I just wanted to add that in the grammer stage of classical education it’s more about getting exposed to the grammer itself and mastering it as student progresses and when you get into the logic stage is when you start to really make connections and put it to practice. So for example my son is focusing on first language lessons for 1st-4th then will transition to using fix it grammer for 5th and higher. Grammer for the well trained mind is a four year program for the logic stage as another option as well or can be implemented in high school for extra practice if needed. With classical approach it’s about exposing and circling back around to it in the later stage of learning but using it in a different way and format. I hope this helps a little to understand there is a reason for the way it is done. :) I love how you made both your own though! Thank you for sharing!!
Yes ! Exactly for my son and I it is been working wonderful with the way we have using it, we are both dyslexics and it just makes more sense for us this way. He really knows his grammar pretty well, better than I do for sure. I wish when I was little my teacher would of got to known that about me, I thank God I was able to see that with my son. I am still thankful for my teacher because she did her best in always trying to help :). That is the beauty of homeschooling we can adjust things to how our brains works. Thank you for your comment and the information. ❤️😊
