MI-6 Agent Sonia Falsworth is the highlight of the show. I also noticed that many Skrulls wear some form of green clothing when they are in disguise. You do realise that a Marvel TV show just about her twarting international plots, a la man from uncle, could be produced for Disney+ much cheaper than what they seem to think they need to produce. Netflix had it right with all those "street level" Marvel shows. They don't need to lavish CGI on everything, they just need to be smart with it.
Nah man this series just continues to impress me with its writing and acting. I really loved that scene with Giah and Fury Wife. It felt so authentic. That “does he get lost looking at you in your own skin” line was like something a smartass person in their early 20s would actually say. The agitation in the response was organic as well. “Of course you did, you’re young and think you know everything”. Legit have heard that from my mom so many times I was astounded by how real that felt. Couple other scenes like Fury and MI6 lady at the cemetery were also great. Despite how sci fi the show is it just manages to still feel grounded and that’s really a testament to good writing. People online trying to bash it because it’s “slow” are insane.
Actually, what they didn't show in the episode that was in the trailer. Was Gia, crying on her father's body. What I'm hoping that they will also show us and answer, is the real Rhodey in that huge humans people facility that they keep showing us in the trailer.
Lol yeah I was thinking about that cut trailer scene. They also didnt show her telling fury “you don’t know what they have planned for you.” Maybe they’ll show them next ep?
Everyone knows their assignment I tell ya! Sonya is a fantastic character and she compliments Fury extremely well. I can see why they're connected. This episode was done so well like the others I don't even try to look for things to pick at or want the series to end. Grav is a madman and powerful asf I don't know how they're gonna stop him without reversing the powers he obtained or having a high-level Avenger beat the breaks off of him lol. RIP Talos he will be sorely missed!
I'm not sure skrull Rhodey can help Gravik as far as a suit goes because I'm pretty sure those nanobots Fury mentioned do more than just keep his body free from contagions. This could further explain why Rhodey has never shown up in his suit in anything we've seen since endgame. Like you said in the video, Tony more than likely knew about the skrulls so it would make sense that he would make sure that nobody could use his suits that was not actually supposed to use those suits: nanobots

Don Cheadle absolutely knows how the show ends and how his character gets from the end of Secret Invasion to Armor Wars. He is just a professional who knows how to build suspense and not is not one of the Marvel Leakmasters (Mark & Tom I’m looking at you).
With the scientist Skrulls captured, it's left to Gravik to try to use the Harvest. I suspect it's not the harvest but a Skrull chemical/virus/etc. Something that kills only Skrulls around when it's opened. That would eliminate Gravik and his underlings without killing all the Skrulls. That seems the most sure way to end the threat with only one episode left.
I thought it was interesting that Sonya was able to prove her director was a Skrull just by wounding him. Too bad Fury couldn't try that since it would have triggered the detail to shoot Fury. Here's hoping that the vial of Avengers DNA is a misdirect and that Fury either destroyed the actual samples or he hid it somewhere inaccessible. I'm thinking a post scene revealing the DNA samples are still hidden and/or Carol Danvers checks in with Fury.
The way they cremated Talos was very very similar to how we Hindus cremate our deceased ones, in a burning pyre. & Yes there are tons of rituals done before & after burning the body. You said it right, many Hindus who migrate to other nations from India sometimes forget some of those details while living there for generations being cut from their original roots. Fury said, "Even Carol bled a little during the Battle for Earth." Probably when Thanos did the raw fist hold of the Power Stone and clocked her with a force punch.
13:20 I’m happy you brought that up, because when I was watching the show I thought about that as well due to my parents being immigrants and me not knowing certain cultural traditions.
My honest opinion is this gotta be one of the best episode not just in Secret Invasion, but ever created by Marvel! The quality of the acting here is second to none. Jackson, Cheadle, Colman, Ben-Adir, and Clarke, all brought their A game to the party, and it shows. Haven’t felt this way since WandaVision.
Really? How? It's so short and had a solid action set piece that flew by and then it was over. No dramatic shooting or directing... in my opinion this episode was the worst of the series, if you compare it to the to the first two episodes it feels like they are totally different shows in the way they are shot, the plot twists and just overall spy thriller tone of the show. But to each their own I guess

Yeah fury putting back on his coat and eye patch at the end definitely shows him realizing who he needs to be of himself after everyone in this show has been saying ever since the blip you’ve never been the same since.
I feel like the president DEFINITELY heard Fury, he's just gonna play it close to the chest because he truly doesn't know who to trust. I also do believe SkRhodey 😂😂😂 is relatively new, in my opinion he was never as bold/sassy or in your face before
that was exactly my thought in that scene..."shoot off a finger?" but i think those bodyguards might be skrulls too. they seem to take in all the information fury and skrodey divulge without blinking, and it makes sense skrodey would put skrulls on the detail.
Sonia is collecting everything to make her own superhero - I think a modification of Extremis could result in Jacqueline Farnsworth (Spitfire) as that is the closest match to the origin and powers of that character, getting less strength but superspeed instead (making her more stable), regeneration and the fire aura.
Right at the end of the epsiode, he said, " Let's finish this", I wonder if Fury was talking to Garick or another character to be revealed next episode, maybe Maria Hill or a SHIELD character possibly?
I had the same question at the end of the episode, but wondered if it was someone with a full body Widow Mask/Suit. Maria Hill? Her name continues to be in the credits.
@@robertwade3845 Maria Hill is dead, her name is in the credits because they keep showing that clip of Fury(Gravik) shooting her in Moscow every other episode.
Theory Here: On the last bit of the episode, Sonya asked Fury "Why Finland?" which Fury replied "My wife and I honeymooned here." following this statement he added, "Skrulls like the cold." Sonya looked at him speechless and Fury said whilst looking at her "Now you understand it." I think that that Fury on-screen is a Skrull, and the one he called on the suit up scene is the Real Nick Fury.
Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth steals almost every scene shes in. I really hope they keep her on and add her into more shows, her character is so fun to watch.
Samuel L Jackson is such a fantastic actor and one of my favorites going back to the late 80's early 90's cameo stuff he did in low budget culture films. His ability to embody this character, at this stage of life with such a wide range of emotions but still never breaking that cold hearted Nick Fury personality is dope. I like the series, its very well done. I am not a super nerd who is going to pick at every thread of Marvel content because its not that serious. I think his interaction with Sonia is great and I love her character as well. The tamed insanity she brings to the series is great and pairing her with Nick is great to watch. I don't think the "dna" that Nick pulled out of the headstone is avengers dna, but it is something that will make Gravick think he is gaining power and them scramble is cells or something crazy. Think about the first blade movie and the blue juice that he injected Deacon Frost with at the end..blowup some vampire heads lol. I'm glad that Marvel is slowing things down a bit with its direction. I started to feel as if I were being pulled in all directions with no real path to understand what the point of all of this is. There have been so many characters and villain's introduced its hard to understand what is the overall plot that Marvel is pursuing. Hopefully the slow down will produce more great content like this. Lastly, the AI intro for this series is fine. Anyone who is picking apart this series in that detailed of a way needs something else to do..back away from the tech for a while and take a walk lol.
I think Fury is going to end up getting powers. Either by accident via the SuperSkrull Machine or from the vial he has got by the end of this episode. He mentions "my only power" during this episode when talking to Sonya. I *still* think Fury is going to end up being a Skrull as a major plot twist.
He had some sort of powers in the comics. So it about time. Or he’s assembled a secret warriors with Maria Hill faking her death she is out of the Skrulls radar and was able to assemble a team
I assumed it was also called the widow’s vale because it covers their head like a wedding vale a bride would wear with the idea being you could use the face of a dead person
Fury and Sonya discussed the widows cloak in the car. It only works on the face so it is nowhere near Skrull level shape shifting. All a Skrull would have to do is say, "change back to your Skrull form" and someone trying to infiltrate them using the widows cloak would be screwed.
Despite another unnecessary 30-plus minute episode, this episode was banging! The level of intensity in this episode is amazing! This show is truly on a different planet compared to previous shows. The Varra and G'iah shootout scene? #GirlsGetItDone Also, it's really great to see a different side of Nick Fury after 15 years in the MCU. Damn, you LOVE to see it. With one more episode to go, I may not know how everything will finish up, but I am oh, so excited for the finale. Again, fingers cross we get a Season 2. By the way, the person that met Fury in the jet is Rick Mason, played by O-T Fagbenle, from the Black Widow movie.
I love how they continue the trend of having the characters did their super suits towards the end of the show. With Fury it was very simple but I think the only show where the character already have their seat was Moon Knight but even with him, he already had two then had another one in the last episode.
Its kind of sad that 'Agents of SHIELD' is no longer canon, because "The Harvelt" could have easily tied into 'Project Tahiti", which, in the show, was meant as a means to preserve the life of an Avenger if they should die (but was used on Coulson first). Also: Looking back, I think it would have been a good idea if 'She-Hulk' had kept the "Steal Her Blood' idea, as then they could have tied events in that show into this one (Whathisname could have only temporarily gained the powers of a Hulk, but a Skrull, using the machine, could get them permanently, and one of his goons could have been shown to be a Skrull, keeping an eye on anyone trying to re-create the Super Soldier Serum).
even with the little things wrong with the show, this is honestly my 2nd favorite marvel tv series right behind WandaVision when it comes to build ups to the mmcu.
Love this episode. I think overall it's been very good. It started slow but it's been gaining momentum and definitely more violent than I thought it would be lol
I would have been suspicious of Rhodey simply based on his not employing the War Machine armour during the attack on the convoy, or even taking part as an ordinary soldier, as we saw in the third Iron Man movie.
I think that’s Hulks DNA and his integration with radiation will negate the Skrulls ability to resist radiation and will create a weakness to exploit, he may just use human DNA to leave Gravik stuck human
I think the president suspected skrodum last episode with the whole flesh and steel talk cuz he told the security team to keep an eye on him before sending him to the car. He asked for a breath mint hinting it might be his breath but he was somewhat intoxicated and until we know if they can hang like hulk im going to say he said TOO much because of the alcohol and didn’t notice because the hopps
How about a post credit scene where Sonya finds another shapeshifter and shoots him in the leg, but instead of turning into a skrull, he turns into Loki.
I have a question. If Rhody was a Skrull in Captain America Civil War, he should have reverted back to his original Skrull form after he got hit by Vision's Laser and crashed to the ground? That's what should have happened.
This is the theory that no one is talking about, the fury that is fighting gravik at the end is actually Gaia, only super hero in the show with motive and power to stand up against him
Djimon Hounsou has played 3 DC characters (Wizard, Midnite and King Ricou). Also 2 Marvel characters (Korath) and a voice over as (T’Challa) for a Black Panther animated mini-series. Although his Marvel characters all seemed to be 3 different characters, but just named him Korath in all three.
I think Fury kept the DNA in case he ever needed to fight the Avengers. So he is ok with giving the DNA away since he may already know how to neutralize it.
We need to develop an action modifier for effects expense, which would explain why G'iah couldn't use her powers in this situation. It would work kind of like Roger Rabbit being able to escape handcuffs ONLY in moments when it was funny to do so.
3 possibilities of who Nick was calling "to finish this". From the most likely to the least: 1. He was calling Gravik, in order for them to settle it once and for all 2. He was calling Carol for help. And 3. He has been secretly forming the Secret Warriors to take on the Skrulls and he was calling a Shield agent he's met before that has superpowers, Daisy Johnson (I hope)😅😅
12:07 I kinda wish Mason had ended up being Taskmaster tbh. I'm fine w/ Taskmaster being a woman/ Dreykov's daughter, but I hate the fact that Antonia was mind controlled & could only replicate fighting styles because of the chip in her neck (+ the HUD in her suit/ helmet). She had no real personality (hopefully Thunderbolts can fix that), & is a lot less cool when she doesn't acc have any powers bcos it all just comes from the tech.
Does it make sense to kill off Talos in this Disney Plus Show? Do you think he could have played a major role in future projects in the MCU? Is his daughter G'iah going to be the new leader of the Skrulls?
Did they mention earlier in the season if the Skrulls new base was radioactive? I swear I remember someone saying it was and didnt affect them but does humans so was ideal, if so no-ones really mentioned it with Fury going in for the finale. Also think we might get a little section of the finale with Fury contemplating if he should take the Harvest (if real) to win the day, after being asked about the heroes a number of times it would add a nice little twist of him trusting his-self again
Did u watch he told Nick Fury to bring iodine pills for the radiation, so I’m assuming that’s how they keep the humans from getting radiation poisoning
Great speeches and when he says 'do something, I dare you' to the agent trying to protect Skrodey are clever ways to draw comparisons between Fury and Jules Winfield. Just Samuel L. Jackson being himself.
The shows says killing is the only way to reveal a skrull but right after that a non-lethal gunshot wound and suffocation both revealed skrulls without killing them. Also they bleed purple.
Is it just me, or did Nick Fury pistol bonking Rhodey's head feel kind of awkward and unintentionally funny? Like he knew he couldn't kill him so he still wanted to spite him somehow and then just got away with it. And his bodyguard seems like a pushover
I’m positive Thor knew about the skrulls…. Like he had too lol. So I’m positive a lot of them probably knew of skrulls but must have thought that it wasn’t going to be an issue or that Fury was actually employing them.
The idea that Nick Fury cannot out Skrhodey without killing him is ridiculous. They proved in in a previous episode after Sony cuts off one finger and again in the VERY NEXT scene with the shot in the leg!!!

No it's actually Rhodey Coming in like "Boom are you looking for this" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Theory Here:
On the last bit of the episode, Sonya asked Fury "Why Finland?" which Fury replied "My wife and I honeymooned here." following this statement he added, "Skrulls like the cold." Sonya looked at him speechless and Fury said whilst looking at her "Now you understand it."
I think that that Fury on-screen is a Skrull, and the one he called on the suit up scene is the Real Nick Fury.
I agree, leaving a comment when we’re right
I too wonder who he called in the past scene, but I don’t know if I’m on board with the idea that he’s been a skroll this whole time…
Nah he called maria hill
Nah, he was just telling her that he was dating an alien
@@JustNando503 but if that's the case, how would he know she was a skrull when he just found out in episode 4 during the kitchen scene?
Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth steals almost every scene shes in. I really hope they keep her on and add her into more shows, her character is so fun to watch.
Chris Evan’s was also technically Loki for a bit too
Really enjoying secret invasion.. we haven't had nearly enough Fury in the MCU..
I got everybody in the barbershop watching episode 5 right now I couldn't wait get home 😅
Nice!
11:45 I love when characters like Rick Mason show up in small roles across multiple projects lol
I can’t believe I didn’t realize it was him at first
@@claymathewselevator8121Me neither
Just got to the enf of the video... maybe Fury gets mutated by the SuperSkrull machine...?
He had some sort of powers in the comics. So it about time. Or he’s assembled a secret warriors with Maria Hill faking her death she is out of the Skrulls radar and was able to assemble a team
"Skrodey" got me dying over here 🤣🤣
I assumed it was also called the widow’s vale because it covers their head like a wedding vale a bride would wear with the idea being you could use the face of a dead person
Charlie is honestly the 🐐, just finished the episode and was desperate to watch some more content related to it and along comes Charlie🙌
Some of the skrulls that were killed had red blood and the Dr that was killed had purple blood. Did anyone else notice?
Great breakdown Charlie can’t wait for the finale next week
I sure hope the finale will be at least an hour long and I sure hope we find out what happened to Rhodey and when the skrull took over as him
Fury and Sonya discussed the widows cloak in the car. It only works on the face so it is nowhere near Skrull level shape shifting. All a Skrull would have to do is say, "change back to your Skrull form" and someone trying to infiltrate them using the widows cloak would be screwed.
If you pay closer attention, Fury says “that’s the newer version, not this one”. Meaning there’s a version that can do that.
That trailer of Nick Fury fighting Gravix is probably Gaia shapeshifted into Fury.
Despite another unnecessary 30-plus minute episode, this episode was banging!
The level of intensity in this episode is amazing! This show is truly on a different planet compared to previous shows.
The Varra and G'iah shootout scene? #GirlsGetItDone
Also, it's really great to see a different side of Nick Fury after 15 years in the MCU.
We cant wait! To see, M.I.13. We want to see, captain brittin, psylock, black knight, blade, merlin, moon knight!
Love this episode. I think overall it's been very good. It started slow but it's been gaining momentum and definitely more violent than I thought it would be lol
I don't know about anyone else, I have really enjoyed this show so much! Charlie, as always an excellent job!
So far, this is the best material Marvel has made in awhile. I hope many of these characters continue in the MCU.
The finale better be at least a hour long this show is really good
I still have faith we'll see Coulson or Quake 😢
Boy dr strange could take care of this skrul problem pretty easily 😅
He is currently in another dimension stopping an incursion.
That Loki music still gives goosebumps.❤
This is the theory that no one is talking about, the fury that is fighting gravik at the end is actually Gaia, only super hero in the show with motive and power to stand up against him
Stan Lee played more than 3 characters in Marvel movies
It'll be interesting to see in the next episode who president choose to trust, but I don't think he's going to distrust fury here.
He will soon be replaced by Harrison Ford.....dun-dun-dunnnnnnnnnnnnn
Djimon Hounsou has played 3 DC characters (Wizard, Midnite and King Ricou). Also 2 Marvel characters (Korath) and a voice over as (T’Challa) for a Black Panther animated mini-series. Although his Marvel characters all seemed to be 3 different characters, but just named him Korath in all three.
I think Fury kept the DNA in case he ever needed to fight the Avengers. So he is ok with giving the DNA away since he may already know how to neutralize it.
At the end he is talking too an Avenger possibly CM. Gravik will be killed by an avenger
We need to develop an action modifier for effects expense, which would explain why G'iah couldn't use her powers in this situation. It would work kind of like Roger Rabbit being able to escape handcuffs ONLY in moments when it was funny to do so.
I don't think it's true that you have to kill the Skrulls for them to reveal themselves. That one Skrull got shot and revealed his Skrull identity. :)
Righttttt? That inconsistency bothered me so much. Like which is it? Do they need to die to get revealed or not???
Thanks Charlie nicely done.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌸
3 possibilities of who Nick was calling "to finish this". From the most likely to the least:
1. He was calling Gravik, in order for them to settle it once and for all
2. He was calling Carol for help.
And
3. He has been secretly forming the Secret Warriors to take on the Skrulls and he was calling a Shield agent he's met before that has superpowers, Daisy Johnson (I hope)😅😅
If the last one happens I would die happy. It would solidify that Nick Fury is “one step ahead”
All Disney Has To Do Now Is Cut The End Credits Down From 4 & 1/2 Minutes To 60 Seconds 😏!
I think the post credit scene would be the opening scene from the marvels
Nice theory!
Is his daughter G'iah going to be the new leader of the Skrulls?
hey! talos had one appearance ever prior to the show. THAT is how good this show is
he could reveal him being skrull without kill him the best character on show so far Sonya Falsworth done twice once episode
The Finale should be 2hrs long!!!!
Sonya is truly ruthless. Basically idgaf and shoots the skrull without hesitation
It's so frustrating how Fury can't just shoot Rhodey in the leg like Sonya
They’ve done Fury bogus in this series… almost feckless. Waste of a great character.
I was wondering the same thing!!
The security are all skrulls too
Lol "Hang on guys, just give me a minute, I'm just going to shoot him in the leg and then watch what happens..."
Sinister Mary Poppins, loved that phrase
I so don't want this serie to end... Love the serie and episode after episode it made me more hyped
Olivia Colman is amazing in everything and i love her in Secret Invasion so I'm hoping they don't kill her off but 😬
the plot twist is amazing so far.. especially about the Harvest. hope the final will be good or more.
@@delmarfrazier2727 Thank you! I missed it during that scene, dont think the audio was very good
Great speeches and when he says 'do something, I dare you' to the agent trying to protect Skrodey are clever ways to draw comparisons between Fury and Jules Winfield. Just Samuel L. Jackson being himself.
The shows says killing is the only way to reveal a skrull but right after that a non-lethal gunshot wound and suffocation both revealed skrulls without killing them. Also they bleed purple.
I was really hoping some agents of shield characters would show up like coulsons team
Agent May
@@claymathewselevator8121 you bet I was seriously hoping to see her and daisy. Johnson, and the rest of the crew
Imagine your resume, yeah I play Scrody. 😂
I was wondering why the Avengers weren't called.
cause they didn’t have enough budget for the show 😭
I loved the part where fury’s wife and Taylos daughter just owned the scene 🎬🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯🔥
Is it just me, or did Nick Fury pistol bonking Rhodey's head feel kind of awkward and unintentionally funny? Like he knew he couldn't kill him so he still wanted to spite him somehow and then just got away with it. And his bodyguard seems like a pushover
4:32 it reminded me of avatar too. I think I said an avatar reference when Raava was talking to Gravik.
Can we also say that using 3 different high tech safes to store a coat, an eye-patch and a gun is plain stupid overkill?
