.
Please check out Fearless JoPaddy. thanks
Can anyone say; Since I've Been Loving You, by Led Zeppelin
Similar,but not the same progression
I just got pregnant. With this, alone. Fuck! 🙌🔥💓
Inspired Bruno Mars to 'when I was your man'
Haynes of Gov't Mule
