- Welcome to 16-Bit Brawl, a series where we pit two Sega Genesis and Super NES games against one another to see which one comes out on top. This time, we'll be comparing X-Men for Sega Genesis with X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse for Super NES. Which was better? Let's find out!

You really should've compared Mutant Apocalypse with Clone Wars. The sequel to the Genesis game improves pretty much everything, on top of it having couch co-op, which to me is a massive plus.
Yeah, I plan on revisiting this for a rematch in the future. I just need to actually spend some time playing Clone Wars first. I suspect that matchup will have a much different outcome.
That sega X-men danger room theme - you can practically smell the farts from that music.
But I agree - SNES X-men was an absolute treat. Still holds up well today.
Sega x-men was a chore to play. I mean Cyclops has a freaking meter to use his optic blast - his whole shtick is that he can’t stop the constant floods of optic blasts!!!
Beasts song on the SNES game is amazing!
I know I'm in the same age range as this guy, and the fact he's still pitting SNES vs Genesis is hilarious because I do the same shit haha
It never gets old!!! Seriously, as long as it's all in good fun, it can be such a fun experiment. I was absolutely a Nintendo kid, and in my old age I'm learning that there was a ton of great Genesis stuff I missed out on. I'm sure future videos will reflect that more. Thanks for watching!
This would have been a much more fair comparison if it was clonw wars on genesis..
Well, the first one is the one I knew growing up so it’s definitely the one more closely associated with the Genesis.:)
Yeah, I'll probably do another one eventually comparing it with Clone Wars.
MY SENTIMENTS, YOU COMPARED A FEATHER WEIHT TO A HEAVY WEIGHT BIG DAWG
THE CROWD HAS SPOKEN--YOU HAVE TO REPLAY CLONE WARS WITH A 90s MENTALITY AND REDO THIS
make sure to play with a friend too
SOLD! This will be revisited as soon as I can. Hopefully before season 2 of '97 starts.
Yeah.... this wasn't a fair fight, you've should have done Clone Wars.
Agreed. I plan on coming back around to this someday. I suspect after I actually put some time into Clone Wars the outcome will be pretty different. Thanks for watching!
@@stoneagegamer No problem, I will be waiting on that episode.
Great video. Subbed 😎 See you on the next one
Thank you very much!
Ya know, I was about to get irritated by this obviously skewed comparison until I realized that there is nothing that can touch X-Men Clone Wars from this era. Mutant Apocalypse is the most bland XMen game ever IMO and I give it a shot every few years. I want to like it because an XMen game using Megaman X engine should be awesome, but I find it completely forgettable honestly. The first Gen XMen was at the very least diversifying gameplay with "summons" and resource management with Wolvie's claw mechanics. That and the "reset moment" put even the first Gen game ahead of SNES for me.
That's understandable, and I should have made it more clear in the video but this is 100% just my opinion. I plan on revisiting this one in the future to pit Mutant Apocalypse against Clone Wars, and I suspect the outcome will be quite different. Thanks for watching!
Super nes game was much better.
