A lot of mine are very flat. Especially the larger ones. I personally think they are just as beautiful. It’s a semi freeform trademark. Nothing to “fix”, I just let them grow! Your locs are just as beautiful straight down btw. Love them so much!
Your locs are gorgeous!! I love flat locs though, especially thick ones. They look so nice in curled styles/braidouts and they are just so unique. I have never twisted my locs(4 years Loc’d) and almost all of mine are flat.
I also am a semi-free former and about 75% of my locs are flat. I didn’t realize that this was going to happen but I have embraced it and love how unique they are. 👦 Your locs are beautiful BTW!
I have thick locs I retwist every 6weeks. I always let them dry at least 12 hours before sleep or laying on them but I still have flat locs!! I tried everything to round them out, palm roll, wrapping with yarn, crocheting them but nothing changed the flatness so I just expected it. 🤷🏽♀️
You're locs are gorgeous. You don't need to cure what is gorgeous. But if you really want some cylindrical locs, you can do African threading or banding to try and get some locs to take a round shape. There are a lot of You Tube videos demonstrating this technique.
I am 20 months into my loc journey. I have thick locs, I'm not free forming, not to say that that has anything to do with having flat locs but I definitely have some flat locs. I use to watch loc videos for a few years b4 I loc'd & most would speak about flat locs like they were frowned upon. When I finally loc'd & they began to mature & fatten up I noticed some were flat. It didn't really concern me tho. All my locs are unique & some are flat and also in the back, where my thickest locs are located. 🤷🏾♀️

I have flat locs as well. Figured that’s what my hair wanted to do so I let them do their thing.
