They want it more difficult?! I just want a match available within driving distance every month. There’s probably 90% of the US where matches aren’t even available within an hour.

I love it that Vortex sponcer you're show I watch you every night, and am learning a lot about a lot of different aspects of shooting, the NRL & the NRL/22XL,,so I'm going to get me another 22Lr bolt action,,& but I'm moving from GA to South Dakota and now I'll be able to use my Savage 110 338Lapua magnum in a MDT,LSS XL chassie and I've got a silencer on it to and can shoot Long distances with it too!!, the only thing we'll a couple of things, one I'm still learning to convert moa to Mills, and that's what they taught me in the army back in the early 80's they hadn't converted over to tracking Mills ,but I'm learning how to convert it in my head, but I'm worried about buying a scope for my 338Lapua magnum I still like moa,but the reason I'm having a problem here is my 338LM I'll use it for matches yes but I'll be also using it for long range hunting as well , I'm guessing I'll have to invest in two different scopes right??

Shot my first match last weekend. I found out the night before, had no DOPE, zero had to move from 100 to 50 the morning of, etc. I got it close enough to not place last. Lots of fun, really nice people willing to help. Can’t speak highly enough of the program.

NRL22 is very addictive. Easy to get into and will soon require a second mortgage on your house. 😂. I started with a Tikka last spring and am now putting together a Vudoo. 🤷🏻‍♂️

.22 X matches, I noticed depending on the courses / stages of fire different rifles are used. Such as 10/22's different rifles are used to type format of the stage. Awesome...
    for steel challenge type stages.

My new shooters…not really scared of other calibers…but maybe a little “uncomfortable” shooting the heavier calibers past .22LR…need to “work up” to a higher level a little at a time…this has been my training experience with my younger/new shooters…it’s been a very positive experience for them and me especially going from .22LR to the 5.56 if they understand the difference between the recoil and noise…it’s what you expect in the transition between the two and your reaction between the two calibers…you might be surprised with the transmission if you do your part making the difference easier to adapt to…I do love me some cat butt/tail 🥰🥰🥰 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛!!!

Hey Mike - it more than likely wouldn't prohibit you, but some stages may be tough or need to be altered. We would recommend reaching out to the local match director to see what there thoughts are on a specific match or course. You can find local matches here: practiscore.com/

How many people do NLR22/22x with single shot rifles? I think it would be cool to make a precision 1895 low wall. Wouldn't Single shot rifles be slightly more accurate than a bolt action since you can gently place the cartridge into the chamber where with a bolt action, the action can scrape the bullet? (Or does that not even matter?)

@@mississippiponderosa8530 Right? I can only assume, but I imagine the barrel is at least another $800, the scope is easily over $1,000, and the stock idk. It looked like a Bergara stock to me at first glance, so it might be a take off from another rifle of his and cost him nothing. Or it could be something else entirely and another $1,000. I can't imagine dropping all that money in a 22lr.
