    To secure their popularity, they should've released something after queendom puzzle like H1-key, rocket punch, and purple kiss. SSQ entertainment really missed out on the queendom puzzle hype 😬

      @@Unknown-jg4uq There's definitely some hype. Considering Nana ranked 2nd and Wooyeon ranked 9th, it definitely would've helped them. After all, woo!ah! Is going on a positive trajectory since debut. Doing nothing after getting impressive results on queendom puzzle just made Nana and Wooyeon go to Queendom puzzle for nothing.

  • @ImFloof
    @ImFloof 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

    Came back here after a while. Luckily it seems like their really long hiatus was mainly because the entertainment was switching buildings and I think also rebranding itself as well as wooah. They had their release Blush 2 months ago which was only made bcz fans were complaining abt wooah having no comeback, and is having another comeback soon 🤗

    also rollercoaster was when they had significantly less promotion during comeback. i remember loving the song and being surprised by them only doing a few stages like their previous comebacks
    there's also an issue of the members posting tiktok videos just for the company to delete it afterwards. it happened too many times and its really odd because tiktok videos would help with their social media prescene while they are on hiatus

    As someone who was a big fan of woo!ah! in 2020, and has been a casual listener ever since, it's really frustrating to see the company just cast aside these girls, ESPECIALLY AFTER hearing how the ceo literally begged their parents to let them join the company. THEIR MOST RECENT COMEBACK WAS SO GOOD THOUGH (stream BLUSH), but with the lack of promotions and media presence because of DXMON, it might not get the popularity it truly deserves. I just hope this doesn't hurt their upward streak because the girls are so so so unique and special to this industry.
    ALSO, I kind of wish that all the members were given EQUAL promotions outside of the group (like not just nana and wooyeon BUT I LOVE THEIR PROMOTIONS LIKE THEIR ACTING IS CHEFS KISS). Like put the girls on more acting jobs (all of them 100% have the visuals for it and Minseo, Lucy and Sora's stage presence proves they can act well), VARIETY SHOWS PLEASE, and like release more tiktoks and vlogs cuz they can all dance in this really captivating way yk ??

    I'm so glad you talked about Woo!Ah!💛 They're such talented girls with great music and choreography, but they are constantly being mistreated and sexualised by their agency ): I think talking about the sexual choreography for "bing bing" that the girls had to dance to while they were still minors would've been an important addition to the video, but alas.
    Edit: another thing that's worth mentioning is how at the start of their career, the company used to sub *all* of Woo!Ah!'s content, but now it doesn't sub anything at all (besides like one random video every half a year)

    another case of a company focusing more on a boy group instead. wooah's numbers were growing despite their inconsistent sound, they got put on hiatus for over a year and while it was announced that they will have a comeback mid-year, elz7up is having a confirmed cb in may so its likely that they won't have a release until summer at the earliest. a shame since rollercoaster was a great kpop song

    It's good to see someone covering if not acknowledging one of their generations, best girl group, like StayC they are just a fun group to listen to, constantly shelling out hit song after hit song but while StayC has had bigger and well-deserved success, Woo ah success while impressive has been less impacting in the charts, unfortunate because like I stated they have songs deserving of top positions in any music charts, of course not belonging to a big company doesn't help their cause ,but more importantly add to that their own company misuse of a potential talent like Woo ah and you could end up with another popular group stuck in the basement until the company decides they will no longer be promoting them or the members begin to abandon ship...Miss A, Girls Generation or Fx come to mind among many others...hopefully this will not be the case, and more so I pray that this delay will not result in the exiting of members, Woo ah's greatest strength is how they stick out as a whole group, imagine Red Velvet without any of the members could they function of course but something will definitely feel off.

    if they had kept giving woo!ah! frequent promotions, especially after elzup, their popularity could have increased to the point of finantial sustainability
    idk im ranting but its bc im mad. i started following woo!ah! in late 2021/early 2022, i never expected them to just drop out from the face of the earth. and for some reason the fact that the company's little gamble with their boygroup didnt out makes me even more upset. it wasnt even worth it

    I feel the pain about woo!ah!'s treatment, but I don't think it's misogyny. That's just your lashing out I think. The problem is that the group didn't grow fast enough to support the money being spent, I feel. Alll these group projects are expensive and rely on investors and if those investors don't see a return after a while they pull out. I doubt NV or their investors saw a penny from woo!ah! in profit. So, yeah, I think that's what happened here, which is a crying shame because woo!ah! could have been in the 60k sales range in a couple more comebacks. If only the money had stayed in place, but SSQ don't control that.
    Instead, we see them being 'broken up for parts'. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Nana solo before we see a group CB.
    The salt in the would is that the investors have clearly been moved over to Dxmon, who were probably sold to investors as a new opportunity but are now struggling to match woo!ah!'s sales numbers or popularity out of the gate. It feels so futile and stupid.

      I understand your point on a larger scale, but in this case, mass emailing absolutely has worked, and every email has been read. The business inquiry email was a dead end, but their marketing team staff email invoked immediate responses to a number of things. The SSQ website identified DXMON as their 1st Artist for a few weeks, and emails to them got it fixed literally within hours. Weeks later, WOWs mass emailed regarding woo!ah!'s TikToks never being uploaded to TH-cam Shorts throughout their career despite DXMON's being uploaded-- the very next upload, this was fixed.
      It actually helps, a lot.

  • @randomkid4783
    @randomkid4783 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

    I like the content for woo!ah but I feel like a lot of this video is misguided.
    DXMON is being promoted like woo!ah was promoted back when they debuted, with the vlogs and traveling to other countries. Except that woo!ah went to Vietnam while DXMON went to America and Japan. The only difference I can see is the DXMON just has a bigger budget for stuff that woo!ah at those different times (because one was at the companies beginning while the other was after they had woo!ah set up).
    I also don't understand the hatred of DXMON getting more content, because it's clear they're trying to establish a new group. New groups need to go all out for their debuts to establish themselves in the industry, especially if they aren't big 4. That's what woo!ah did their first few releases.
    It also wasn't mentioned that NV/SSQ had just recently moved buildings, and with the name rebrand. It could be assumed that there may have been a restructuring in the company which may explain why the comeback message was messy or other stuff. As well as it being a small company so they only have the resources to focus on one group at a time.
    For the issue of deleting content, I remember hearing from a youtuber kaylasays (I forget which video), that she also deletes videos if they get low views. She explained that if you have videos with low views, the algorithm stops promoting you. So to stay in the algorithm you need to keep promoting videos with lots of views... this could be why the company deletes some videos. To keep them in the algorithm... although this is just my educated guess, and I really don't know why. Also, I remember a few months back that they were hiring a videographer. Aka someone to record and make content for them. I don't know how long it affected but some of the lack of content is explained by the fact that they just literally had no one to record that content.
    I feel like saying its misogyny this early into their career is a bit gross, because we don't know if they actually being shelved for a boy group or if it's just the company can only handle one group at a time (you can only grow so much with one group which is probably why they debuted a second group, so they can grow and promote multiple groups at the same time). Throwing around such an accusation this early without solid evidence feels very gross, I personally would've waited a few months to see these accusations are confirmed. As just yesterday all of the members released a choreographed dance to their youtube shorts, meaning that they're back in the studio dancing and practicing. For what... most likely their upcoming comeback.
    However, I do agree that SSQ/NV should push other members. I feel like they should've sent Lucy to Queendom Puzzle as well because she could've slayed. This is like the one thing I agree with in the video and the thing that makes me angry. All of this is obviously just my educated guess/opinion, but I really do think this video jumped the gun... I'm waiting for about a month about DXMON's schedule ending to see if woo!ah makes any news about a comeback. Cause if not, I'm gonna start making some noise because there'd literally be no excuse (their other groups promotions have ended, and they said they were working on that comeback since back in January/early February). But right now, I feel like a lot of the hate is unprecedented... but I understand it getting to a breaking point.

    • @Antmagic2
      @Antmagic2 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      View count would be the logical explanation, but it is not the reason behind SSQ deleting woo!ah!'s videos. They do it arbitrarily, usually in mass, and as far as we can tell there is no discernable reason. Higher performing videos have been deleted, higher performing videos using their own audio deleted, lower performing videos were kept up during deletion sprees, etc. Videos have been deleted hours after being posted, then reuploaded days later (with no changes), then deleted again a week later. It's very difficult to figure out.
      It's harder to track, but they also delete random stuff from other social media platforms. On Instagram they uploaded 9 images to make a 3x3 grid for Pit-a-Pat concept images, and at some point they just deleted one of the images w/ Wooyeon's face. They've (twice) uploaded pictures of Nana and Wooyeon recently and deleted them hours/minutes after uploading.
      TikTok's algorithm actually punishes you for deleting or privating lower view videos, as well. You could attest it to their SNS manager just not knowing about that but that lower view count pattern doesn't exist, so it's not that. Members have also been recording their own content that SSQ just won't upload-- Lucy and Minseo have uploaded multiple TikTok challenges to Weverse. If they're already recording it themselves, I don't see the harm in the company uploading it to their official channels in times where staff may be busy with DXMON. It does FAR more damage to leave them without content for weeks at a time than it does uploading a few phone-recorded dance challenges.
      SSQ/NV's staff remained the same throughout the move. The company building was sold at a loss in September and they were moved in to their new building around 4 months later. I think it's likely the relocation was to have separate practice rooms, and the rebrand was for a fresh start. The only significant staff shakeup occurred very early on in NV's life, when the co-founder Han Ji-seok left.
      I do believe the company doesn't have the staff to promote two groups at the *same time*, definitely. Job application sites cite them at having only 17 employees, and DXMON has been spotted with the same staff members that accompany woo!ah! to events. However, DXMON's budget is quite literally insane for SSQ. Two music videos shot in LA, 23 music show stages, a 4-track mini album, and nearly 40 collaborations with other groups/idols on TikTok (the number exceeds woo!ah!'s total amount of collaborations across their career, and the total amount of challenge uploads for their last 3 comebacks combined). I can't be convinced that DXMON's debut would've suffered or not been still larger than any of woo!ah!'s if woo!ah! had been given budget for a small comeback after Queendom Puzzle in August. DXMON easily could've debuted with a 2-track Single Album, similar to woo!ah!'s debut, and still gotten the level of promotion they got. It wasn't necessary to have woo!ah! drop off the face of planet Earth.
      I appreciate your thoughts and don't intend for this to be hostile. Just want to offer viewpoints from the other side. 🙂
      By the way, I would not anticipate comeback news for woo!ah! anytime soon. Recording for the album has been completed, and shooting would've likely been beginning about right now. SSQ takes about 2 months to edit their MVs, so it would've been a May comeback. Unfortunately, EL7Z UP announced their comeback will take place in May, likely accompanied by their world tour. It seemed to take members by surprise and is what prompted Sora to hint at the delay on Fromm and Weverse (and Nana later). The company has still yet to retract their announcement of a comeback in the first half of 2023 in spite of Wows mass emailing for answers, though. I'm very nervous to see how the company will handle it, since by the time EL7Z UP is done promoting, I could very easily see them opting to have DXMON comeback instead. I'm expecting the worst.

      @@Antmagic2I have no clue on why they delete content… that was just my guess.
      The budget argument though, I remember watching a reaction video and an interesting point came up in one of them (again I forget which), but in a reaction for Spark. They said it looked like they didn’t rent out the street… as in they’re just recording a video on the street like the rest of us. It makes me think that a lot of the places they went to are just public spots, and a majority of it went to the cgi which would definitely cut the budget down a bit. Also… for the length of the mini album. Isn’t one of the members a/learning producing? That would definitely save budget because one of the members is working on it, sorta like (G)-Idle. I’m just asking, I forget if this is true or not.
      I also don’t really care about collabs on tiktok cause that doesn’t really have to do with budget unless if they pay to be in each others videos… then wtf. But I do think woo!ah has had more collabs overall
      But overall yeah, El7z Up has royally screwed up the schedule… because I think a comeback was planned for after the DXMON debut originally. But now with the El7z Up content. It’s throwing everyone for a loop so honestly, I blame Mnet. Personally, I hope they at least release a pre-release like Burn Up to hold over fans.
      But I feel like calling it misogynistic this early is not ok, because we just don’t know enough info rn. It’s just speculation atm based off of what we do know… I hope we know more as DXMON scheduling comes to an end

      @@randomkid4783 I do know the members are instrumentally trained-- not fully sure if they're training to be producers/writers as well, but I've heard so. They however didn't have any part in the production of the mini album. The mini album was produced by collapsedone (woo!ah!'s usual producer) and a newer producer named Kass for the other 3 songs.
      I would imagine they most definitely pay the other groups to be part of their videos. It's a lot of exposure collabing with groups like (G)I-DLE, I can't imagine there isn't a price tag on that. If they didn't, we would've seen more collabs from when Nana was MC of Show Champion.
