i felt like this battle didn't give madison an opportunity to really showcase her voice and the different qualities behind it. that being said, kate absolutely killed it and it was evident that she was the winner by the middle of the performance for me.
I was feeling exactly the same way. Kate definitely had the special parts of the song where Madison never did. But this is the first time I’ve truly felt both contestants weren’t given an equal opportunity in the song. Kate’s got a beautiful voice, but so does Madison!
Kate Kalvach is, for me, CMA material. Whether she wins this or not, I think she most definitely has her own place in country music. So glad to have a chance to listen and watch such remarkably unusual and magical talent.
Since 5th harmony till now Camila just loves to give us a dad joke every once in a while, sadly we don’t have Lauren here to laugh every time 😂 I love that girl

Where I see two strong beautiful young women who are talented confident vocalists. Kate is a great singer and i really think that her tone is cool and good to hear, but man, Kate is freaking ahead of her, so much more prepared and there's still space for her to grow in this competition, I have no doubt that she won it. Kate has a very dynamic voice which stands out and deservedly won this battle. Sometimes I feel like she sustains her notes a bit too long. And this is where Madison shines in her crisp delivery. Short, punchy, impactful. I do also wish she got to go further in the competition.
I noticed that in her blind audition too! That she holds notes a little too long. It’s the only teeny tiny thing I think she could adjust. But shes so great to listen to.

Kate has a lovely and warm tone that I love and she reminds me of Kacey Musgraves. Loved the song choice for them and Madison sounded great in the battle as well but I'd give the win to Kate.

I love both their voices. Madison has such a unique tone and that alto tone was beautiful. I really hope she doesn’t stop singing and we will get to hear her some day. I feel though that altos sometimes lose the sheen to sopranos because they have to sing that lower register to harmonise, and aren’t seeing the melody line as much. But…. Kate though… yea she did outclass Madison and won her fair and square. She does have the more powerful vocal but it was classy and authentic.

I also feel Blake is constant humiliating Camila he has said “ I don’t want her to win” “ she has the potential to be a sucky coach” “ she doesn’t know this song , you weren’t event conceived to this song” “ is that a pirate shirt” “ does your flower squirt” and so many other stabs then muting her always and humiliating her in front of the audience. Last episode 11 he told the audience “ do you like her to talk” and the audience said yes. But he wanted to find was to humiliate this young lady. Blake’s stabs at Camila who is a young lady are so hurtful to watch and make Blake seem like a male bully who is mysoginistic. Blake bullying and throwing stabs at a woman is not entertaining specially when women suffer the highest rates of violence. I feel Blake is a bully of Camila in this show and I find it unacceptable
I wonder if Madison was sick here or undergoing some sort of vocal injury? Definitely didn't get a lot from her this round but it sounds like she at least has a cool twangy tone. Kate was a bit sharp and times but def displayed some killer pipes

Not everyone has the gift of being funny haha. Definitely relate to her where she tries to be funny and it's not funny, when she doesn't try to it can be funny though. Some people, like Blake, are just funny either way, that's their gift.
A very large mistake happened here. If these two lady's would come together and record this song for the radio, it would be a hit from that day forward. I love the country flare that they both brought to this iconic song and to me Blake should had not picked either of them but instead put them together as a group. This version is my favorite version to the day prior to the original.
I'm absolutely marking this in my 'Best Battle' list, I just saw two girls grown into women. Both are better than they were in the Blinds. (Am I being suspicious or is it true that one of the two microphones got some issues with the sound? It just doesn't feel right.)
I don't know if Blake is just having an off day also. But I don't like the song choice. They had a moment where they both were nice during the chorus but then I thought they were off. I think the Coaches are looking at their techniques.
Kate is amazing. I do feel really bad for Madison - her tone is remarkably unique and compelling. Unfortunately, she did get a bit pitchy for a few moments at the end. Even if she hadn't, it would definitely have been a tall order to win against Kate. But she is a wonderful singer in her own right.
I loved Camila’s goat joke! I bet Blake used his mean power to mute the audience because her joke was cute and funny!!! As a woman I was upset that Blake disrespected Camila from the beginning of the season telling her he doesn’t want her to win , mutes her always , and implies that she should be quiet, I found that very disrespectful from him because he is trying to impose his dominance as “the dominant man” on the show. Camila is sweet and funny , lively. Muting a lady or woman or anyone like he did made me lose respect for Blake.
