Keep trying to remember an episode where they lost the troutbridge and came back on some old clunker of a ship, I will find it one day! Lol . Fantastic show, one of the best radio comedy's ever made! :)
Possibly... Series 15, Episode 01 - Sequel to the Talpinium Shell (blurb from the booklet) In the aftermath of the talpinium shell test, Mr Murray, CPO Pertwee and Sub-Lieutenant Phillips find themselves lost in the lonely Atlantic Ocean fog in a small rubber dinghy. Back at Portsmouth, Vice Admiral Percy Belter arrives from the MOD to detail Captain Povey to determine the fate of HMS Troutbridge. But also... I think I also remember an episode where they went to Potarneyland and left Troutbridge there
@@blastsfromthepast2102 I find it a bit ironic that a British Navy Captain was removing clinker from his coal fired heating boiler. I understand a coal fired steam tug boat appeared a lot in the series. I understand that the Royal Navy converted their steam ships from coal to oil a few years after WW1.
@@eliotreader8220 I'm not sure - maybe she would wait till Henry got home and make him do it all then - or he wouldnt get his Ramona-paid-for baked bean :)
Great Radio show never missed a episode
Wow I heard worzel gummidge! I loved Jon Pertwee as that scarecrow
Worzel Gummidge? Surely you mean Doctor Who?
Jon Pertwee played both Doctor Who (the third Doctor) and Worzel Gummidge. His cousin was Bill Pertwee who was ARP warden Hodges in Dad's Army.

@@blastsfromthepast2102 I guess Ramona had to remove the clinker from their central heating boiler herself when the Captain went out to the dock yard
I am guessing that the sauce pan melted because it had boiled dry?
