Create Your Own MOGRT Files in After Effects for Premiere

- Create your own Motion Graphic files (MOGRT) in After Effects to use in Premiere. Why is this helpful? Once created, an MOGRT file works like a template. Lower thirds, title cards, etc. Make it in After Effects to quickly drop this into any Premiere project.

Great video - I would use the Fill effect rather than the tint, because if your original box is anything other than black or white, the tint color won't match your selection. You can see it clearly when you change the box color and the shade of red turns out different than your selection.
Also, if you click "Y", you can move that anchor point without moving the attached objects. It'll save you a ton of time!

Excellent Video - It was very handy in creating a custom branded intro title and graphic combo for my employer's videos. The only bug I've encountered is when trying to drag "Position" into the Essential Graphics Panel, I get the following "After Effects warning: Property type is not yet supported for the Essentials Graphics Panel."

I was editing an existing mogrt for a lower third in AE and wanted to know how I could add a transparency slider for Permiere. I would have only know it's as simple as drag and drop... Thanks for the quick help!

Why the need for null objects and why the need to pre-comp the shape layer (box)? Especially if you can create groups within the MOGRT
I think it's because keyframes can't be edited/exported with MOGRT files. So in this case the null animation stays constant but then you can animate the text itself within PPRO because it never had keyframes attached to its position properties.

The problem is that when you export to Premiere, and you want to change some parameters, the animations don't follow automatically.
I hope he updates this with Call out MOGRT I really want to know how to create a call out with an editable Logo

Hello! Great video! I have a question: is it possible to create a template in After Effects, but make it possible to edit different parts of the text inside one text layer in Premiere Pro? Let's say, I have a template for entire sentences and I want to emphasize one or a few words in a sentence: change its color, font, size, ect. Or it's impossible and I have to create it only in Premiere Pro?

hi i want to add a picture in mogrt file which i can easily open in premier pro and also i can change picture in premier pro? or how can i add a picture option in essential graphics which i can change in premier pro
would this alsow work with lets say an icon menu where you replace the icons with different source files but keep the animation properties?
When i add the stroke property in mogrt file the strokes do not appear either in after effects neither in premiere pro . Help

Great video, appreciated, there's one thing that I'm having a little difficulty with and that is that after opening up the mogrt and dragging it into the timeline, when I go to Edit where all the controls are, the color control for some reason does not pick up the exact color that I try to change whether it is for the text or background or for other objects that I have the color control option for. Wondering if you can help me out with this. Thanks.
If you followed his tutorial and used tint, thats because your original object isnt black or white. Tint maps black/white to x color. If your original object is something other than black or white, it will modify your outcome.
Whats the purpose behind using Null object rather animating directly ?
The purpose of the Null object there is to make people who don't know how to use after effects go woooooooooow he's so wacky and cool and uses null objects, he must be a pro.
and makes people who use after effects daily want to shoot themselves in the eye to unsee whatever he just did.
How to add the alightments? of Paragraphs?

I'm having a simple issue that I know im missing something. when I import the new lower third to premiere and drop it on the timeline, I still get the black background with the lower third. what did I miss?
Check to see if there are Background controls, for the MOGRT, in the Essential Graphics panel. Have you tried placing the MOGRT over footage?
@@EnchantedStudiosUK nothing. I have to use a key to remove most of the black and a couple masks to get the harder spots.
@@davidboerst4789 I would not use the Tint effect on the Shape layer in After Effects. This might be causing issues. Use Generate / Fill on each element and drag the Color values directly into Essential Graphics.
@@EnchantedStudiosUK thanks its been a mess. Its basically a lower third a sister company made in premiere. I tried to make it a Mozart in ae for we all can easily change names.

Why create a null object here?
I was wondering the EXACT same thing???? Each text layer has keyframeable position & scale properties - and was all that was changed...
@@ryanmccutcheon1295 a lot of the videos i saw does it too and i am also wondering the same thing. also, when he did the bounce effect by adding another keyframe, can't you just do that on the graph instead of manually adding keyframes? as well as the moving of the anchor point, can't you also just move the anchor point itself with the tool? or that wouldn't work to be a mogrt file or some sort? i hope somebody answers me.

There are thousands of tutorials how to create them but not one on how to add them into your project in after effects.
