    • @karthiknkamath
      @karthiknkamath 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Even if you not feeling starvation, it's not good for you to fast for 18 hours.. when you are having early dinner it's ok to have breakfast at around 9:30 am-10 am. You are easily fasting for 15-16 hours. If you starve for so long it might be problem in future. Brain is the first organ which notice this, carbs is absolutely necessary for brain functioning. You'll get irritated easily etc. Telling this because I am nutrition student.

    • @karthiknkamath
      @karthiknkamath 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mangalgaikwad1080 you should calculate by the dry weight. Like for example, if you take 100 grams of uncooked rice, there'll be 28 grams of carbohydrates in that. That way you must have minimum 120 grams of carbs per day. And remember even dal(lentils), legumes etc. are not purely protein, even they have carbohydrates. So, you no need to consider just rice or flour for as your carb source, and eat too much of just rice or chapati to fulfill that 120 grams.

    Awesome video! No one is an exception in the world and everybody has to face the temptation to food. Its great that some people have good genetics and get by eating / drinking anything with a good workout at the end of the day to stay healthy and fit. Sadly I am not in that category and my daughter always tells me "Mom, watch what you eat, you can never outrun a bad diet!" That is so true in my case. I love salads especially Greek Salad (all time favorite!, big bowl of Greek Salad, small Avocado toast and a small bowl of soup with tofu is a meal for me!). when I feel down because I cant have the junk food(white potatoes, high carb bread) I like, I simply walk to the "farthest" smoothie place and have a low carb high protein fruit smoothie! and that does it for me!
    Keep making more videos like this! I will be swayed by temptation every now and then but then watching your videos, can help to overcome temptation to unhealthy food!

And it can be consumed in so many different ways: Plain curd, raita with veggies, butter milk, with granola or seeds!

    Hey Dr. Pal, I appreciate your suggestions and have started implementing them for myself. It has been helping in improving quality of my life. Thanks a ton!
    Now, I am thinking about how can I implement it in my family. I have a two year old. The first problem with 7 pm dinner for my daughter is that she does not eat much as compared to meal at 8:30 or 9 pm. Secondly, she feels hungry if she has a lighter meal at 7. So we end up feeding her milk/oat-meal later at night just before bed (9:30 pm). So, what would dinner time/adjustments would you recommend for young kids/toddlers?
    Right now my family is following two lifestyles - one for adults (myself and my spouse) to have early dinner and another for my 2 year old. And I am worried that this might not last long.

      that's great step...would suggest to keep continuing with it and keep track of the practice with changes in timings so as to figure out what suits best for your little one...also let your baby get adjust to a routine,sometimes we just need be with patience and give time to others to adjust and accept...Hope this helps you and happy parenting...!!

      Make it a lifestyle choice...start eating at 10 am and don't eat after 6pm. Try to avoid sugary foods in the evening time including fruits as well. Walk 10k steps everyday...within a short time you will loose weight gradually.

    Thank you Dr.Pal for all of your advice.. Have been following you for some months now.. Appreciate your sense of humour and of course all the information about gut bacteria etc..
    Sir, my teenage son had been struggling with H Pylori since some months and has lost weight. He could finally withstand the antibiotics course and seems to have kicked the bacteria out.. But he hasn't been gaining weight and still has acidity in spite of a 14 day course of probiotics..Could you kindly suggest any specific supplements or foods for his weight gain and also for future prevention of pylori..
    Regards and Best wishes from Mumbai..

    Love your videos. It has helped many of us to be mindful of our eating habits and lifestyle. Would appreciate if you could make a video on how to have a healthy lifestyle during night shifts. People with dynamic shifts like nurses and journalists (me being one) face difficulty to avoid eating after 7 pm during night shifts which lasts for about 3-6 weeks.

    Dear Dr.Pal,I thoroughly enjoy your impactful videos and seek your guidance on incorporating intermittent fasting into my routine as a pure vegetarian. Some well-wishers have expressed concerns about the challenge of obtaining sufficient protein compared to non-vegetarians. Despite my efforts to include seeds in homemade black urad dal laddos, daily chutneys, gravies, etc., they suggest that inadequate protein might lead to our cells extracting protein from muscles, resulting in muscle loss. Could you please clarify this concern? Additionally, while you frequently emphasize the importance of protein, I am curious about the adequacy of calcium intake for vegetarians. I use to include curd, buttermilk, various millet varieties in dosas, pongal, and occasionally in porridge. Is this sufficient, or should I focus more on calcium-rich foods?
    I appreciate your insights and guidance.
    Best regards ,from Kirhiga- chennai

    Makhana are really expensive, avacados too little expensive here in India, so it's not financially convenient for common middle class people of India. Better to have millets roti instead of wheat,and rice.

    Nowadays young girls to women are more affected by PCOD. They are struggling without getting proper solution. I think you can give them solutions and good advice through your videos. I request you to mention the diet chart plan for pcod.
    I would like to see you and your family at least once in my lifetime if I get a chance.
    Also want to say, your humor ( comedy😂😅) is very good. Keep rocking sir...
