I hope it doesn’t take another 100 years to see a statue of you Vusi.....Your wisdom is priceless in our day and age....I promote you to every single person that will give me more than 5 minutes of their time. God bless you!!!
"Resilience is about your ability to endure the moment because of your belief about the future. If you miss the second part of that statement, then enduring the moment isn't resilience, it's suffering... and you can suffer in perpetuity under the illusion of preparation without seeing a destination - hehehehe" (VT, 2020)
Not a talk show... the problem is that he'll be monitured and stuff. He only have like 1 hour. Imagine that He should start a podcast instead. There he can speak as much as he want for as long as he wishes. He can say what he wants without dealing with Executives and having show runners
My daily prayer...Lord help us (people of color) to break out of the cycle of oppression & very effort we put to do so it leads us to our breakthrough.
South Africans must now start focussing on owning the factors of production: Land, Labour and Capital. 1. Struggle to own the house and land you live on. That house or that land can be a source of capital as collateral if you need a business or development loan. It also means you don't pay rent to anyone. And you can also build houses for others to rent. It can also be a source of income if you grow food to sell on it. 2. Get the very best education you can. And help your family members also do the same. If you don't go to university, get a technical skill and be the best at it as you can. An education and skills open doors. Not just to employment, but more importantly, to self-employment and creating jobs for others. 3. Capital - NEVER underestimate the value of pooling together resources to access capital. That is largely why Kenyans are succeeding in being self-employed and starting their own businesses. Almost every Kenyan who is earning money is a member of what we call SACCO (Savings and Credit Cooperative Society). These Saccos take small monthly contributions from members, pool them and give loans guaranteed by other members of the Sacco to whoever needs it. THEY ENSURE CAPITAL IS AVAILABLE TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS IT. And the savings members make also earn interest, thus everyone gains. I could say more, but those three things are the reason ordinary Kenyans are making it and growing their economic lot every single day.
Am a 23yr old Kenyan girl...... I wanna embark on self employment next year.... Wht advice could you give me kindly???.... Specifically on the do's and dont's when starting.......
The most powerful thing about this message is that it speak to the spirit, it hit home. However it frustrates me to see how blind or misled or unimformed we are as the youth of south africa. I believe that tomorrow is bright and keep inspiring us Mr Thebekwayo, Sometimes as a teacher you might have to teach the same lesson for two days to a week before the learners look up and start dreaming bigger and having a vision. To understand that living in Morningside and driving a golf 7 GTI is not a vision worth waking up for 21 days a month. Let us live and leave a legacy for 100 years to come.
Loved your take: The future is not built by the victim but by the person that sees an opportunity where everyone else sees a problem. In other words big issue, BIG opportunity.
Watching most of your videos made me realize that....most of us are Lazy and we waste our lifetime on worthless things... We need to criusly start thinking outside the box..... Time of the essence here!!!!!!!!!
I've been educated in 15 minutes. Learnt more than I have in my whole educational career. This dude forces the my mind to rethink and reevaluate. I still however question what the solution is. The only one I've ever come with is to make sure that the youth is educated about such systems and structures but this cannot happen if we still let our children go to schools that aren't geared for their success. I guess in the meantime we are to educate at home.
My mother was a party member during the 80's and 90's and headed to OBE English Syllabus until 2000. She left due to memos circulating within the department. Stating that the ineptitude of the department was in fact, purposeful. Factions wanted a "mindless mass of souls" to ensure long term support for the NDP. The education system only serves to teach what to think and not how. I wish I had left school in STD 8, I would of had a massive jump on my peers in self employment. Home schooling or communal private schooling is the best way to be involved in your child's education, and can be a great head start for them in life. Trusting bureaucrats with your children's education is probably not smart.
Each time I listen to you, I am challenged to be and do more to be more. I have learnt quite a lot around business from you. My takeaway from this video is: How do you reframe? This applies both to my personal life and my vision going forward
10 000pounds of respect to you man,the way you share your perspective is profound....its time we break the walls of exclusion and weight of oppression.
Don't break the walls.... sell advertising space! One is destructive and the other is constructive. Constructive way will open your mind to new opportunities 😊
Extremely eloquent, I would love to work for you and teach anti-corruption measures and proper systems of accounting, auditing and corporate governance to an economy in South Africa largely run by a corrupt state on all levels, yet I'm teaching to the people of Kenya , Lesotho, Zambia, Ghana, Botswana, Malawi, Tanzania as they as learners want to curb corruption in their countries, yet in my own country I cannot do that as I don;t have the right color of skin. Fraud and corruption is excepted as part of what South Africa is now with no plans to change it.. Same system, different government and I say this as a Christian and a liberal.
Wow Vusi you have an amazing way to play with words that make so much sense, I marvel at your abilities and knowledge. Thank you for sharing it with our young people
Vusi be dropping gems on gems📝. I see the structure in Bloem everyday I go to work... But I never questioned it, I didn't realize what was around me in plain sight
Everytime i listen to you i grow. Be blessed 🙏🏽 Looking forward to growing into who i am suppose to be and wish some day we cross paths. You are doing a great job in helping everyone.
Watching this in 2021 just before Our President takes us down to level 3 during the third wave of covid... having lost 16 family members to Covid 19 and during all that time having started my own online administration company to bring my very rural community closer to the online systems that we now have to use to gain access to fundamental services... Im not happy, Im tired all the time, my boyfriend dumped me coz I work all the time. I cant help thinking: ITS WORTH IT! MY COMMUNITY IS WORTH IT and my God WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!! #NAMASTE
Planning on creating an independent self sufficient eco system with a township called Ginsberg I grew up in. I'm very confident I will no matter how long it takes
Thank you Vusi. Listening to you i recognise existence of these systems even in my own southern African country. This is insightful & a call to action.
This BOOK needs to be published and recited to all South Africans... Everyone, every man woman and child should know the content of this book and understand the context of the book. I think that our foresight will be in plain sight once we have insight of our own hindsight.... In other words, we need to know where we come from to really see where we are going now and imagine where we could go. And then take a correct path.
No man! Vusi juggling our thinking on Saturday, thank you brother this is a critical pondering one that is the foundation needed to bring the necessary thinking frame to take action towards transformation.
This was very insightful and I appreciate the clarity that it is presented.... Vusi you have a gift from God in that you come across crystal clear...... I was hoping that you would conclude with the fact that the current system is designed for the resurgence of the previously oppressed and that our new generation has the cards stacked in their favour this time; if only they choose to see it that way....it’s time that everyone looks for opportunities and not excuses......a good mindset is the beginning of good things.
We need to start investing more in townships than the suburbs because I truly believe that is the only way we can actually move towards the right direction
we need you....and thank you...those with ears will listen..and please take good care of yourself because they will come for.....just because you've decided to enlighten us and not turn ur bk on us..
Very insightful. Why would the ANC choose to lower education for children with their 30% pass rate? You said yourself that the ANC have lowered the bar so more people can stand in the shallows rather than learn to swim. What would the post-apartheid ANC government chose to do that?
The upliftment of the people should have been the ANC'S main goal when they were given a well run country with major " APARTHEID " systems. They failed the people by opening the borders, looting the economy and not introducing the correct family planning systems. There were enough jobs in SA, but the rate our population has grown has put strain on our economy. This is a world wide problem. There was enough money to go around but unfortunately it was given to the wrong people to administer. PLEASE STOP THE LOOTING AND MAKE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE AND WE WILL ALL SEE THE CHANGE. Why have a budget for the muncipalities if everyone knows they won't stick to it. GIVE THEM THE MONEY YOU AND I WORKED FOR BUT DON'T AUDIT AS IT MAKES NO DIFFERRNCE IF ITS CLEAN OR NOT. Let the stealing continue so we all poor and the services just get worse. We all in it together but we need people like VUSI to take the lead and get rid of the old regime.
I agree with you which is why I think there should minimum educational requirement for anyone to be considered for the position of president otherwise we are going to end up with the likes zuma
Vusi, thank you for a very insightful and very clearly articulated explanation of how the system is designed to exclude many - it’s this type of relevant thinking, engagement and exhortation that’ll lead to the action of unlocking the many opportunities (revolution) embedded in South Africa and Africa’s rich economies - these educational and empowering talks are a vital ingredient to integrate with the foresight you rightfully call us out to familiarize and equip ourselves with. God bless, favor, protect & prosper you as continue you continue to fight for the emancipation of systematically impoverished minds and for a legacy that’ll cause our great great grandkids to be thankful for the faith and boldness to take on the Goliath of our generation.
Vusi you are a great inspiration to the people of South Africa, Pl help the youths, is my prayer, irespect of race,, colour, or gender we need yr input God bless,
You're inspirational 😊 Love your factual explanation of "Systems of Exclusions"... Pity the ANC passed 163 laws discriminating against people based on the colour of their skin. Looks like one set of "Systems of Exclusions" were just replaced by another set of "Systems of Exclusions"😕😕
Hannes, I see your point brother, I really do, however, please put yourself in the ANC's shoes for a second. You inherit a country with such deeply rooted inequality and such well constructed walls of economic exclusion, a country where 90% of the wealth belongs to 10% of its population, a country with the world's biggest wealth gap that even Time Magazine and the IMF refer to as "The world's most unequal economy". How do you fix this in a peaceful manner, without civil unrest? Where do you start? How do you begin to reconstruct the socio-economic conditions of 59 million people, more than half of whom have been purposefully and systematically relegated to the lowest possible living conditions? Do you not enforce a set of policies that can somehow protect the "previously excluded" and level the playing fields? Do you not create a new legislative framework that will give the township child, whose grandparents were legally excluded from anything that looks like wealth, a fair chance at being whatever he/she dreams of? Whichever way we look at it. There is no easy solution here. One thing for sure though, we all need to work together if we will change the status quo in our lifetime.
Somebody please convince this man to run for President. To think I initially didn't like him, thought he was just another selfish pompous "black diamond" coconut type but he's actually the most positive role model for today's youth which is badly needed in a society that glorifies crime and materialism. Fact that he goes out of his way to educate and inspire on such platforms despite being well off is proof of his selflessness and genuine empathy for those who look up to him. Though I also admire the CIC but his love of the finer things makes his character questionable as he promotes greed and politics as the best opportunity we have to become something. Here's an individual who penetrated and dominated previously restricted spaces without tenders or comrades. Imagine if we were lead by a young accomplished intelligent sharp lively and outspoken individual such as him...he probably would've made the corona thugs take their "virus" back and let us be.
I enjoyed this segment, thank you. This is so undeniably true, those who are living in the world in plain sight don't know it, those who have hindsight are trying to their best to get their children to look up, those with insight are frustrated because they can't ignore it and I can only hope that those with foresight are feeling optimistic and preparing for what can be. I would be pleased to unravel some of the riddles with you on the Cause Couch. Would you be available to be a guest on The Cause Couch?
Thank you, for the upload. Indeed theirs opportunity in the midst of chaos. We have to bring down these barrier walls. Indeed we are being positioned to be cheap labour. I'm still not happy with the level of education currently being offered.
It's always eye opening... To listen and watch your videos.... I mean each and every video is worth watching....and worth every single megabyte..... Mr Vusi.... Much respect... And please keep on exposing us to this information.... Believe me.... Most of hear you....Keep it up...Compatriot... We truly appreciate
I can now easily listen and even understand Vusi's thought angle since his understanding of 'structural racism and exclusion'... Before this, all he was uttering was a whole lot of inclusionism hogwash that made us all black people look lazy and stupid, even a few of us who tried to work smart and hard in this anti-black system.
as a young Motswana with a South African heritage, I don't care if I have never lived longterm in SA but this hits hard real hard cos I'm a black African first and I know this same oppression happens in Botswana but we find a way to brush it under the rug and pretend everything is normal
Vusi the insight in the content of your videos is extremely empowering, similar to Malcom X. Ugade bangakubulali cos our government is all about having power over the people not about leading us to a better country
Poverty in black community is no mistake, it was build, orchestrated and we continue to live as if it's okay, as if it's normal, how sick is that! I agree big bro Vusi we have to force change! Devil like it or not we can't continue like this. It's high time black people we support each others businesses let's resist the temptation to hate one another otherwise our children will still find this same evil system in place and continue to oppress and deny them many opportunities.
Thanks Brother. Another gem for keeps!! And in the meantime, our government is introducing social grants for unemployed youth... Eish!! This ANC is hell--bent on having a welfare state not to ask questions.
My inspiration man ever. Please send me the name of the BOOK of the three constructs townships, industry,CBD and suburbs...this talk is making me think deeply
Awesome show. Will A young White person growing up in Bertrams or Yeoville or in an area somewhere that has lost its sense of pride & is lawless have the same opportunities as a young Black person whether or not in leafy Sandton? Sadly the poor environment that people grow up in usually pulls them down ... Be it through drugs abuse, alcohol abuse or just accepting a much lower living standard .... just Imagine those kids growing up in an institution and how bad they have it regardless of race.
"And it took him 100 years" - I'm a numbers' man - that made me cringe. I respect you and the whole part of this helped me a lot with a lot of concepts. Keep doing the good job, Mr Thembekwayo.
Vusi Thembekwayo for president
My Brother you've done and still doing your part of waking up Black Child I thank you we need to work and be involve
I hope it doesn’t take another 100 years to see a statue of you Vusi.....Your wisdom is priceless in our day and age....I promote you to every single person that will give me more than 5 minutes of their time. God bless you!!!
"The environment you're in, was not built for you to succeed in it."
That slapped.
Very hard!
my guy!!!
SO ...WE NEED TO CHANGE THAT ENVIRONMENT
It was built to shape us to want more but we keep fighting to find comfort in a temporary place
What you do is so important, I can’t explain how much. Young Africans need a constant dosage of this. Minds need to open at an exponential rate.
Not only Every African who's in the continent of Africa, but Africans in every single diaspora....👍
Keep going. There is a reason why the current leadership likes our system. Keeps them rich and in power. A weak leader can always be purchased.

Damn👌
Well constructed, Vusi the disruptor
Vusi’s articulacy is mind-tickling!
Dankie bhuda. Wish we had More people like you. You're that older brother the black youth has been missing🙌
This one is to be downloaded and played millions of times till my head understands

as a young Motswana with a South African heritage, I don't care if I have never lived longterm in SA but this hits hard real hard cos I'm a black African first and I know this same oppression happens in Botswana but we find a way to brush it under the rug and pretend everything is normal
Vusi the insight in the content of your videos is extremely empowering, similar to Malcom X. Ugade bangakubulali cos our government is all about having power over the people not about leading us to a better country
So many gems in this video!
Bra VT 👏reya leboga ngwaneshu keep on enlightening and inspiring us👌
Powerful! Love your research 🤯😍🤓
Yes Vusi! God bless you always! Well said!👍🏽🙏🏽
Eish. You telling the truth sir.
This message hits home. It was much needed. Thank you Mr Thembekwayo.
Very insightful information, i did not know a lot of the stuff you talked about. it's about time I included content about our history in my readings
Solid thoughts, solid delivery
As insightful as usual. You rock man.
Thanks Brother. Another gem for keeps!!
And in the meantime, our government is introducing social grants for unemployed youth... Eish!!
This ANC is hell--bent on having a welfare state not to ask questions.
Real talk we need more of this
Show us the way, we will show you the results. Dankie Mr Vusi!
Learning every time I listen to your video...
My inspiration man ever. Please send me the name of the BOOK of the three constructs townships, industry,CBD and suburbs...this talk is making me think deeply

Great Mavusana

Imagine being from Kenya and wishing you were in South Africa. Then you hear Vusi.
you should do more of these videos. very uplifting
Imagine brother. The time it took to achieve that.
