I love this plant in my aquarium looks great as a background but not super thick so fish can swim through it properly they seem to like taking cover in my ambulia :)
I'm having success with this or similar not the giant, but it's not doing as well as I'd hoped, will check your advice against my parameters , another good video man 👍

I have this plant for a week and it started to grow roots from the side of the stems well above the substrate. What to do abt these roots?
You can cut below those roots and replant it as a new plant

No this one needs substrate. Try hornwort for a floating alternative
I noticed you are using CO2 in your aquarium. How does the plant do without added CO2?
I have co2 in some and no co2 in others. It still grows fine just not as fast
