- Stevie hosts with his favourite guests Kenny and Shona for your weekend podcast.
We discuss today's Ibrox delays announcement, Connor Barron arrival announced and is Hamza Igamane on the way to Rangers?
As a Celtic fan you the fans deserve to be kept informed
55 INCOMING, better get the helmets out lads the place is crumbling, btw whoever the contractor is I hope they know about their previous. HH
He's saying I'm not saying, then proceeds to say he's angry and it's amateur hour 😂😂.
Make your mind up Kenny, your concerned Celtic fans rip us apart.
Been doing it for 12 years
Mate, I couldn't care less if they rip me apart on twitter or not. As for the "make your mind up" comment... it does look like amateur hour, doesn't mean it is, does it? If I knew exactly what was going on, I'd be more decisive, but I'm not going to rip into anyone without the full set of facts at hand.
At this point, we're needing a new board. We're not a professionally run club with the current muppets in charge
Shambles, end of
The obvious issue is why not have the materials here stored somwhere ready to go, given the short window when the work could be completed. Maybe it was cost, saving upfront costs and relying on the 'just in time' approach. If so, it backfired spectacularly and will cost more in the long run.
Relying on shipments from Asia seems foolhardy in such turbulent times.
TBH that's where your contractor comes in. I doubt anyone at the club knows anything about building anything, so you hire guys that do. In this scenario, it seems they have severely screwed up. Like the guy getting sacked for it, it won't be the club that sacked him, it will be for whoever he is employed by as this looks really bad on them and could cost them a ton of money down the road.
If this was approved in 2022/23, all steel should have been in country before 2024, if not, then there has been another total cluster F and original plans changed last minute !!
@@markrichards2655 You would think so, it's not as if the plans for this have been thrown together a few months ago and stated. Would say this is why the contractor Project Manager got the sack.
It's a weird 1 where on 1 hand it's not the club's fault as they have employed contractors and I would say they have put forward a plan that had the stadium ready on time, but on the other hand, they chose this contractor. If the club hasn't put forward a penalty for non-completion of the promised date, then a head needs to roll at the club as this is a basic contract agreement. Years ago a company I worked for got regular contracts from hotels that were being built or renovated, and every contract had in it that if a room could not be rented out on the day after the agreed completion, my company would have to pay the cost of renting that room and every day until it was finished.
As Kenny and shona said it's an absolute embarrassment, time and time again these clowns in the board room Fk everything they touch or pledge to do. Even our recruitment practices before koppen, they like a player they speak to club how much for this player say £2m we'd offer £800k then £1m then 1.4m 3weeks later. Another team comes in offers the asking Price and we lose out on the player everything is an issue now. TIME FOR BENNETT TO START TALKING TO US OR I FEAR THINGS ARE GOING TO GET UGLY.
@@sobo5476Rangers, our chairman, has sacked one of our executives over this. Nothing to do with the contractors & this is over his decision to push this build through. That’s why there is criticism.
The irony of John Bennett sacking someone for that person not being transparent with him shouldn’t be lost on everyone.
Dont hold your breath waiting on a statement from Bennet. The board is an absolute shambles we need change as ive no confidence in them
If the contractor has promised a deadline and aren't going to meet it - there should be something in place.
Not heard British steel man 😮😢😅😅
Is Conway not a better option at 500k ?
Defo lad , and would love to have ma name on the shirt tae 💙🇬🇧👍
I'm not happy with giving the sfa any money
Beggars can’t be choosers
SOS to M.I.M. 😏
Morelos never seemed to appreciate the fans, I just couldn’t take to him sorry. I never liked his attitude
Amazing how folk rewrite history 😂
Before negri was bought more like
good show guys thanks as always to Kenny and the combo of S&S
Availability and lead times of all materials should have been addressed long before dates were put in place to do the works. Couldn’t agree more with what Shona said. It’s turned into an absolute shit show I’m afraid.
Hopefully the Barron signing means that waster raskin gets moved on
The lack of coherent boardroom leadership has been an issue for years now. Chairmen, who prefer to be seen but not heard are causing real friction with our fan base and it cannot continue. Be seen, be heard, tell the lifeblood of this club WTF is going on, it's not difficult!! 🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧
Great points Bill. I also don't trust the likes of Nick Thomson/media/PR team to be able to tell truth to the board arounds comms. They all come across as incredibly weak. Communication has been abysmal
Personally I don't understand why you don't all just do what you do what you did regarding what actually happened to the incorporated Rangers FC in 2012, namely completely deny then warp the reality that everyone else lives in. I mean, if you can pretend that 'Say No to Liquidation Day' didn't happen - please remind me, was the point of that day to show your insistence that you wanted your club to keep a £134 million debt so you can continue signing bottle merchants like Moanelos, Coalson, Barashit or Tavpenier, or to keep your club and history intact as per the placards? - or 'Alas'tair Johnston's "murder of an institution", the front page headlines on all the UK newspapers, the many, many thousands of hours of radio coverage, the TV news coverage and dedicated news specials on TV, Richard "Lock them up and throw away the key.
The club I gave blood, sweat and tears for is dead. Whose fault is it? I don't care. All I care about is the people who brought Rangers to their knees are punished.
Tax evasion is a crime, everyone knows that." Gough, Jim “Some Rangers fans believe the club’s history, which would end with liquidation, must be protected but there is a shameful part of that history which they should want to forget and any newco should make it clear a new beginning means exactly that. A new club open to all from the very beginning. They’ll slip into liquidation within the next couple of weeks with a new company emerging but 140 years of history, triumph and tears, will have ended. No matter how Charles Green attempts to dress it up, a newco equals a new club. When the CVA was thrown out Rangers, as we know them died. They were closed and a newco must start from scratch." Traynor, Stuart "Without Rangers the league would be knackered. I know a lot of supporters are saying they should be liquidated and come back as a new club in division three.” McCall, Kevin “…the reality is that in technical terms, the doors are closed on the history of Rangers…There will be plenty of pedants who feel the old Rangers are now gone, and technically they are right.” Drinkell, Walter "We wish the new Rangers Football Club every good fortune” EBT Smith, Steven "The uncertainty surrounding the new club, especially in terms of what league they’re going to play in, has been a major factor in my decision (to leave) …I have concerns about who is in charge of the new club…Will I ever come back and support the new club? I haven’t thought about it.” Naismith, Lord "Rangers ceased to be a club" Nimmo Smith, that the Articles of Association of the SFA and UEFA did actually apply to Rangers FC (1872-2012), that David Murray would have chosen not to close a mere holding company/engine subsidiary/corporate shell instead of paying down the £87 million debt of the early '90s if he thought you would be pathetic enough to swallow this fantasy, or the findings of the Supreme Court Law Lords...... THEN WHY NOT JUST DO LIKEWISE, WARP REALITY, PRETEND YOU HAVE A SHINY 150,000 CAPACITY STADIUM ALL FINISHED AND READY FOR ANOTHER 'NEXT SEASON' TITLE TO PLACE NEXT TO THE PETROL TANK TRAINING CUP? MAYBE PUT A BIG STAR ATOP THE COPLAND STAND TO REPRESENT THE EUROPEAN CUP THAT YOU STAUNCHLY WON AS THE FIRST NON-LATINO CLUB TO DO SO.
It is just so peculiar that you choose to ignore the reality of what you witnessed in 2012, accept a convenient lie that you support the only football club bestowed with everlasting life over the painful truth that you don't, yet not choose to mentally adjust the latest Ibrokes procurement and leadership disaster into a truly outstanding engineering achievement by world football's 'best in class' boardroom.
Here's a great refresher for those willing to embrace maturity, pride and self-respect - three characteristics that would have ensured that the nefarious character that is Charles Green wouldn't have been able to stroll into the In-The-Red Room with the Bhoys from Zeus, Mike Cashley, and a collective of 'interesting' 'businessmen' (Interpol anyone?), who set their new club up to be football's version of a used scuddy magazine where they would take what they want from it then pass it on to their mates, you lot thinking a new dawn had arrived when in fact it was all just smoke and mirrors to fool the most gullible fans in football. How much money has went out the back doors of Ibrokes since 2012? How much money has been redirected from schools, hospitals and Armed Forces in the form of compensation for the swindlers who gave you the Emperor's New Club? £60 million so far, to add to the £75 million that was lost to the treasury when the incorporated Rangers FC joined Airdrie FC (oh, the irony David!), Third Lanark FC and Gretna FC in the Scottish Underworld League. Another hundred million+ has been lost since 2012. And all for a single gifted, life-sustaining Covid Title courtesy of Dermot Desmond, a single Scottish Cup and a single League Cup. Three major trophies in the cabinet as we begin season 2024-2025, something Celtic did in the 2016/17 season then did it a further three consecutive years. With way north of £100 million lost to creditors - including £7.7 million from the mentalists who bought a seat plaque and the right to buy a season ticket from the impresario from Ayr - of the real Rangers FC, way north of £100 million spunked by the new club, and Celtic going for 55 and on the verge of rewriting trophy records across the board, I ask all of you.... WAS THE ILLEGAL THEFT OF HELICOPTER SUNDAY AND FOUR OTHER LEAGUE TITLES PLUS NINE STOLEN CUPS AND TENS OF MILLIONS OF EUROPEAN QUALIFICATION MONIES REALLY WORTH DESTROYING THE LEGACY OF GOUGH AND THOSE PLAYERS WHO PLAYED WITHIN THE RULES OF THE GAME AND THE CESSATION OF A FOOTBALL CLUB THAT HAD PAID ITS DUE TAXES TO THE ROYAL FAMILY FOR ALL THE DECADES BEFORE?
The EBT era was a truly pyrhic victory, breaking the connection of families and fans going back generations, and opening current and future fans of The Rangers FC (2012-) to being mocked by fans of football fans in Scotland and beyond whenever they laughingly attempt to claim everlasting life despite TH-cam, television and newspaper archives being readily available for perusal. Death and taxes.....it really wasn't difficult. Field who you can afford to field after the taxes have been paid.
It will be a long time until you can watch a game from Ibrokes Stadium. With many months to pass before your latest horrific club accounts get released, here is a nice time-filler for you - it will help shorten the long trips to (David)Murrayfield .....

The whole board should walk Bennett out now they have made the club a laughing stock and totally shafted the fans and that stand won't be ready for months absolutely embarrassing and are they paying the fans for the inconvenience not a chance we have been taken for mugs for years get them out
Stop comparing this lad to Morelos. He's nothing like him outside his physicality. He's far more adaptable and plays in from the flanks even as a 9. He doesn't hold the ball like Morelos does, he drives forward far more instinctively.
Project managing major construction work sounds like a job I would be abysmal at. However, even this muppet knows about the iron triangle of good/fast/cheap - pick two. Seems pretty obvious that dependence on just-in-time logistics from global supply chains would be cheaper, but was always going to be high-risk for failure and delay. Whoever signed that decision off does deserve to lose their position. Regardless of insurance and the final financial impact of this, it's the impact on the team that can't be mitigated and is unforgivable.
from a celtic guy,,,these guy spoke lots of sense...
Morelos would have been lucky to make our bench on days gone by ,let’s hope he’s a level above
Don't need to wind you rangers2012 fans up the IPROX BOARD do that is clemente not an orange4 clown
WTF, you do know steel works can have problems ffs. It's not always smooth running, it is an engineering problem.
Everything you said is absolutely spot on Shona
On the contractor issue, surely all the construction equipment had to be ready on site or at least in the country so it could be accessed when needed. These are school boy errors and heads had to roll, also th bad PR Rangers are getting is absolutely embarrassing
The contractor was only appointed quite late in the day I think and that must have contributed to this. I certainly won’t be traveling to murrayfield midweek for games.
Referees wasted Alfie. Don’t let same happen again!
Sorry but utter BS The day
You are digging the club up ffs, just own yer voice. Greetin for teary eyed sake.
who you moaning at? lol
I have, and I'm sure every one else, hasn't a clue what you are speaking about.
@@sobo5476 sorry, being smart is a curse.
@@thetryingscotsman4065 No being smart is good, it's the total lack of self-awareness that is cursing you.
@@BILLYRFCNO1 I'm not even sure if he is moaning, his ramble makes little sense.
The beautiful Shona ❤ I'm a Celtic fan but, I watch for the Shona xx
