Hello friends, I apologize for the error in the year mentioned at 1:07-it was carelessly written as 2024 instead of 2014. Carman was cancer-free in 2014. I deeply regret this mistake and take full responsibility for it. I sincerely apologize and will do my best to avoid such errors in the future.
I loved Carman gospel music since when I was a kid and even sung one of his song "Lord of all" when we had a church anniversary event back then. Carman and the rest of the of the personalities who gone too soon truly left a legacy to us in southern gospel music and a heritage of faithfulness to God.
I know. I just lost my mother Dec. 3, 2024. 77 years old. But it was so sudden & unexpected. We are still grieving, but I know she is healthy & well with Jesus & all the other believers that passed away before.
God's faithfulness sustains His beloved through so many mountains and valleys! He really leads His dear children along🎉... some through the fire...but God gives the song...all the day long! Keep on the firing line, brethren!
Oh how I praise the Lord. watching this today. I thank the Lord for all of these have going on to be with the Lord and that I will be in heaven with them along with our Savior. I look forward to that day. Oh to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord forever and ever
I called in to a local radio station and requested the song that Carmen and CeCe Winans sang together and then radio announcer said she had never heard of Carmen! It broke my heart.
That’s sad. Carman’s songs are very profound and have been sung all over the world, including The Champion, I Got the Joy, Revival in the Land, Sunday’s on the Way, and many more. He was deeply dedicated to gospel music, earning four Grammy nominations and selling over 10 million records. I guess people who don’t listen to much gospel music might not have heard about Carman.
I watched that show everytime it came on I njoy the songs and saw so memmber coming and going a lot of their faces I remmber but Nelons was the hardest losing any memmber is hard but the Nelons took the cake that was so sad
Thanks for your input. Doesn't matter. Jason became their Father. Jerry was long gone, but they still loved him, as children should. It all worked out in the end.
@@ronshawver6880Jerry Thompson was Amber and Autumn’s father. Not Jason. Jason was like 15 years old when Amber was born. Give credit where credit is due. Jason was their step father, but they still had a relationship with Jerry before he died.
@@dianamarsden1933I’m not sure how much of a relationship they had with him, as both Amber & Autumn use Nelon and not Thompson as their maiden name, and I have both refer to Jason as their dad.
I know what I'm about to say is a sensitive topic for a lot of people, but it's important to tell the truth, especially since we're in the last days and the deceptions are going to be great. The dead don't go straight to heaven or hell. They're in their grave awaiting the first or second resurrection, but hopefully the first resurrection because that's for the saints.
I also believe that that when our life on earth is done, we do not go directly to heaven. That I understand is in the rapture. Could you please direct me to the Biblical references of the first and second resurrection? Thank you and God bless.
@@KathiKing-m8wHi. God tells us how to study the bible....line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little. (Isaiah 28:10) We're not to take one scripture and make a whole doctrine out of it. There are many scriptures that show the dead know nothing. They're in their graves awaiting their resurrection, either of the saved or the condemned. The bible teaches that hell doesn't exist right now but will exist after the saints have been resurrected and have lived in heaven for 1000 years, then the wicked will be resurrected and God will bring fire down and devour them - the wicked and hell will be destroyed. Here are just a few scriptures that prove the dead are not in heaven or hell right now: Revelation 20, John 5:28-29, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, John 14:1-3.

Love Carmen's patriotic song, "We need God in America Again". An absolute Masterpiece ❤️🇺🇸

A wonderful tribute to these great gospel performers.
Their contribution to gospel music is amazing they had left a legacy to the other generation.
watched all the Gaither video's and remember all these singers. May they always R.I.P. with our Lord.
