@everydaymistics8082 have you taken any trips in your new RV? Anything you'd change? How is the upper deck, specifically the bedroom? The "step of doom" is a concern for us... we are tall and the bedroom seems cramped.
Well, that's a good idea, but my first thought wuz to put my outdoor sink under that space and have the whole *kitchen* setup right there! And, if anyone else watches Finding Our Someday, you prolly know that this specific layout is their idea, and I'm thrilled to see Grand Design producing it now! And as a 5th wheel - We might even consider it for our future travels!
Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper 😜😂😂. Great couples floor plan. Love all the camp side windows. Lighter cabinetry is more to my preference, particularly in smaller units. Has a bit of a Winnebago vibe to the decor. The triple recliner is awesome. Definitely agree on the 3/4 ton tow vehicle, particularly if you want to go anywhere near the mountains. Into the top tier with the rear dinette floor plans.
I like it! I would prefer that the little countertop section to the right of the sink were the same height as the rest. There’s so much kitchen space that they could actually get rid of the kitchen counter/cabinet section right next to the door and replace it with a bar or desk overlooking the camp side 🎉
Ooh, I really like this one. Being out west, getting under 30’ is important for having more places to go. Being able to use the entire rig with the slide closed is also a major plus. And am I the only one who looked at that roof and saw all of the panel potential? Oh, and as I get older, auto level is now a must. I’m looking at you Northwood.
@TheKevin, my apologies. I don’t get noticed when folks reply. Panel potential = more solar panels. A lot of state and federal parks out here are small. In some California State Parks, if you’re over 25ft, you’re not getting in to camp.
Seems like one I would definitely consider when my wife and I are empty nester's. Seeing how our first daughter is 18 months old.... It might be awhile lol. Thanks for Sharing Josh.
Here’s an idea - replace the outside mini fridge with a trash can, and make it accessible from the inside and outside. Then you don’t have to walk inside to throw stuff away, and you can empty your trash from outside too!
Excellent idea! How about having a cabinet door to provide access from the kitchen as well? Flex space so the owner can use however they like. Trash can, 12 volt Cooler, or extra storage.
Pretty much the perfect floorplan for me. I love the nook idea. I want a comfortable place to eat but don't want it to use up too much space. I was never sold on using a free standing table at a couch or just having a bar-top to eat. This is the perfect compromise. Wish this came in a TT, I prefer to keep my truck bed storage.
We love our 2021 260RD but wish this was available in 2021. The only issue we have with our 260 is the lack of access to the bedroom/bathroom when traveling. We use Harvest host and sometimes there's not enough level parking or space to open the slide and we sleep in the couch recliners. This 270 will be great for long travels.
Not a bad layout for sure. Might be one to consider as we are looking at the 260rd. As someone who trims house, installs cabinets and all that jazz for a living, the 2 - 2 1/2”gap on the left side of the microwave looks like a mistake. Cabinet should fit tight on both sides. That would bug me. They need to make hat cabinet above the microwave 30” and then make that cabinet to the left bigger to make up the extra space.
I like this floor plan and that dining table is a perfect craft table! Now if they can only push the innovation into a single-person 5th wheel 25' or less for a 1/2 ton short bed with zero slides, I'm ready.
Love the size but would love to see a televator for the tv so they could put a bigger window on that wall. Also would like to see the stove and sink swapped places and add a big window over sink with upper cabinets on both sides of window. I’d rather do dishes and look out at my camp view not the rear view. Currently have the Reflection RL295, love all the windows we have but would like something smaller and have not seen a smaller 5th wheel that has the windows on the camp side like ours.
1. How about a TV televator. 2. Why does the counter drop down to the right of the sink? Bad idea. What is this supposed to do for me? 3. Free floating table please. 4. Yes, use a real fan in the bathroom. 5. It'd be nice if some company could design and test for slide furniture to be usable when slides are in.
Love what they did with this model! 👏🏻 it’s great to see brands reworking the “dining” areas. YAY for real travel access! Been looking at 5th wheels of this size/similar layout and it seems like most get a D- for travel access. Love all the kitchen space in this. Also love that the bathroom cabinet is not a head bumper! I wash my face in the bathroom sink at least once a day and not getting a daily concussion from that would be nice 😁 Thanks Josh!
My 2 cents, lose the tootsie toaster and put the TV in a pop up from below. That would add cabinet space above while only losing a little below. Solve the neck wrecker issue. And eliminate a useless gimmick.
GD nailed this floor plan. GD needs to relocate the electrical outlet on both sides of the bedroom headboard down to just under the nightstand lights. We both have a USB fan, USB watch charger and a USB iPhone charger, this 3 cables wrapping around your head while you sleep. Please tell GD to move these outlets down under the nightstand lights where all your devices will be anyway. All trailers should come with extra solar to power a 2000watt inverter so your 110v outlets are hot to watch tv.
Steps ... I know it limits the floorplans, but I love my "exterior" roll up/under steps (the "old" style) on my 2019 2600RB. And I have little Lippert "feet" that make contact with the ground so we don't have the traditional bounce. I don't have to worry about how level the site is (I've seen others have to reposition the trailer as they couldn't fully deploy the steps). Also ... I can quickly drop things in the trailer (just on the floor) without having to pull stairs down. If I had longer legs I could probably hop into the trailer for a quick in/out ... but alas, that is not the case!
Really like the layout. The corner dinette with that clipped corner looks awkward. Since it isn't a sleeper I would have preferred an oval or round table with a radius cushion in the corner. Primo spot for one, great for two, cozy for 3 and possibly 4 with a side chair.
My favorite thing about many Grand Design rigs is the way they do that counter extension under the tv that gives you extra kitchen work space when/if you need it, but converts back to "living room" space when you don't. The idea of making features convertible or multi-purpose in order to maximize functionality in the small spaces of RVs seems to be neglected by most manufacturers. After seeing the same awkward, tired floorplans over and over I wonder why there haven't been more sensible innovations. Grand Design offers a refreshing exception, and seems to be among the best at making good use of available space even in smaller units. Mini kitchens may be fine for people who don't like to cook, but even making a sandwich or washing out a few cereal bowls just seems like it would be a more cramped and fussy task with so little working space, and frankly if I'm going to be towing around a trailer any larger than a teardrop, I expect to have at least some working counter space. The corner dinette is a great idea, because after inadequate work space and storage in a kitchen, the thing I hate most is the "neck wrecker" layout. This solves that problem while still allowing for a dedicated dinette that can also convert to additional lounge space if wanted, then convert back to dining for a couple and their guests. Your tip about adding dining chairs is right on point. There are good folding dining chair options available that would work perfectly here and then stow when not needed. An improvement I'd like to see is making the dinette seating a tad more comfy or "couch-like," what you'd call a "dinofa," so that it truly could serve for both lounge and dining. A lagoon table that can easily remove to make that area into couch/lounge seating, or allow for the use of a larger freestanding table to accommodate more guests would also level up this dining solution into a more truly multi-purpose area. Appreciate the counter space and decent storage in the bathroom, and the ample headroom. I like the bedroom but would prefer to see the area around the bed covered in something other than carpet, and would like to see a small utility drawer at each bedside in addition to the bottom cabinet. Having a small drawer to throw little things like lip balm, ear buds, glasses, etc., is really helpful at the bedside and something I miss when it isn't there. Oh, and I'd wish for an option to delete the outside kitchen and have that storage space for the inside kitchen instead. You could mod this yourself along with the other stuff I list, but it would be nice to not have to buy features you don't want / have to change yourself. Still, a great rig with lots of potential for dialing in given a little dyi, and definitely one I'd consider.
Late to the party with this one, but this is a great size and layout. I love the breakfast nook idea, plenty of seating - you could easily add a folding chair/s. My only suggestion would be a retractable tv that comes up from behind the fireplace. If you’re watching tv you’re probably not going to be looking out the window.
Either move the TV down or put a mount that allows you to tilt it down. I might actually prefer a hideabed sofa just in case we have a guest. Those theater seats just really aren't that comfortable. Just look when you kick back and recline. Your ankles and feet hang off the end. I understand that manufacturers are trying to stay under the 10k pound threshold, but adding a bedroom slide wouldn't add that much weight when you consider that you're going to need a 3/4 ton either way. Any HD truck that can handle 10k can handle 10.5k. I like the bedroom, but one extra foot would give you so much more room to move around and get dressed. The side-stand setup is perfect. The step down can certainly be an issue when I'm 3/4 asleep.
very nice unit. Clearly a size that is very towable and capable of being put into state/provincial park type sites with relative ease. Great review...thanks
There are button guards on Etsy for those theater seats. Same buttons in our 22RBE. Those button guards definitely help prevent accidentally hitting any of the buttons. Would like to see the entry steps be the 4-step instead of 3-step (looks like you would need a small step stool to get up to the first step).
Is there some kind of bracket that could be fitted to let the TV swing or slide down if someone were really bothered by the having it up that high? Not really bothered too much by that myself though.
I am in love with that kitchen! You can't beat the amt of counter space. The dropped counter next to the sink is odd, but would make a good home for the coffee pot. The nook is cute, and handier that those little couches that always look awkward to me. I would prefer a free standing table though. I don't care for the side table on the bed. It's attractive and all, but I'd rather leave the whole thing open than it be cut like it is.
I have been dreaming of my own RV since as a kid I realized they were forts for adults - but I got to stay in one at my sister-in-laws where it was being used as a guest house and I actually needed a step stool to get in and out of the bed (vertically challenged) it made me rethink the ankle breaker death step in the bedroom as a possible feature I may enjoy ... my one wish to customize it to my tastes is could I trade some overhead cabinets in the kitchen over the sink for a bigger window to let my view in (especially while i do dishes).
Line from the movie Tombstone… When the world doesn’t fit, friend, make adjustments. I also like the steps around the beds. Makes it easier for our camping kitty to get up onto the bed 😻.
I love this layout. Kitchen color not so much. All that tan kinda boring. I would like to see contrast or wood cabinets. Lights under microwave needs to work on 12 volt, all lights.
Minor complaints, the TV is too small for the distance from the viewer. The cabinet to the left of it is rather useless. If you're going to do that it needs to be see through in one way or another for a game station or other devices. The bedroom needs to be bigger. The dinner table is actually awesome, I'd want to replace most but this one could stay. I would toss the outdoor cooking in favor of more storage. Most campsites have outdoor grills and let's be honest no one wants to cook outside more than they want storage. The last thing I'd say about this RV is what you said about pulling the slide in. If they haven't tested it for sitting on the couch while the slide is in and you can possibly break it then that's just lazy. This floorplan begs one to parking lot overnight with a a generator so to overlook that and just be like oh well we don't build it for that even though it's perfectly laid out for it is just not acceptable at current price points.
LOVE IT. My only tiny quirk is that I think a little free-standing table would be more convenient. It's not a deal breaker, it's just my 2-cents. 99.9% perfection.
I have a 200 mk with free standing table. It heave and a pain to setup. ib went onn amazoea bought a small aluminium table which is better, but it still nice to have it setup when i t built in. No tear down and setup
I love this floor plan and had been stalking it on line for months. Was super excited to see it at the National Rally last month. Got my husband to check it out and discovered 2 things. The trim piece on the slide side of the dinette that holds the table up sticks out and is SHARP! Husband got a huge gash across his calf when he slid into the dinette. They really need to cap that somehow. And the dinette on the bathroom side is pretty tight..it has to be that way so the slide can come in, but table is super close to the seat. Between those two things it was pretty much a deal breaker for my husband. Then we checked out the 310GK..have you done a video on that one? Husband loved it (and of course so did I!)but we’d have to buy another truck..😂😂😂😂
LOVE THIS ONE.... If I get a new one this will be the one! My only thing would be to make it a stand alone table. I love all the windows. Yes they need to make that over the toilet cabinet smaller or take it out.
Does GD post anything about their temperature performance? I know they have always pushed their 'R' ratings, but have never heard them stand by any temperature numbers.
They didn't used to but they have started doing that. I think it's on their website now. They have a picture of the RV with temp ratings in different zones last I knew Something that helps them with their cold camp ratings are their larger furnaces. If you compare GD to most other things that exist in this class (especially originally), then you see GD has a 5-10k larger furnace than most. It'll heat the unit but gobble that propane But I mean.. what RV furnace doesnt?
Great new design. I'd prefer it flipped and the seating and larger windows on the campsite. This is very nice though. I'm glad that they still kept the windows, even with the flip.
I’d like to see a cushion supplied for the table so someone could lounge there more comfortably. I know it would add to cost but I’d be willing to pay the little extra it would cost.
They are actually a 5" cushion, which is much more comfortable than the standard 3" typically used in a booth application. One good solution for getting even more is to place a closed-cell foam under the cushion to make it even more plush if desired.
I love this layout! Finally, not a U dinette as the only seating/lounging option in a 'small' camper trailer. The only thing I'd like is generator prep. I could see putting my own in the very front storage.
I only saw a couple of things I would change, like you've said before, there is no perfect camper for everyone. I totally agree. But I will say this, when I compare this to our 2800BH that we love, that is the best overall couples camper that I've seen so far. I absolutely love it!! Great video sir as always!
I think that 24rk was retired for the new 23ML which he like a cougar 23MLE which is similar to this It’s largely personal preference. They’re built and equipped more similarly than differently really Avenue has a wide body which is nice
Grand Design has become an absolute disaster! So many units look great, but never fail to have extensive issues that they nor the dealers are willing to remedy! Never GD.
Not really Impressed... Do like the no carpet thing and no furnace in the floor... Thinned walled cheap unit... If you really look, they built it the easiest way for THEM.... Less materials etc. More bundling of wiring... etc.
I really like the overall design. I have a few personal quirks that I noticed. I don’t like the entertainment area not being symmetrical. I am also kind of miffed about the gap on the left of the microwave. I agree with other viewer’s comments about an option to remove the outside kitchen for additional storage.
Three things I wish they would change. First, make that little drawer section counter top the same height as the rest of the counter. Second, install a large rain sensor vent fan with cover in the bathroom to match the kitchen vent fan. Third, install a 2000 watt button victron inverter with inverter receptacles in the rv so we can add more solar and run the 120 appliances & ac with soft start. Then it would be perfect. This would compete with Cougar & Rockwood.
Love the corner dinette - so much more practical. Like the wide 3 seat recliners with drop down in the middle. Great kitchen. Does this exact floor plan come in a non-5th wheel? Since my dad has fallen many times on the bedroom steps, I'm no longer a fan of 5rh wheels. Agree with you on the ankle biting step up floor under the bed.
I discovered that step was due to the fact they have the pivoting pin box. It requires the extra upper deck structure that they using, which force is the mini step.
Saw this video on Tuesday. Bought the rv on Saturday! Can hardly wait to take our first trip!
Hope it treats you well! Mind dropping me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review if my video was helpful to you?
@everydaymistics8082 have you taken any trips in your new RV? Anything you'd change? How is the upper deck, specifically the bedroom? The "step of doom" is a concern for us... we are tall and the bedroom seems cramped.
This one is sweet only obvious miss was the door on the outside fridge going up instead of making a drink table by opening down like a draw bridge
Oooh I like that
Excellent idea 💡
Well, that's a good idea, but my first thought wuz to put my outdoor sink under that space and have the whole *kitchen* setup right there! And, if anyone else watches Finding Our Someday, you prolly know that this specific layout is their idea, and I'm thrilled to see Grand Design producing it now! Finally! A smaller 5th wheel that I'd consider buying.
😊
Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper 😜😂😂. Great couples floor plan. Love all the camp side windows. Lighter cabinetry is more to my preference, particularly in smaller units. Has a bit of a Winnebago vibe to the decor. The triple recliner is awesome. Definitely agree on the 3/4 ton tow vehicle, particularly if you want to go anywhere near the mountains. Into the top tier with the rear dinette floor plans.
Man I never expected a Diablo sandwich comment to generate so much buzz lol
I know you came out with this video 11 mo. ago I love this design more than any other travel trailer or 5th wheel. THIS is the one I am buying 🎉😊
TY for watching! :)
Thank you for describing the Reflection 150. We are impressed with this Trlr. We believe it's THE one.
Good choice!
I've always had a love for side entry vis rear and that's a great floorplan.
Really nice except for high tv and that bedroom step.
I like it! I would prefer that the little countertop section to the right of the sink were the same height as the rest. There’s so much kitchen space that they could actually get rid of the kitchen counter/cabinet section right next to the door and replace it with a bar or desk overlooking the camp side 🎉
Great idea! Thank you
Ooh, I really like this one. Being out west, getting under 30’ is important for having more places to go. Being able to use the entire rig with the slide closed is also a major plus. I love indoor outdoor trashcan set ups. It is a really good idea.
YES! I totally agree! That would be awesome. 🥰💕🙏👍🏻👍🏻😎

We have a 2018 220 RK grand designs here in New Zealand, it is a greatt couples van and we really enjoy it. I recommend looking at one .
A wardrobe slide in the bedroom would make this absolutely perfect
Love the size but would love to see a televator for the tv so they could put a bigger window on that wall. Also would like to see the stove and sink swapped places and add a big window over sink with upper cabinets on both sides of window. I’d rather do dishes and look out at my camp view not the rear view. Currently have the Reflection RL295, love all the windows we have but would like something smaller and have not seen a smaller 5th wheel that has the windows on the camp side like ours.
Camp side windows are hard to do nicely when the rv gets shorter
I like the floorplan but after watching your Brinkley factory video I'd feel more confident if it was a Brinkley product.
I am making arrangements to visit a GD shop or two for a similar video. Will be curious to see how it compares
Considering that oddly colored baggage door is over the grill, maybe it's a heat resistant coating?
Heat, and grease-proof. 😉
I discovered that’s exactly what it is. Apparently you were smarter than me lol.
Great review. Thanks! It would be nice to have a pull-out desk top on the counter under the TV.
Great idea!
That microwave is an OCD nightmare! Why is it not centered in the space?
Love this!! Would prefer a free standing table for different size guests. 😊
Great idea!
If this had a full bed slide to allow a bigger closet in the bedroom it would be perfect for my husband and me.
Agree!!
Love this one. This may have moved to the top of my list if and when we decide to downsize!
Good choice!
Wow, power recliner and we are buyers. Where shopping right now
They should put a remote control fan in bathroom. Most women are under 5.5 ,can't reach fan
👍🏻
A wish theses guys would start using pop up plugs, we hate having the cords to everything hanging.
Totally fair
I do agree
Love what they did with this model! 👏🏻 it’s great to see brands reworking the “dining” areas.

Understand why it was done, but the electric outlets like that are a pain if one is wearing bifocals. 4 step entry would be nice. 🦅😎🇺🇸
👍🏻
Definitely a great floorplan by Grand Design.... Thanks Nerd👍
You bet!
Is it the angle or is the microwave not centered in its location?
My 2 cents, lose the tootsie toaster and put the TV in a pop up from below. That would add cabinet space above while only losing a little below. Solve the neck wrecker issue. And eliminate a useless gimmick.
Televator could be neat but those heaters are super useful for a lot of people
Looks good, but it has no wardrobe slide. Makes a difference when doing a 3-6 week road trip
For sure. Different RVs for different purposes
Why oh why did the designer drop the counter over the drawers by the pantry?
Hey whats going on with that big gap on one side of the microwave?
GD nailed this floor plan. GD needs to relocate the electrical outlet on both sides of the bedroom headboard down to just under the nightstand lights. I love it everything about it it's just what I want and a bit my half-ton can pull it❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the road mode! Love the storage! Love the shift with dinette and sofa! Love the pantry! Love the video! #rvnerdherd
Thanks so much!!

Yeah, if a floor plan requires stable steps, but I totally get it. Otherwise, I like the idea of those flip down feet that you mentioned.
Love that L-shape table. With two chairs added, it’s perfect for playing games.
Agreed!
Really like the layout. The corner dinette with that clipped corner looks awkward. Since it isn't a sleeper I would have preferred an oval or round table with a radius cushion in the corner. Primo spot for one, great for two, cozy for 3 and possibly 4 with a side chair.

Camp kitchen deletes seem reasonable but typically are not offered
Oh yeah, this just moved to my #1 pick. Thanks nerd!
My pleasure
Put the tv on a telovater then add more cabinets
A couple things to make this one perfect for me would be a king bed option and free floating table. Otherwise checks all my needs. Thanks Josh
👍🏻
Just noticed that the Microwave doesn't completely fill the allotted spot. There's a gap on the left side.
Yep. Allows for larger aftermarket upfits

I like the bedroom, but one extra foot would give you so much more room to move around and get dressed. The side-stand setup is perfect. The step down can certainly be an issue when I'm 3/4 asleep.
I think they were really focusing on under 30ft here. Bed slide would actually add at least 22" surprisingly
I'm not a 5th wheel guy but I would consider this if I was going to get one. But I would want something for overnight adult children yo sleep on
very nice unit. Clearly a size that is very towable and capable of being put into state/provincial park type sites with relative ease. Great review...thanks
It sure is!
There are button guards on Etsy for those theater seats. Same buttons in our 22RBE. Those button guards definitely help prevent accidentally hitting any of the buttons. Would like to see the entry steps be the 4-step instead of 3-step (looks like you would need a small step stool to get up to the first step).
Ty for the Etsy tip
Yeah that's a big first step!
They knocked it out of the park. No rear bumper tho? Even a minor rear end accident could knock it out of commission. Love the couch bit. Funny AH.
Yeah no bumper has become pretty common
Is there some kind of bracket that could be fitted to let the TV swing or slide down if someone were really bothered by the having it up that high? Not really bothered too much by that myself though.
There are. I’d like mfgs to explore them
I am in love with that kitchen!
Great idea!!
@@JoshtheRVNerd I think we both know how important it is to have coffee within easy reach.
A Diablo Sandwich and a Dr. Pepper! Lol!
When you know you know
I have been dreaming of my own RV since as a kid I realized they were forts for adults - but I got to stay in one at my sister-in-laws where it was being used as a guest house and I actually needed a step stool to get in and out of the bed (vertically challenged) it made me rethink the ankle breaker death step in the bedroom as a possible feature I may enjoy ... my one wish to customize it to my tastes is could I trade some overhead cabinets in the kitchen over the sink for a bigger window to let my view in (especially while i do dishes).
Sometimes perspective is a bitter pill but great teacher
Line from the movie Tombstone… When the world doesn’t fit, friend, make adjustments. I also like the steps around the beds. Makes it easier for our camping kitty to get up onto the bed 😻.
Very cool
I love this layout. Kitchen color not so much. All that tan kinda boring. I would like to see contrast or wood cabinets. Lights under microwave needs to work on 12 volt, all lights.
I so love that they didn’t put the sky light in the bathroom. It helps for a little cleaner roof surface. I really like this lay out. Awesome!
I totally agree!
I like your thought-train regarding "perfect overnighting layout" vs gen capability
The tables GD uses are nice when setup but yeah.. they’re a bit of work
👍 GOOD 👍
I love this floor plan and had been stalking it on line for months.
You should see my shins when I am recording a lot. I am always busted and gashed up
LOVE THIS ONE.... If I get a new one this will be the one! My only thing would be to make it a stand alone table. I love all the windows. Yes they need to make that over the toilet cabinet smaller or take it out.
Thx Laura
That is the reason it is Top on my list for the road mode (love the pocket door).
“HOA approved brown” our boy Josh will be at the Comedy Club all week….
Tip your waitress. Try the veal
Love the size, sad about the minimal windows. I want vistas. Probably wouldn't buy this because of the window/vista size.
Fair enough. Ty
Why is there a gap besides the microwave? Seems like a miss to me. A larger awning would be nice.
Overall it's incredible. I love the Floorplan!
"Give me a Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper, and make it quick."
I never expected that comment to generate so many reactions lol
Does GD post anything about their temperature performance? I know they have always pushed their 'R' ratings, but have never heard them stand by any temperature numbers.
They didn't used to but they have started doing that. I think it's on their website now. They have a picture of the RV with temp ratings in different zones last I knew
Something that helps them with their cold camp ratings are their larger furnaces. If you compare GD to most other things that exist in this class (especially originally), then you see GD has a 5-10k larger furnace than most. It'll heat the unit but gobble that propane
But I mean.. what RV furnace doesnt?
@@JoshtheRVNerd I'll go back and see if i missed it. Mucho thnx
Great new design. I'd prefer it flipped and the seating and larger windows on the campsite. This is very nice though. I'm glad that they still kept the windows, even with the flip.
Gimme a Diablo sammich and a Dr. Pepper... and make it quick I'm in a high speed pursuit!
😂
I’d like to see a cushion supplied for the table so someone could lounge there more comfortably. I know it would add to cost but I’d be willing to pay the little extra it would cost.
👌🏻
They are actually a 5" cushion, which is much more comfortable than the standard 3" typically used in a booth application. One good solution for getting even more is to place a closed-cell foam under the cushion to make it even more plush if desired.
I really like this model.
Josh, if this can tow a rigid tandem I can put my motorcycle on, you may have sold me one of these!
I think as long as it stays under 3000 pounds total and 300 pounds tongue weight you’re good
Very cool design! Why does the microwave not fill the cabinet opening? Free floating table would be nice. Thanks again Josh!
Yeah, I noticed that too. 🤔
Would have loved a bigger fridge option. But WOW
again, Get rid of the window, drop that TV down! I just don't understand RV manufacturers that want to put a tiny tv on the ceiling......
I'm with you on it
I love this layout! Finally, not a U dinette as the only seating/lounging option in a 'small' camper trailer. The only thing I'd like is generator prep. I could see putting my own in the very front storage.
Agreed. They nailed the seating. Just need to lower the rv a bit I feel
I only saw a couple of things I would change, like you've said before, there is no perfect camper for everyone. I totally agree. But I will say this, when I compare this to our 2800BH that we love, that is the best overall couples camper that I've seen so far. I absolutely love it!! Great video sir as always!
Ty!
Love any fifth 32’ and under! Usually just the wife and me and occasionally the grandson so we don’t need the 40 footer!!! Very nice unit!
Yeah, I tend to subscribe to similar theories. Thank you.
Hey Josh, how would you compare this to the Alliance 24RK? They both seems to be laid out the same.
I think that 24rk was retired for the new 23ML which he like a cougar 23MLE which is similar to this
It’s largely personal preference. They’re built and equipped more similarly than differently really
Avenue has a wide body which is nice
Damn Josh. Somehow I missed this one. This is perfect. I came here from your
It’s awesome for sure
"Visible heat" 🔥🔥can be problematic. Such a simple and elegant solution to the normal shortcomings this layout traditionally presents.
Glad you like it!
Grand Design has become an absolute disaster! So many units look great, but never fail to have extensive issues that they nor the dealers are willing to remedy! Never GD.
I bought my GD. A year ago, I concur, nothing but problems. Brett RV in Billings Mt. And Missoula Mt. Suck. Don't buy at Brett!!!!!.
Not really Impressed... Do like the no carpet thing and no furnace in the floor... Thinned walled cheap unit... If you really look, they built it the easiest way for THEM.... Less materials etc. More bundling of wiring... etc.
Is this a dual dumper for grey water. Deal breaker
I love it but, man could they pretend to have some wire management in that front battery bay?
😆 fair
Personally, I like the Reflection 260RD more for the larger fridge, but the travel access on this one wins hands down.
👍🏻
This is really nice and well thought out. Of course I always think that every new RV you show is great.
Lol ty
Does this model require a "Y" connection?
Depends on personal preference
I really like the overall design. I have a few personal quirks that I noticed. I don’t like the entertainment area not being symmetrical. I am also kind of miffed about the gap on the left of the microwave. I agree with other viewer’s comments about an option to remove the outside kitchen for additional storage.
That gap has to have a purpose. Maybe another size microwave?
Yeah that would trigger my OCD big time
The gap is there to allow for an aftermarket, residential size microwave
@@JoshtheRVNerd Why don't they just put one in by default - with a convection option.
Ty Mike
Diablo sandwich
😂
Frame needs to be “beefed up” and 8K axles just for bigger 3” brakes 🦅😎🇺🇸
Love the corner dinette - so much more practical. Like the wide 3 seat recliners with drop down in the middle. Great kitchen. Does this exact floor plan come in a non-5th wheel? Since my dad has fallen many times on the bedroom steps, I'm no longer a fan of 5rh wheels. Agree with you on the ankle biting step up floor under the bed.
I discovered that step was due to the fact they have the pivoting pin box. It requires the extra upper deck structure that they using, which force is the mini step.
They nailed the seating. Really liked the theatre seat in the slide with the L shaped dinette to the side.
Agreed
This is a nice one. Did you mention the propane tank size and location at all?
30 pound tanks in the front side compartment like most fifth wheels
@@JoshtheRVNerd Obviously you can tell I'm a newbie thanks. LOL
Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper..😀
when you know you know, smokey
Is 1166 really the hitch weight? I will have to look that up. edit: oh I see it is the 150 series. nevermind.
😉
