I can't help but to think back when that little girl stood in front of all the people at NGT with only half her teeth and presented herself to the world, what a glorious day for the world it was :)
I loved her "chandelier" version, best I've heard her, but this was so emotional. And wiping away a tear, ditto, how endearing. And may I say, I applaud her talent because singing with a tired voice and tears is hard to do, trying to carry a tune and compose yourself, at only 16, too. Her strength and ability is awesome.
These concerts are so important for her development: the connection to the audience and other musicians, her communication, in and between songs. So it might have been god, for example, to introduce "Million Miles", what it means to her and so on. Not because people don't know, but to create a vibe from beginning. An example, what now she really can learn and develop. Her brilliance can't cover, that she is still on the way, to find her artistical identity, her style as a grown artist. For this challenge these concerts are absolutely great, they will give her a real push.
Elin, all your recordings of the July 1 concert are superior to other people's recordings and do justice to Angelina's performance. Until I found your recordings, I was a little disappointed at the July 1 concert. You save the day for me. The quality of recording in the June 22 concert, e.g. when Angelina sang I Have Nothing, was much better.
You're right. Elin's videos did have the best sound. Unless someone else posts some videos that are better, perhaps. The video of "I Have Nothing" and the one of "Bohemian Rhapsody" were recorded by a professional TV crew, which is why the quality is so good. Still enjoying the cell phone videos though.
Clive Davis needs to get to her. Bad arrangement, great vocal, fast tempo does not dramatize her strength. Please get to an original song that she can own as hers.
