Can I just say, the sock thing sometimes never goes away... Lol, 30yrs later, I am still picking up socks, but my husband has so many other great qualities that I just smile and pick up the socks. I can say that after 30yrs, I still find something that I love more about my husband every day and he still tells me that there is nothing more he wants to do but to wake and put a smile on my face. So I just love watching you two discover how great your marriage is.
If it isn't Bob our robot vacuum finding my husband's socks some where, it the cats. One time a dang on cup came from under the couch, it was water he was drinking, but somehow it got pushed under the couch. They get into those sports 😂❤️

Soooo many great moments in this vlog!😍😍So, first off thank you for that! It always feels like I’m just catching up with a friend! 1. Your sister in law having to explain to Pia that your wig wasn’t a monster is THE BEST thing ever! 2. Working out consistently will help regulate your sleep cycle, so that hopefully you can sleep at night, BUT you have to find a time that works for you. That is a common mistake when trying to start a routine. We go with what everyone pushes: early morning workout, but that is not everyone’s testimony, bc like you said you don’t have a 9-5 where you HAVE to get up that early. Find a better time that works for YOU, honey….probably noon-ish. Early enough that you’re not waiting around for it, but late enough that you’re already up. 3. Jonathan always sings with his whole chest, and I love that for him. Also, he is soooo wise….like beyond his years. He stay dropping nuggets on us! 4. Lastly, I just had to go to urgent care last week for hearing loss aka excessive wax. My hearing had been going in and out for about two months, but last week it didn’t come back. They did a lavage, where they basically stick a tube down your ear and pump warm water in and let it come out in a little tub….0/10 stars absolutely don’t recommend. It was actually VERY uncomfortable! However, I can now hear “a rat piss on cotton” as my grandmother would say!🤣🤣 I’ll see myself out.🚪

Regarding sleep: get a good amount of sunlight (with no sunglasses) during the day. The sunlight in your eye stimulates melatonin production (why we get so sleepy after the beach).
Jess the same thing happens to my son when he goes swimming. Get you some Swimmers Ear dropping. They at Walmart or CVS etc, always put them in after you go swimming to dry up the water.
Jess, I have the same issue with earwax. Warm water works magic. You just have to spend some time repeating the flushing process. It truly works without hurting your ears. Also you and Jonathan are adorable. Oh and a fun fact. I was re-baptized in July and my wig pompom came off. Jesus has the best sense of humor.

Had to pause the video... sis the socks will still be on the floor. I'm 12 years in and I've learned that if nothing ever changes (meaning small pet peeves), I still whole heartedly love him. I dont know if you have over the ear headphones but if you do go on youtube and look for rain storm storm sound videos. There is one that blacks the screen after 10 seconds. But trying laying down with the sounds playing in the headphones. I have chronic insomnia and this changed my life. The sound of the storm quiets racing thoughts and I knock out. Lol girl you make me laugh so much when I watch your vlogs. You're such a real and authentic soul. In terms of sleeping melatonin gummies work well but if you don't wanna use them camomile helps. It is available in a tea bag form so you can make teas with it if you wanna go the natural route. Some other methods are sleeping with the lights off, taking deep and slow breaths or counting. I find taking deep breaths worked rather quickly for me once I've already set the mood and tone to sleep and once I'm already in bed. Hope something from what I mentioned is able to help you ❤.

Hey Jess, if you don't mind noise in your background when it's bedtime you should try listening to "sleeping with the word or prayers that help you sleep." I play those and they help like 5 out of 7 nights.
Sleep: go lay the exact time every night. To start, go down 1 hour before your sleep time. You’ll toss and turn for a week but after that you’ll be good to go.
You could be having trouble sleeping due to anemia. It causes insomnia. But I am a heavy earwax babe also lol I use a soft tip earwax tool for daily use. But if I feel like it’s a lot I use the earwax kit from Walmart. Just put drops in the ear and flush it out with water and a suction bulb.
This vlog was highlariousss! I laughed so much. Jess, you are a riot and can tell a good story. Why was that hairdresser hating on vlogging? The pool party and water slide looked hella fun. The hair monster had me dying laughing. It doesn't pay to buy cheap furniture from China. It might be made wrong and the directions may be wrong too. So annoying. For helpful sleep tips, try aromatherapy. I had trouble staying asleep so I would put either a relax essential oil blend or lavender oil in a Diffuser and have it going all night. Best nights of sleep! Hope it works! Love you guys! ❤

Sleepy Time Tea (has a bear in pjs sleeping in a rocking chair in front of the fire place in his house) and Pure Chamomile Tea (is in a light blue box with the flowers on it). both of them help you to sleep, Peppermint Tea ( the box has fields of peppermints all over it) helps to relax the mind and body. You can mix them for an extra kick, but these should help a sis out! Been using these and other kinds of tea for heath for decades without fail. Whatever mix you want with peppermint as the base. Hope this works for you. I love your videos, keep up the good work, your honesty and silliness makes me laugh so much bc I feel you.
I too have suffered with excessive ear wax but mine started when I was hit by a car when I was like in 1st or 2nd grade. When I was struck I fell into dirty slushy snow and that water got into my ear. I would get extremely bad ear infections due to water getting into my ears and from the excessive production of ear wax. It’s annoying but I too must resist from sticking stuff into my ears. I now flush my ears out every few months with warm water to loosen the wax after putting a few drops of hydrogen peroxide into my ears. After not being able to clear so clearly you feel like everything is so loud but feels refreshing. Feel better and I look forward to more videos from you and your Hubby.
Mrs. Jess and Mr. Johnathon, what I have learned in my second marriage, you have to accept the person just the way they are. Not trying to change them to who you want them to be. Either they want to change for themselves or they don't. Yes...the last person in the bed should make the bed, it's nothing like getting into a fresh made bed. Hey Jess! You should try to take melatonin, it’s a supplement. It will help you sleep really well. You just can’t take it long term, it’s naturally produced in your body. But it helps with getting your sleep schedule together.

Hey Jess, to help me sleep, restfully, I use a lavender diffuser at bedtime, Traditional Medicinals chamomile/lavender tea and I started using Dr. Teal's Sleep Spray. Also reading helps me go to sleep. Good Luck!!
I have the same issues. You might need some drops from the ENT. Also, put in water blockers before swimming. I don't swim in chlorine anymore because that's what bothers me, only salt water.
Hi jess! I dont really have sleeping problem.... BUT i heard that you could buy red light bulb ( or changing ones). And use them 30 to an hour before bed. It increase the melatonin levels and help you sleep!

Hydrogen peroxide girl! It loosens up the wax and you will be able to hear so freakin clear. I’ve been doing it for years. Peppermint and chamomile tea works for me in like 20 minutes. Good luck girlie
Great advice for couples. There is something in turkey that helps you sleep. Try eating a turkey sandwich before bed, around 9pm. A pediatrician suggested it for my daughter and it helped.. it helped me as well. My ears and throat hurts every single time I was my hair. Ugh
My son went to the Dr. about his inability to fall asleep and stay asleep at night. Dr. suggested he take 1 10 mg of melatonin 1/2 pill of the pink tablets of benadryl. It worked for him. Sometime a good workout may help you sleep at night. Great video! Very entertaining!

Girl my doctor recommended taking magnesium (any mg) to help relax your body and take melatonin (you can take up to 20 mg a night but they recommend you start at like 5 to 6 mg then work your way up to find the best dosage for you 10 mg works for me). You can take both together at least an hour before you plan to sleep. No phone or TV try to read a book or write in a journal or take a hot bath or something relaxing. Goodluck girl
Organic TART cherry juice is a natural melatonin. Try a couple shots of that in your bedtime tea. Me personally- I turn on some ASMR music with a black screen.
So I had that same problem falling asleep at night. I started reading Psalm 91 and 56 threw times a day praying and meditation at night before bed it has helped a lot and I sleep with a humidifier on with lavender oil inside. Hope this helps

First love the Detroit Pistons shirt! Second after 16 years of marriage I still leave my bras around the house 😂 but hubby just accepts his loving wife 😆. Third I struggled with sleeping for years, I had a sleep study done in my late 20s and it was determined I had restless legs syndrome. Medication didn't work for me but someone recommended meditation and it was beyond helpful to get me better sleep. I average about 7 hours now whereas before I would be lucky if I got 4. And on stressful days melatonin does help. Good luck!

Hey Jess…you didn’t say how long you were off your phone but here are some suggestions that you could try…(I’d try them all on the same night) You could try using blue light blocker eyeglasses during the day when watching your tv, computer and phone screens. U should be protecting your eyes anyway. 1) Try to not look at tv or your phone for 2hrs before going to bed 2) try to create a new habit of meditating (quiet time or maybe listening to the ocean, rain or running water like a river-sounds from nature-white noise-look them up on TH-cam) and reading your Bible or a book for as long as you can while relaxing in your bed. Reading the Bible at night always puts ppl to sleep! 3. Try the sleepy time tea and soaking in a hot tub or bath with a few drops of lavender essential oil(as hot as you can stand it-jets in a jacuzzi will knock you out) Oh and a GREAT MASSAGE!!! You have to find ways to relax your mind and not think about how bad you need to go to sleep!!!!! Stop worrying too!!! Hope this helps!❤❤❤

Alcohol ear drops work wonders for swimmer’s ear in order to keep it dry, (no I’m not a swimmer, but when I wash my hair water gets deep inside my ears causing infections). I also add cotton to my ear because loud noises becomes too painful when it’s healing. I also like to drink anything soothing like hot lemon,and honey, which helps with the throat inflammation.
Hopefully you see this! Try Passion flower extract/tincture or ashwaganda for sleep. Works like a charm 😊 Doing peroxide ear drops and throat rinse can help with the ear and throat pain. 2 parts water 1 part peroxide gargle for 30seconds -1 min.
You can try bath and body works Sleep body wash and lotions (lavender). Soothing sleep music and drink your sleep time tea before you take a bath/shower so it can have a opportunity to work its way through your system.
I hope you get your hearing back to normal soon, I wouldn't give up on the bedtime tea. You wasn't feeling well, give it another try when you are feeling better. That tea really helps me, I even got a guy from work hooked on to the Yogi bedtime tea. He bought me the caramel flavor and told me to try it. I didn't know about ( each stores has different flavors) ❤️

Sleep: go lay the exact time every night. To start, go down 1 hour before your sleep time. You’ll toss and turn for a week but after that you’ll be good to go.

You could be having trouble sleeping due to anemia. It causes insomnia. But I am a heavy earwax babe also lol I use a soft tip earwax tool for daily use. But if I feel like it’s a lot I use the earwax kit from Walmart. Just put drops in the ear and flush it out with water and a suction bulb.
This vlog was highlariousss! I laughed so much. Jess, you are a riot and can tell a good story. Why was that hairdresser hating on vlogging? The pool party and water slide looked hella fun. The hair monster had me dying laughing. It doesn't pay to buy cheap furniture from China. It might be made wrong and the directions may be wrong too. So annoying. For helpful sleep tips, try aromatherapy. I had trouble staying asleep so I would put either a relax essential oil blend or lavender oil in a Diffuser and have it going all night. Best nights of sleep! Hope it works! Love you guys! ❤

Sleepy Time Tea (has a bear in pjs sleeping in a rocking chair in front of the fire place in his house) and Pure Chamomile Tea (is in a light blue box with the flowers on it). both of them help you to sleep, Peppermint Tea ( the box has fields of peppermints all over it) helps to relax the mind and body. You can mix them for an extra kick, but these should help a sis out! Been using these and other kinds of tea for heath for decades without fail. Whatever mix you want with peppermint as the base. Hope this works for you. I love your videos, keep up the good work, your honesty and silliness makes me laugh so much bc I feel you.
I too have suffered with excessive ear wax but mine started when I was hit by a car when I was like in 1st or 2nd grade. When I was struck I fell into dirty slushy snow and that water got into my ear. I would get extremely bad ear infections due to water getting into my ears and from the excessive production of ear wax. It’s annoying but I too must resist from sticking stuff into my ears. I now flush my ears out every few months with warm water to loosen the wax after putting a few drops of hydrogen peroxide into my ears. After not being able to clear so clearly you feel like everything is so loud but feels refreshing. Feel better and I look forward to more videos from you and your Hubby.
Melatonin helps me a lot grab the slow release kind helps you fall asleep and stay asleep for a more restful night and you wake up refreshed.

Hey Jess! You should try to take melatonin, it’s a supplement. It will help you sleep really well. You just can’t take it long term, it’s naturally produced in your body. But it helps with getting your sleep schedule together.
I just commented about this. Tart cherry juice is great. It has a higher percentage of natural melatonin.

Hey Jess, to help me sleep, restfully, I use a lavender diffuser at bedtime, Traditional Medicinals chamomile/lavender tea and I started using Dr. Teal's Sleep Spray. Also reading helps me go to sleep. Good Luck!!

I have the same issues. You might need some drops from the ENT. Also, put in water blockers before swimming. I don't swim in chlorine anymore because that's what bothers me, only salt water.
Hi jess! I dont really have sleeping problem.... BUT i heard that you could buy red light bulb ( or changing ones). And use them 30 to an hour before bed. It increase the melatonin levels and help you sleep!

Hydrogen peroxide girl! It loosens up the wax and you will be able to hear so freakin clear. I’ve been doing it for years. Peppermint and chamomile tea works for me in like 20 minutes. Good luck girlie

Great advice for couples. There is something in turkey that helps you sleep. Try eating a turkey sandwich before bed, around 9pm. A pediatrician suggested it for my daughter and it helped.. it helped me as well. My ears and throat hurts every single time I was my hair. Ugh
My son went to the Dr. about his inability to fall asleep and stay asleep at night. Dr. suggested he take
1 10 mg of melatonin
1/2 pill of the pink tablets of benadryl. It worked for him.

Girl my doctor recommended taking magnesium (any mg) to help relax your body and take melatonin (you can take up to 20 mg a night but they recommend you start at like 5 to 6 mg then work your way up to find the best dosage for you 10 mg works for me). You can take both together at least an hour before you plan to sleep. No phone or TV try to read a book or write in a journal or take a hot bath or something relaxing. Goodluck girl
A possible perforated ear drum is serious. Take your antibiotic as prescribed! I also recommend seeing an ENT specialist.

Organic TART cherry juice is a natural melatonin. Try a couple shots of that in your bedtime tea. Me personally- I turn on some ASMR music with a black screen.
So I had that same problem falling asleep at night. I started reading Psalm 91 and 56 threw times a day praying and meditation at night before bed it has helped a lot and I sleep with a humidifier on with lavender oil inside. Hope this helps

First love the Detroit Pistons shirt! Second after 16 years of marriage I still leave my bras around the house 😂 but hubby just accepts his loving wife 😆. Third I struggled with sleeping for years, I had a sleep study done in my late 20s and it was determined I had restless legs syndrome. Medication didn't work for me but someone recommended meditation and it was beyond helpful to get me better sleep. I average about 7 hours now whereas before I would be lucky if I got 4. And on stressful days melatonin does help. Good luck!

Hey Jess…you didn’t say how long you were off your phone but here are some suggestions that you could try…(I’d try them all on the same night)
You could try using blue light blocker eyeglasses during the day when watching your tv, computer and phone screens. U should be protecting your eyes anyway.
1) Try to not look at tv or your phone for 2hrs before going to bed
2) try to create a new habit of meditating (quiet time or maybe listening to the ocean, rain or running water like a river-sounds from nature-white noise-look them up on TH-cam) and reading your Bible or a book for as long as you can while relaxing in your bed. Reading the Bible at night always puts ppl to sleep!
3. Try the sleepy time tea and soaking in a hot tub or bath with a few drops of lavender essential oil(as hot as you can stand it-jets in a jacuzzi will knock you out)
Oh and a GREAT MASSAGE!!!
You have to find ways to relax your mind and not think about how bad you need to go to sleep!!!!! Stop worrying too!!!

I was listening to my fav podcast today and she literally mention that if you're single the perf man you should be looking for is not one with 6pack and fine yes that too but its one that fears GOD because he's the highest authority and if one doesn't fear GOD welp he won't fear anyone and will do anything and how when you have an argument does he go back to the word to see what God says and you have that which is a blessing. girl you're strong for surviving that wig embarrassment cuz I was literally in tears 😭and hopefully your ears get better. for sleeping try melatonin also workout closer to bed time like an hour or 2 before bed time (grow with jo)just to get your body moving take a hot bath try to relax no phone. hope that helps
Alcohol ear drops work wonders for swimmer’s ear in order to keep it dry, (no I’m not a swimmer, but when I wash my hair water gets deep inside my ears causing infections). I also add cotton to my ear because loud noises becomes too painful when it’s healing. I also like to drink anything soothing like hot lemon,and honey, which helps with the throat inflammation.
Hopefully you see this! Try Passion flower extract/tincture or ashwaganda for sleep. Works like a charm 😊
Doing peroxide ear drops and throat rinse can help with the ear and throat pain. 2 parts water 1 part peroxide gargle for 30seconds -1 min.
I learned on TikTok that organic tart cherry juice helps with sleeping. Try about 4 oz and see if it helps.

I hope you get your hearing back to normal soon, I wouldn't give up on the bedtime tea. You wasn't feeling well, give it another try when you are feeling better. That tea really helps me, I even got a guy from work hooked on to the Yogi bedtime tea. He bought me the caramel flavor and told me to try it. I didn't know about ( each stores has different flavors) ❤️
