That made my day! I really love the 260's, and for some reason i got into Citroëns. So in my garage there is a Volvo 245 standing right beside a Citroën XM with a 24valve 200HP PRV. And i have been dreaming of a turbocharged 260 for 30 years.
Yes love 260 too. had another 264 GL also 77 B27E owned for 16 years did 470km and now this 264GL 235k so far. Also had a 83 760gle B28E sold years ago . Volvo just goes on and on..
Have heard of the PRV V6 being capable of enlargement up towards 3.2-litres and even 3.4-litres, yet was it achieved via an overbore beyond 93mm (if such a thing is possible) or through stroking it above 73mm? Without the turbochargers, what would be a viable enlargement of a road-going PRV V6 beyond 3-litres?
PRV 90 degrees 3.0l is the only one I know of like in the Citroen XM V6 .24v etc .. DTM Alfa Romeo 155 Ti DTM used Lancia Thema PRV V6 and were able to get 490hp .. non turbo !. th-cam.com/video/DRcFpmQL3bc/w-d-xo.html . Then you have the French supercar Venturi 400GTR, 500LM and 600LM with turbo ! still 3.0l PRV.
