Yeah this guy explains things pretty poorly. There are a couple important things he just says but doesn't explain how. I had to go to another tutorial.

this is great, but does precomposing the text make it harder to duplicate to make multiple of the same lower thirds with diff names?

It's a good tutorial because it's to the point and doesn't waste your time. Unfortunately, he doesn't explain what he's about to do before he does it, so people aren't ready for the next few steps. Thanks for making it though!

I made it up to 4:20. When I select my text layer and my shape 1 layer, and move them forward in the timeline, this does not change the timing of when the text comes in vs the white box. I want the white box to start coming together before the text comes together but no matter when I move them on the timeline, they still animate at the same time. Help.

The best way to adjust the fonts and the graphic in Premier pro is to export AE composition into a template and import it into Premier pro
Whenever I try to get the masks to the middle of the crosshairs, there's always a strip that isn't being covered. How can I fix this?

Your second lower third's movement looks like it has a curve on the keyframes to make it speed up as it moves. You seem to have skipped that part- how's this done? Thanks!

He has explained how to time reverse it in 7 Mins 5 secs of the video. He did not want to repeat that lesson so he just mentioned what has to be done.

hey joshua....can you tell me how can i make lower third with picture which can be work on premier pro and i also can change the picture easily in premier pro....as like we change the text or type the text on lower third or picture option show the path where i can chose any pic....
How do you click and drag to move the entire mask like you did at 3:20? I tried to do it on my project but it is only moving one specific corner of the mask, and not the entire box
EDIT: I figured it out. You need to have MASK PATH highlighted in order to move the entire mask, and not just on specific point.
SECOND EDIT: Both MASK PATH and MASK EXPANSION NEED TO BE HIGHLIGHTED
