One of my free favourites is tomato plants, just take a seed from a tomato and plant it! Then you get free tomatoes later! If you dont have a flower pot you can take the plastic bucket that some yoghurts come in (or some other product you already have) and cut holes in the bottom and then put on a plate or something to catch the water. I planted one tomato seed in march and it is over a meter long now. You can also grow other foods if you like it is so fun and not as hard as you might think

Hi Hannah ❤️ I would love to hear more about your diet, it seems very interesting every time you talk about it. Also I would grately appreciate if you could type down in the description box the names of books/authors whenever you recommend something bc as a human who's mother tongue isn't english it's very hard to understand how to write names, but I would love to check out your recommendations.

This is my favorite kind of Hannah content! Not only does it inspire me to try new things (I've always wanted to get into cozy/British mysteries but didn't know where to start), it also inspires me to think about the Absolutely Free Favorites that are enriching my life right now.

You look stunning with your new hair and that lip 😍 My favorite free thing in life - or rather, my favorite thing period - is my daughter, watching her grow from baby to toddler and rediscovering how magical every is through her eyes. I also cherish time spent with my family and friends, as well as alone time. The older I get, the more I realize what a luxury that time is. Thank you for another great video 😘

Hannah,I loved this video, because of the most important message what’s in it.Most things that we enjoy so much in life are for free, priceless, costless, ofcourse everybody needs a income to pay your Bills, and a little for grocerys, but what makes most people happy, there is no price included. When people are younger they almost think always that you need to make as much money as possible, but most important things in life, you van’t buy.For me is health, being lucky, family, just having a nice and relaxing evening, playing familygames, making beautifull memories, having a nice conversation, all these things are for me more worth than all things you can buy in a store. We need to live from a small budget, but that’s giving us probably less stress than people with a high paycheck, and are always working.I am glad that we can pay oir monthly Bills, and having just enough money left to do our grocerys, and we don’t buy very expensive grocery’s but sometimes we do a little extra for the weekend. We don’t have depts, but our income is to low to save Some money, that’s the only thing I would change if I could,I would love to have just a little savings for when something got broke, and needed to replace. But I realy think that money doesn’t make people happy, they don’t have worries when something has broke, and needed to replace, but people with a high income have other kind of problems, like when somebody lost their job, they are so used to that high income, that it’s very difficult to take multiple steps back, mostly they need to work so many hours, that they don’t have quality time together, and share everything with eachother, having fun together, enjoying little things in life, enjoying their healt etc.I am so glad that you mentioned that most things that Made you happy this month, hasn’t got a pricetag. Those are things that many people need as a wake-up call, because it’s so normal that everything costs money, and it’s so important to see Some things from the other side.I am realy happy that I am not rich, because I learned so many things, and enjoying life, even enjoying my crazy health, that I wouldn’t have learned when we both has a higher income. We try to make a game, doing grocery’s for as less as possible, but still having all products we need.We don’t go on a holliday because I can’t because of my health issues, and because our income is to low,but we always try to do lot’s of fun stuff in summertime, like a picknick, swimming, going to the forrest, going to a lake, going midgetgolfing, taking a trip with my electric wheelchair,my hubby in a scooter because his knees are very bad,and my Son with his bike, bringing along Some coffee, and Some snacks, and something to drink for my Son,a picnicblanket, and just going for a ride no matter where we go to,and on our way back, treating ourselfs with a icecream. We always try to find Some new activitys,a few years ago we went to a park, just cleaning up the mess that other people lay there, and we had just so much fun, with our trashbags, cleaning up,giving the good example to other people.Sometimes we take a mini BBQ,and Some vegetables,Some meat, and something to drink, and having a BBQ in a park,on the waterside, just enjoying little things in life, with eachother company, and all these nice things don’t cost a lot more because when we are at home,we also need to do grocery’s,but doing it this way is a lot more fun than just BBQ at home. All these things are gonna be more difficult for me now that I am only able to get for two hours a day out of bed,so we need to brainstorm with all three of us,what we still can do in summertime,to have fun,and probably we have a few ideas together in no time. When I was younger I had a normal paycheck and I was always saving to go on a holliday,I have bin 7 times to las Vegas, once to Florida,4 times to greece,3 times to turkey,7 times to spain, once to Luxemburg, three times to germany,4 times to france,4 times to belgium, all those vacations were fabulous, but all vacations we didn’t go away and stayed at home were even better, because when our Son was Born,it was more practical to stay at home, and doing nice things.Than my hubby and I couldn’t work anymore because of huge health issues,so now we can’t go on Vacationbecause of our finances, but I realy don’t mind.I still have a dream to go once back to las Vegas with my hubby and Son,when he is old enough, but that takes us many years of savings, but that’s realy a wish for me,because of my health issues, and in las Vegas are so many things able, when you are disabled, and because I need to lay down so much,I also have a wheelchair where I can lay flat in,and I need to rest on a regular base, but in las Vegas is everything 24/7 open,so that doesn’t matter.I realy hope that I can forfill that wish sometimes, but my Son is now 14,so I have still many years to try to save, xoxo wendy.Sending you a huge hug hannah❤️

Dude, this resonates so hard. As a lawyer who bills every 6 minutes, I have done numerous year long projects, writings, blogs, and other self care regimes to force myself and train myself to be less obsessed about time and having the perfect day go according to the perfect plan. I've been working on it for almost ten years exactly. And still, if I am not doing all my Courtney things, it will grab me. BUT! the exciting thing is in this quest to be less perfectionistic about and rule by time, I've discovered so many things I love to do to take care of myself and redirect my thoughts.

My June favorites: my garden, watching my cat get high on catnip, the Harry Potter app game, going to the library, hiking in the nature preserve by my house. Oh and my new (relatively low cost) 3D printed black glitter coffin brush holder I got off etsy! LOVE this video because it suits the rest of your well thought out, low buy content.

I have watched some of the Lord Wimsley's mysteries, but never read any of them. We have been getting old movies from the library. We just watched On The Waterfront with Marlon Brando. I love the idea of a free list of monthly favorites! I am definitely going to look into the Instagram messaging app. I've recently been attending free chamber music concerts at our local public library, which are performed each month by members of our city's symphony orchestra. The music is great, and the library has a surprisingly good amphitheater with great sound quality. Gotta love free culture! :)

    1. Your eyebrows look extra excellent in this video!
    2. Best favorite video yet! Meditation is definitely one of those things that I know I should be doing because it would help me a lot with my anxiety but I have a hard time motivating myself (same with my yoga practice honestly) but you've inspired me to give it a go this coming week. I'm reaching the end of my rope with my mental health lately so here's to hoping it helps.

I also apply the no screen rule before bed. I make sure I also don't sleep on the side of the bed with the alarm clock. Right now before bed I am reading Edie: American Girl by Jean Stein. I like the visceral quality of reading an actual book, I find the the tactile quality of paper helps me retain more information.

Not beating yourself up for your schedule being different is definitely something I needed to hear. I took a month off of work between jobs to have time to tackle some projects I wanted to work on (making TH-cam content being one of them, still not there yet, lol). And I find that even though I have incredibly productive days-I make a lot of stuff-I am constantly beating myself up for not being where I wanted to be at the end of the day. And then I also feel bad for feeling bad! XD So thank you for saying that and bringing it to the forefront of my mind. I'm going to work on being kinder to myself on this.

This is sooo inspirational. It makes me want to start a list of my favorite free things. Yet again, your reminder to put the building blocks in place for optimal health is so timely. I’m all over the place now and I really need to tighten things up to feel like my best self.
I would love if maybe in the future you did a “favorites revisited” video where you look back on favorites of months gone by. Are they still a favorite? Do you even still own them? Etc.
Now I’m going to be the annoying subscriber that tells you that you misspelled beauty in the title 🙃. Thanks for sharing lady ❤️

You know I adore this series 😍I still can't get over how innovative, smart, sweet and wholesome it is to focus on favorites each month that are not just new acquisitions! I loved seeing your bright smiling face and joe in the background! (I'm also super happy the flowers made it onto your channel 😍I love the way orchids add to a space!) I'm downloading flume and marco polo this very second! Screens is also something skyler and I struggle with, so yesterday when we moved in our dresser and nightstand we decided not to set up our usual bedside charging table! Instead we will charge our phones on the dresser so no more bed scrolling! solidarity against the bed screens!

I'm a voice/piano teacher. I don't know if this could apply to your scheduling, (Lord knows I don't have it all figured out 😂) but when I don't have lessons... Which always have time limits, I will tell myself in addition to lessons, I also need to get these three things done... But I don't nail it down to a particular time. Just "before the end of the day" or "before the end of the work day". I definitely relate to the feeling of disappointment when "fantasy days" don't become reality.

I'm a girl with a short torso who hates to spend $$$ on clothes and doesn't want anything to touch me around my belly. I love thrifting loose-ish cotton Ts, a lot of times from the guy section, but they either cling and bunch up around the hips or they're just way to long. A couple years ago I started to crop them to hit me at just the right point at the waist AND IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I have never looked back. All you need is a pair of scissors and BAMB: perfect shirt. They hang off my boobs and give me a super comfy boxy silhouett that I love. It's basically all I wear now. Its works for sweatshirts too. Its great for band t-shirts or novelty/gift store t-shirts (which are things that I love to thrift for). They're great with jeans and shorts, or over high waisted and body hugging dresses and skirts. It's probably not for everyone, but it's perfect for me. I get so many compliments on my collection. I feel 100% cute (and a little bit fashion) AND the majority of my tops cost like $4.99! I'm happy you are feeling the cropped shirt empowerment, it is the best!

I don't think I can call it a favourite yet, but I've been experimenting with Solfeggio frequencies to help me focusing when I'm working and also falling asleep at nigth.
So far I've seen very good results (deeper sleep and more focus along the day); the only reason I don't rave about it is because those frequencies are not exactly pleasant to my 'dog ears'.
In case someone wants to give it a go, the channel I listen to, here in YT, is called Meditative mind.

We had my grandpa over for dinner this week so I got to experience two of my favorite recipes again! One is a baked pasta dish and the other is oatmeal raisin cookies 🤤 the cookies are one of those desserts that make me nostalgic since we often had them at my grandparents house. It was nice to see Joe harmoniously working in the background today as you worked on your video. The library is a constant favorite for me as I love to read and discover new authors, either recommended by others or by browsing the shelves and picking up a random book and reading the jacket. Since June, I’ve been shopping here and there for slip on summer sandals with platform soles that could be worn casual or dressy. Nothing I saw or tried on met my criteria fully or satisfied me. Then it occurred to me to shop my closet the same way I shop my makeup collection. I rediscovered two pairs (different colors) of exactly what I was looking for. They beat everything I’ve seen and met my criteria, and they are super comfortable. I don’t know how I could have forgotten about these, but they definitely are favorites since rediscovering. And I no longer want or need to purchase a new pair of sandals.

I love these types of favorites!!! I love to read, especially fiction, but it had been so long since I really devoted time to that. About a week or so ago, I discovered a new (to me) author and have absolutely been devouring books. I had forgotten that amazing feeling of losing yourself in another world, and It. Is. Precious.

Really like the building block of health visualisation. It’s so true that we know what makes us feel good- we just aren’t always great at building time for all the things!

Hannah, I got very angsty listening to your description of punishing yourself for your days not working out to your ideal version. I have a similar tendency. However, this aspect is destructive and you must be kind to yourself. Suggestions: pay more attention to your meditation of letting go of control; find value in being present in the moment, because the present moment is all any of us have; alternative parameters--do a task for a specified amount of time, an hour, a half an hour, or whatever seems appropriate. It is a way of appreciating progress incrementally, rather than in a more judgemental, good or bad perspective. All else sounds like a great month of appreciation. I've been working out for a month now, at least 3x a week, and I am grateful for the positive effects it is having on me. I also read two books last week, after being is a reading slump due to anxiety. Progress!

I love the concept of free favorites! What has helped me incredibly with sleep issues is installing flux (also free!) on my laptop, it basically gradually adjusts the screen to more red toned light towards the afternoon/evening depending on when you set your bedtime. I find that even when I don't take screens to bed, it still helps to reduce the overall exposure to blue light in the evening. Also!! My boyfriend has been raving about Tara Brach's guided meditations, they are also available on Stitcher and Spotify. I use the former bc it's free, but I agree with another commenter that the insight timer app is great for mediation! Personally, I haven't been able to meditate without crying/laughing hysterically/falling asleep, I think there is an anxiety involved in the process for me about letting time pass knowing you will sit there for 5+ minutes, I prefer working out or doing yoga to clear my mind but am trying to get better at meditation too 🙈

I recently discovered the Books sub on Reddit and now have a growing list of new books to read...and old books to re-read. So much so that I'm planning to head to my library and finally get a library card again, my local library does e-books and audiobooks as well. I was a voracious reader up until college where it got a little lost and it's been wonderful to dive back into it again. Currently reading Middlemarch by George Eliot and I highly recommend. It's so clever and George Eliot is one of my favorite English novelists.
I'm also successfully growing a grapefruit tree from a seed that had sprouted in a grapefruit I'd gotten at a local farmer's market weeks ago. Like all trees, he's a slow grower and in 5 years will be a tree but for now he's brightening up my kitchen table with his little green leaves.

My free favourites: using Audible on a sleep timer. I absolutely love this for combatting insomnia. Put in your headphones & set your audiobook to automatically switch off at the end of the chapter or after a specified period of time. Talking of time: your obsession with clockwatching is probably damaging, rather than helping your productivity (as well as being psychologically punishing and really unjust on yourself). Think about rather than working long hours, working smart hours. I highly highly recommend Cal Newport's book Deep Work and Daniel Levitin's The Organised Mind to assist with this. And remember that, for creatives, time to muse, daydream and read widely for pleasure is important. Those things feed us and enrich our imagination. And without a rich imagination we cannot produce our best work.

And I know I've said this before but if consistently have problems falling asleep at what you think "should" be your bedtime, consider that you might not be a lark. Since you have the freedom to do so, adjust your sleep/wake times till they feel most comfortable. I know I'm recommending a lot of books, but read Daniel Pink's When on chronotypes and maybe consider adjusting-if you want to.

It's refreshing to hear you talk about learning to let go of how exactly things "should" go.
As my therapist says, "Don't 'should' all over yourself" ;)

I have a book recommendation! I just read this myself and there's an incredibly high probability that you already read this, but The Shining is amazing. I've been a fan of the movie for so long that I can't believe I just got around to the book. It's very introspective and detailed, every character is well defined and there's a lot of hidden, underlying meanings. If you're still in the market for a good book, this may peak your interest. Also the Witcher series is very engaging, it seems like it would be a shallow action-adventure type thing, but it's really far from that

I use What’s Up with my family. We have faking group. We send videos, mems, texts and voice messages. This help me to keep daily contact with my family in different country. I live in Italy, most of my family in Poland, part in England. Soon, I’ll live in Brazil, so it’ll be even more useful ❤️
