His usage of the term "shall" is perfectly fine. "should" is just the simple past tense of "shall". Whosoever believes in HIM SHALL not perish..... Whosoever believes in HIM SHOULD not perish...... Whosoever believes in HIM WILL not perish...... does this not convey the same idea behind what John was writing?? The whole point to it is that one must believe in Christ Jesus to avoid eternal damnation. The resulting promise is that we will have everlasting life with HIM..... And besides... Many verses that we have memorized and learned over the years come straight from the KJV.... so you're basically saying that if one was to use "you are" as opposed to "Thou art".....they'd be wrong?? i dont think so.
