Innovations and technological contaminations in the first world exposition, which took place on the Asian continent. The lecture analyses issues and methods, relating to the urban and architectural layout of the OSAKA ’70 Universal Exposition, through a critical reading of Arata Isozaki's Festival Plaza pavilion: a large and emblematic roof, occupying the Expo's main square and recalling the great buildings of the European utopia of the 1960s.
