    Hey man it might not be perfect out of the gate, but you got a working PC on your first try. If you want to take up some of the dead space at the bottom of the board you could vertically mount the GPU, that would cover a lot of that dead space below the motherboard. I done that once with a MATX board in a montech case and it came out looking really good. If you decide to Lian li makes a killer vertical mount that fits most mid and full size cases, it would definitely fit yours. Cheers and well done young man!

    I believe that grey substance on your hand is the build in thermal paste from your aio. You should definitely check it. That thermal paste is one of the important component between your CPU and the cooler. Without it the CPU can easily overheat and potentialy damaged it.

    0:43 you dont have to install the CPU first. I see a lot doing that and it is not an official rule, they just do it out of excitement to put the CPU in the socket. The most efficient way is to start from the back/bottom (wherever your case PSU goes, route your cables first. 99% if the "tutorials" i have seen online do it the opposite way, then they encounter issues trying to route cables and/or they get stressed out to do cable management after.

    VERMAX! This video is actually super helpful, I have been recently looking at building a computer, instead of playing on my school laptop, instead of the 5600, I decided to go for the Ryzen 5 3600, as its super good for the price, and I also got a used graphics card, its a 1650 super! - so watching this video honestly made me feel even more motivated, to put in the work, get money and complete my build.

    wonderful job for your first build! you have great potential. like you have addressed in the video that you had to compromise performance for asthetics (and thats totally okay!).
    One piece of advice is that the 5600 draws so little power that a regular cpu air cooler should sufficiently provide cooling. but you can keep the AIO for future upgrades of course!

    Very impressive! Congratulations on building you first pc. I love the enthusiasm in your build and I can tell you like to favor looks and appeal. Personally I am the same. I remember building my first pc and It was frightening at first but once you get a feel for what your doing then its a smooth ride the rest of the way. However, there is some things I would recommend for your next build. If you are going for a budget build, favor the best bang for the buck and don’t go for unnecessary things that will hog money for more important parts. I think that the 5600 is acceptable and Im running a 5600x and they are work horses but it may have been smart to spend the extra $15-30 dollars for the “x” model that has a little more performance. I think that the motherboard could have been a little better quality but it will be good enough for what you want. The thing that really bugs me is you running a AIO in your system. I think that it looks amazing but Its a little unnecessary and the money used for that could have been put towards a larger ssd or better GPU. All in all I think that for what you are using it for it will be good enough if thats what you want and maybe consider shopping around and poking your nose into different styles that will fit your taste but will give you best performance

    • @7tra
      @7tra ปีที่แล้ว

      no point in getting the x you nly get 0.1 ghz more

  • @sjneow
    @sjneow ปีที่แล้ว +5

    For a newbie an AIO is a lot more complicated than an air cooler, with air cooler you only need to mount it to the motherboard and connect one fan, the fan clips on the heatsink so there is no screws for that, and there is usually only one way to orient it for AMD system.
    With AIO in addition to that you need to connect at least two fans plus the pump, and mount them to the radiator with screws, and you need to think of where to mount them in the case and orientation

    • @GeneralS1mba
      @GeneralS1mba 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i think a good air cooler is good as it is cheaper and less likely to break

    @davidgomez5116 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    There are 3 sizes of motherboards ergo cases that you can get. Theres atx, mini atx and micro, in that order from largest to smallest. Also depending on the size of each component... your graphics card might be too large, your cpu cooler/fan could run into your ram cards or if its too tall your case, and if your using a liquid cooler the radiator it might not fit in the case either. All depends. Sometimes its best to look at other builds to get an idea of what works good together. Nzxt has a cool beginner build kit I'd recommend for well... beginners. It comes with a picture book and all the pieces you need, plus the picture book reminds me of those Lego books you get when you get a new Lego kit. Plus the finished product always looks totally rad.

      Yeah he wasted the budget on it he also when much in the cpu bcs the ryzen 5600 it's overkill for a 1660 and a ryzen 5 3600 can easily handle it and just invest into a better graphics card and the ryzen 5 5600 don't run that much hot and the cooler within the box is better than intel so he wasted his money on the AIO and the cpu and idk bcs he's only doing gamming not productivity tasks so the r5 3600 will be the best choice and he choose aesthetics for. The ram and man he choose a 3000Mhz bruh

    kinda of perfect balance for a first time build, great value build that looks great, you definitely got the most bang for your buck, and im sure it will play anything out there just fine . The water cooler is likely over kill for a 5500, and might of gone with a single 16 gb 3200 RAM, (but wouldn't have looked nearly as good), and 1660 super used is the best performance for the money today by far . My first build had 4rth gen support everything except for the 5600G cpu, so it was 100$ extra wasted basically,, cause the 5600G doesn't support 4th gen

    Congrats on first build! A couple of issues I see is with the motherboard. First the motherboard is pcie 3, which is not a big deal with that video card or the Wi-Fi you got but will be an issue with newer cards. Also the motherboard does not have a 12v RGB header so you can’t use the RGB on the AIO, and yes the AIO is over kill for that but you got it for aesthetics so its fine. The other issue with your build is the RAM 3000hz is not the best for Ryzen 3600hz is better and the price difference is quite small, reason is that ram speed controls infinity fabric speed. Also don’t think you enable the profile on the RAM so its not even going 3000hz if you did not. You may have just skipped that on the video though.

    Most people don't understand its not necesarily about video games. Instead its about the planning buying building process, theres a Zen and an Esoterism to going thru the process, it raises your morale and self esteem, kinda like mechanics and working on ur bicycle motorcycle car truck. Theres a great satisfaction after its up and running. And then you want to do another one, and another, and another, into Infinity and Beyond! 😂 LOL

    I have the same case. If you put the aio on top with the fans on the inside and then get 2 fans for the front that are RGB, it will make a big difference in appearance. The small motherboard problem does suck though. Even if you got a better one, you'd essentially have to completely rebuild the PC... Judging by your recent videos though, it looked like you went from this to something much more expensive though already.

    Nice bro, for christmas i actually got a pc too, it was my first one ever. And guess what, you have the exact same specs as me, except i got a different motherboard and i used the wraith stealth cooler that came in the cpu box, so far the pc has been amazing. I built it with my uncle, i hope you have a good time with that pc and it gets the performance that you are hoping for.

    Heads up. The NZXT H1 is on sale for half off right now at Best Buy. I’ve personally built a rig with this case and it’s the easiest case to build in. No cable management, it comes with a power supply built in, and you can access it from every side.
    I wouldn’t build a super high powered rig in it but up to like a 3070/3080/6600xt/6700xt paired with a mid range cpu. It’s perfect.

    The fans on the aio will have a 4 pin fan cable (goes into the motherboard as a chassis or cpu fan) and a 3 pin ARGB header. This will go into the motherboard header labeled ARGB. Should bea long the bottom of the board. Happy to answer any other questions you have.

      Okay, and this is why a lot of people should remain silent thinking that they're "helping" others and just causing more confusion with misinformation.
      This is a cheap MSI A520M-A Pro budget motherboard that only have a 1x 24-pin ATX main power connector & 1x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector with NO ARGB header or +5V Add_Header to connect his Enermax ARGB 3-pin connector. He must either get a fan controller or a new motherboard with the headers that he needs. Do your research before making a comment!

    Its like lego blocks. Super easy. Get all of your components out of its bag except screws. Label and put all screws aside. Make sure all of your components are on its anti static bag it came with.
    Start with the power supply. Notice all plugs are color coordinated that is adjacent to your motherboard. Go ahead and put a antistatic band and take psu and plug it up into the motherboard
    Then take your ram and gpu and plug it into your motherboard. Read all instructions and directions pamphlets to all of your components mostly the installing section, especially for your cpu. The cpu has an arrow that should be adjacent towards the arrow on the socket of the motherboard. Most fans come with pre installed thermal paste but if not dash just a little on the cpu or the cpu cooling heatsink which is the metal part under the fan of the cpu. Then plug in that cpu.
    The ram is the easiest. If will have a long dim which are the pins and a smaller section of pins, make sure those align the same way the mother board is in. Long then short. Afterwards take your gpu and put it into the pci slot. Some force maybe needed because it is new but do not put to much force. Then plug all adjacent colors into each of the motherboard sockets including the gpu which needs a 6 pin and sometimes an 8 pin molex pci. Which the psu most likely will come with. Sometimes its a 6 pin with 2 extra pins thats detached or sometimes it could be a whole 8 pin connector that you could attach straight into the psu. This is what you call a molex psu and these are the psu's you should be looking out for and getting. Especially if its rated bronze and up. Use newegg wattage calculator to determine which psu wattage you will need before purchasing. Plug in all molex adapters thats only needed. Once everything is plugged in (WITHOUT) the atx case plug it into your monitor or tv or whatever output you are using. Once the bios load this is a gooooood sign. What this is called is posting. Which means that most major components in your computer does not need an rma and is functioning properly. Now uninstall everything except for the cpu and the cpu heat sink. Take the motherboard and install it into chassis with the appropriate screw and use the appropriate screw driver to insure you do not strip the screws, most mobo uses proprietary screws which means if one is lost or damaged you will have to reach out directly to the manufacture for replacements. After you have screwed the motherboard, install the psu unit and all molex cords thats needed. Do not forget to install any satas you will need. If you need 2 ssd or maybe 1 ssd and a hdd, make sure you have 2 sata controllers installed into the psu. Once the psu screwed in and all molex adaptors are secured take your ram and install them.
    After that, take your gpu and install it into the chassis. Make sure ....

    And this why I prefer laptops to desktops, I don’t play super demanding games and a gaming laptop is good enough and doesn’t need hours of research for you to be able to use it. Gaming desktops are also more expensive in my country especially if you buy the parts separately, you would need AT LEAST 5k$ to get one with the best specs. The best gaming laptops here are usually between 2k-3k$. The pre-built options are even more expensive and always come with the slower graphic cards so it’s really not worth it

    I’m not trying to be picky but there’s some things you should of done different
    First off the ram, Corsair ram really isn’t good for the price and has also had some problems with not being compatible with some things and if you want ram with rgb I’d recommend going with team group
    Also with the cpu cooler you went wayyy overkill getting a aio which all the 5600 really needs is like a ak400 or like one the Id cooling ones because that extra money could of gone to the gpu
    4:36
    And speaking of the gpu you should not of gone with a 1660 it would have been MUCH better if you would of gotten a 6700xt which are only 350$ and sometimes beat 3070’s
    Something else is the case it probably would of been smarter to go with the g360a or ck560 because you already get 3 pre installed fans for 100$ or the Ck560 coming with 4 pre installed for 90 but the h5 flow is fine if you really want it
    And with the money you could of saved from the aio you could have gotten a better motherboard because that 100$ could of gone a long way towards motherboards and wasn’t really a good idea to get one that only has 2 ram slots because it can prevent upgrading in the future
    And last thing is the ssd you could of gotten a mp33 for 50$ with some of the budget because it’s only like 15-20$
    But that’s just me just giving some advice :)
