How pathetic and laughable is Sunak, trying to sound all statesman like and serious but he is like a sulky mummy's boy who didn't get his own way. Well done George Galloway - you stand tall WAY above these clowns.
Like previous "Prime Ministers", he's a salesman who travels periodically to Ukraine and Israel with his weapons catalog to get new sales orders.....and frequently his customers make demands of him if he wants to continue getting orders or they may takke their trade to another supplier...
I will never vote for Tories and Labour has lost my vote for life . I will vote for individuals who possess integrity and will defend our democratic values. Not those who have sold our country to Terrorists states such as Israel
Integrity like Galloway? “If you are asking did I support the Soviet Union, yes I did. Yes, I did support the Soviet Union, and I think the disappearance of the Soviet Union is the biggest catastrophe of my life.“ (George Galloway) I better do not want to know what people like you understand under "integrity"....

I really like George Galloway. He speaks the facts as they are, stands up for human rights, charismatic, and is down to earth. This is what we need in the UK.
Stands up for human rights, like anti abortion, anti gay and anti feminist. Sure, he’s right when it comes to imperialism, but that’s not a high bar for a socialist, that’s the minimum entry requirement 😑
He's also a homophobe at the worst or getting radicalised in his old age into anti-woke hokey-pokey grifting at best. He could have been a great politician if he'd had a party to help him stay relevant and train him on terminology and messaging.

I love the way the 'New Labour' candidate walked of the stage almost immediately after George Galloway started his acceptance speech. That is indicative of 'New Labour's complete contempt for the electorate of Rochdale and the democratic process.
The Labour candidate, Azhar Ali, did not even attend the count. I'm not sure who walked off the stage, possibly one of the independents, but it definitely wasn't Azhar Ali.

Galloway criticized the behavior not the person doing it. But Bastani tried to misrepresent what Galloway said. Like if you criticize alcohol consumption behavior and say I don’t want my kids to be taught that drinking is the norm. Then someone claims that you said people who drink alcohol are not normal. Galloway doesn’t think that people are different types . He thinks they’re all the same but have different behaviors. And he said he would respect them even if he doesn’t identify with their behavior.
@@nisahmed9121 No-one is misrepresenting what Galloway said, anyone that has watched the full interview knows this is deeply problematic what Galloway expresses here and all the negative reaction to this he has brought on himself. Aclohol is a drug that is responsible for a significant amount of harm right across society, not at all comparable to people being gay and the stigma surrounding that. There is hard science on sexuality, we don't have to rely yet again on what some older white men think. What Galloway is arguing is that he doesn't want a nuanced understanding of the topic of drugs in society being taught. And sexuality isn't a behaviour or a choice as such, it is very clearly who a person is and what they are.
I watched the whole 2 hours interview with Novara Media. I've seen the context. Now can I say that that the extended discussion on the matter just solidifies the views he expresses in the clip? The victimism is insane.
You watched it with blinkers on. The use of the word ‘normal’ is as ‘typical’ and the conversation about how he voted to legalise homosexuality at 16 not how Novara Media presented it. And you have also neglected the agenda outside the interview.

The blinkers here are very much the ones you are wearing. He had every opportunity to clarify what he meant.

Galloway, when he asked if he meant normal as in typical, said no, he didn't. Typical means the same thing as common in this context, and he rejected that term. He therefore, did not mean 'common'. He very clearly meant gay relationships are not normal. Not 'uncommon'. Why aren't you interested in what's true? Do you owe this guy money or something? Some of you in these comments reek of a cult of personality quite frankly. It's utterly clear what he said and meant - he fucking clarified exactly what he meant! Normal is a pejorative, and if you don’t think so you’re being wilfully blind. I have long supported Galloway and always defended him against accusations of homophobia, but this is totally beyond the pale. And far from NM stitching him up, bastani tried to give him an out by saying do you mean typical - which is factual and accurate, as gay people are a minority - but Galloway doubled down and said no I mean normal. He doesn’t fall into the category of Williamson or Corbyn, whose comments were twisted with total mendacity to undermine and marginalise them; GG said what he said and it’s highly instructive to watch the whole thing, because his case is not only offensive, it’s utterly illiterate - he voted for same sex marriage and same sex adoption but he wants it taught that neither are normal? @MeleanDialogue I don't think Galloways quotes were out of context. GG is a social conservative, as are many around the country who also identify as Working Class. I watched the whole interview. It was clear what he said and he was given ample opportunity to elaborate and clarify exactly what he meant. He repeatedly said “normal” in a way that clearly implies that homosexual marriages are not normal. Bastion tries to help him by suggesting words like “typical” as a synonym and he rejected them, knowing full well what he was doing and saying. His claim that this is a matter of working class semantics is pathetic. He’s a bright guy and a great orator. We are what we are. He clearly retains some social conservative views that clash with his more liberal outlook in some areas. Or he’s grifting to his constituents. The “some if my mates are gay” doesn’t wash in the same way it doesn’t for race. George reminds me of some of my dad’s co workers in the printing factory (big up printers union). All left wing until it came to gays and “coloureds”. When they were suddenly bigoted and full of hate.
Cracking interview by Bastani. In the interview George did say that they are not normal and are not equal. Bastani tried to help him clarify saying you mean they're not typical? and Galloway said no I mean they are not normal. Spin it all you like George but thats what you said.

Galloway was speaking about family structure. Remember in Ireland we just had a referendum where the Irish government was trying to include 'durable relationships' in the Irish constitution. Example 1. A couple married for decades, man has affair, man dies. Then mistress entitled to equal share of man's estate. 2. Islam allows men to have 4 wives. Muslim man gains Irish citizenship. Then brings 4 wives +all his children to Ireland. Former Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) Dr. Garrett Fitzgerald who battled Thatcher said the Christian structure of family was the best for society. Not perfect, but best outcomes.
I'm not sure anyone stiched GG up. He willingly agreed to the interview, and he then volunteered the information that came out. GG's opined about his views on LBGTQ issues, and Bastani then moved along that line of questioning. If GG did not want these views aired, he should have been more circumspect. He is an extremely well versed politician and admits during the interview that everything he says is 'on the record'. Also, of course they will promote an interview scoop. All the downstream interviews are promoted on Novara, as any media organisation does. They can't be responsible for how others report this. GG has many good policies, but I would not vote for someone with his social and climate views.
The point galloway made was when it was aired. Not what he said per se. Bastani and novara were asked not to air the interview before local election. They promised to him they will not do it. What did they do? They have aired a small part of it just a day before the local election. Dont know about you but breaking a promise is evil and that was devious. If they did not agree they could have negotiated with the interviewee, Galloway. They didn't. This is my take away and i am disgusted.
Maybe if GG didn't want the interview aired before the elections, he should have given it afterwards. It would not have mattered then. I'm not sure it made much of a difference anyway, as his party did pretty good in them. We don't know what agreement was made between GG and Novara on the release of any clips, but Novara are a media organisation, and they will promote a controversial interview as would GG for his MOATS show. Don't get me wrong, there's lots I disagree with Novara on, but GG needs to own his comments and how they would be perceived by a great many people. He likes to talk about his Catholicism, but omits that getting divorced and remarried is against RC teaching, even once, and GG has done it several times.

AB gave GG plenty of opportunities to define or qualify “normal” in that section of the interview. The clip in no way misrepresents the views that GG proposed in the fuller, broadcast version - it is, in fact a pretty good summation of his position. That’s what trailers do. Get over it!

‘Let me be clear about something. I was a pioneer of Gay Rights in the British Parliament long before ‘rainbows’ were prevalent, And long before many of them now waving them were prepared to touch the issue. I love gay people, some of my best friends and colleagues, over many years, have been gay. I have had gay people living in my house with me over many years. So nothing I am about to say is in any sense sourced in any kind of homophobia from me. I believe that everyone’s personal behaviour is their own business. God will be our judge in this and all things, and it’s not for me or you, or anyone else, to judge who other people sleep with and what they do just before they close their eyes.’ - George Galloway - MOATS - 25.11.22
Mr. Galloway is a breath of fresh air.He expresses his opinion and belief. He may not represent all, but I believe that he certainly represents the vast majority. Mr. Bastani may, by his disingenuous behaviour, cost himself dearly whilst at the same time, elevating G.G amongst the masses.
I despise bastani now. I really really liked him. I watched tsky sour for years. They were also awful about Russell brand as well. They went all hog with the hate band wagon when he was accused by faceless women. They did not even tey to play the devil's advocate. I lost respect that day. But i still liked bastani. I now feel terrible even watching them. They agreed with Galloway abd promised him that the interview was going to air after local election. Then they decide to cut the bits galloway says children shouldn't be sexualised at such young age. Then he answers to bastani why he thinks it is wrong. He said kids ahould be able to learn what a normal family is made of such as father and mother. Gay and trans came from a father and a mother. A trans did not come from two trans men or women. So he used the word normal to differentiate that. Also why pick on the only true hardworking anti war and anti gino side guy that has all the media against him including all uk parties and prime minister??? I now think novara are fake. Few things about the interview. No.1. The vast majority of it was perfect. No.2. It was spun to be a completely homophobic rant. It wasn't No.3. George was very supportive of the gay community generally in the interview No. 4. I heard a straight opinion on a very divisive subject that attracks strong opinions on both sides. Like it or loath his opinion, at least we know it. For any MP that rants at him over this, lets hear THEIR opinion. Lets watch THEM skirt around it and attempt to appease everyone by naff triangulation of a nothing subject in the grand scheme of things.
Agreed. I don't get why people think they must agree 100% with people like GG when the most important thing is to get the tories out and at least shackle labour rather than once again rewarding liars with our votes and a massive majority.
He literally said homosexual was not normal, he was given the out of saying "not typical" but doubled down. The man is right on a few things but he is a nasty right winger on many others. Oh and he has previously admitted to voting Tory in 2019 iirc.
No they didn't . I have a lot of criticism of NM especially over anti- semitism in the Labour Party . But this was George being honest and honestly wrong . That's all .
Nope, he was honestly right. Now, off to woke island with you before the majority of the population contaminate your feelings. And ....I suspect you, in actuality, have little criticism for Novara at all.
7:54 Galloway demeans himself by crying foul here. I watched the whole interview and that clip was absolutely consistent and in context. He might not like that his very conservative Catholic views aren't very popular away from the pews, but that is just tough.
I also watched the whole interview I disagree with you. I think Novara should have included the part where he corrected himself changing the word equal to normal. George is all for equal rights for gay people. He said in the interview that he voted for gay marriage and allowing gay people to have families. I'm a regular watcher of Novara Media and I was surprised that so much of the interview was based on his views of homosexuality when that isn't what affects most people's everyday lives.
@@Sarah_in_London I agree that they spent too long on this topic. I wish Aaron had gone into Galloway's climate denial because that is far more important. On the cultural stuff, it was clear by the end that Galloway has the same problem as everyone else who brings their religious dogma into their politics. They don't know when to apply it (abortion) and when you ignore it (gay marriage). I am an ex Catholic. I honestly think I know exactly how Galloway is thinking because I used to be very similar. I used to argue against things like gay adoption, despite empirical evidence that the kids do as well or better than average. I used to argue against assisted dying despite knowing nothing about the suffering which can make it the right thing to do (regrettably something I understand all too well now). My point is that I think it's important that people understand that Galloway is importing a lot of very regressive and illiberal religious dogma into his politics, and they may well want to temper their support for him accordingly.
Love the fact that Kier goes out saying that they won't tolerate people suggesting that antisemitism in the labour party was exaggerated... despite the report he commissioned concluded exactly that.. and this guy has kicked out more Jewish members than any other leader..
What George said was uncharacteristically maladroit, but it does beg the question of where destigmatisation of gay relationships slips into promotion. Like George, I have zero interest in the sexlives of consenting adults, but I also find it deeply inappropriate that other adults, online or in the classroom, seem to have some prurient interest in my child's gender or sexuality. It cuts both ways.
It’s ridiculous and a desperate attempt to stop the Working Party and it’s message . How many times does GG have to say there is a difference between teaching /forming children and adults ? How many times has GG said he has no beef with LGBT people and does not believe they should be discriminated against or disrespected. Sadly Novara Media has been showing their mask of late.
In the full interview GG outright says the gays aren’t normal. AB tries to correct him asking if he means not typical as then he would agree with what was being said. GG then emphasised he meant not normal. This is GG’s own doing and he should just apologise for getting muddled in the interview, as he is clearly walking back on it now anyway.
@@garycannon2887 The word normal has multiple definitions . I would argue the most commonly used dictionary definition is meaning the average ,the standard or the default . Homosexuality bisexuality transgenderism is not the norm by any metric of measure . That is simply factual. Normal does not usually by itself have a value judgement attached . Yes unfortunately there are many folks who want to use normal to include a value judgement of good or preferred. If someone says that it is normal that human beings engage in war which is true I would certainly not assume they mean war is good or better than peace .
@@garycannon2887I see because they're equating normal with "good/acceptable" - but that's not what normal means. Normal is not a moral judgment, it's just the default state of being, the most common. People are misunderstanding that big time because they, as most of us subconsciously do (though it's ironic to see the more progressive left take this view), view normal as good and not normal as bad. It is not good or bad to be heterosexual, but that is what is normal. Again it's not a moral judgement, but the most common state of being - the one that is most likely to be the answer if you guess what someone is at random.

Galloway, when he asked if he meant normal as in typical, said no, he didn't.

@@celienat9369 he did. He said gay relationships are not normal. I know some Galloway bootlickers are finding a distinction between ‘gay people aren’t normal’ and ‘gay relationships aren’t normal’, but what’s the difference exactly? It would have been fine. But the foreword about GGs view being dangerous and its early release seems very underhand
They always release previews before premiering the full interview on Sundays.
...right but the stitch up came after in the selection of quotes out of context...also by Novara in their destructive review.
Novara stitched themselves up and showcased their own real nasty side. Goodbye Novara.
@MeleanDialogue I don't think Galloways quotes were out of context. GG is a social conservative, as are many around the country who also identify as Working Class. It's just that their view is articulated so infrequently by 'lefties' that it feels wrong. What GG did effectively - because he was given the time to do so - is to differentiate between Liberals and Working Class politics. I think the interview helps put GG in his own lane, distinct from other Parties- Labour, Greens etc. He should own it, I think.
Nah guys, c'mon, GG had 2 hours, wasn't pressured or antagonised in any way and was even offered by AB to rephrase "normal" and maintained it. No reason to be salty about it other than at himself.

You keep going George! We're all with you! Nuff love!

He clarifies his use of the word ‘normal’ as typical. That’s not the clickbait meaning that Novara put out though, is it? So is peddling a false homophobic quote what you’d call quality journalism?

Few things about the interview.
No.1. The vast majority of it was perfect.
No.2. It was spun to be a completely homophobic rant. It wasn't
No.3. George was very supportive of the gay community generally in the interview
No.
Referring to gay men as “Adam and Steve” doesn’t sound very respectful.
Yep. That was a bit daft to be fair. But in the big picture.... its a nothing subject. Nobody is really interested in the subject. We face WW3.
Agreed. I don't get why people think they must agree 100% with people like GG when the most important thing is to get the tories out and at least shackle labour rather than once again rewarding liars with our votes and a massive majority.

George Galloway has become (not by his own hand) a bête noire of some "independent" media channels. And I congratulate him for it.
Galloway is correct again
Love the fact that Kier goes out saying that they won't tolerate people suggesting that antisemitism in the labour party was exaggerated... despite the report he commissioned concluded exactly that.. and this guy has kicked out more Jewish members than any other leader..
I agree with George. I'm glad someone in the mainstream has come out of the closet and said it!
George Galloway always tells it like it is.
Galloway is right in saying that the jargon used to describe people 's sexuality is propagated by self-appointed pedants of the chatterati.
Mr Galloway is a social conservative. Let teacher’s teach.
It cuts both ways.
saying that a human relationship is normal & equal is not inappropriate .Funny only you mentioned sex
@@garycannon2887that's only his opinion on gays though
@@keithparker1346 yes and that’s what people are taking issue with
@@garycannon2887 The word normal has multiple definitions .
