What is Catan (Universe)?
Catan, previously known as The Settlers of Catan or simply Settlers, is a multiplayer board game designed by Klaus Teuber. It was first published in 1995 in Germany by Franckh-Kosmos Verlag (Kosmos) as Die Siedler von Catan. Players take on the roles of settlers, each attempting to build and develop holdings while trading and acquiring resources. Players gain points as their settlements grow; the first to reach a set number of points, typically 10, wins. The game and its many expansions are also published by Catan Studio, Filosofia, GP, Inc., 999 Games, Κάισσα, and Devir.

Hi ! Just a tip u didn’t need to extend your roads there’s 0 % chance that anyone could take longest road because everyone just waisted a couple of them and they can’t join them anyways so building roads to extend is a waste and it probably cost u the game

you'll get used to this interface, it's actually pretty straight forward, they keep it real simple with the graphic but focus on eliminating bugs and smooth operations, the ranking system is kinda interesting as well. Would be nice to see you climb the leaderboards here. Also worth noting that multitasking on your computer is much easier because Colonist is just on a browser instead of entering an entire game.
no one was racing you to 3 10 11 (7 production) but orange was one away from blocking 5 10 (also 7 prod). you would have got both. why secure longest road when orange was not yet close to blocking you? could of used those resources to open up your ports which you needed. near the end, no one was close to your longest road yet you extended instead of opening up the ore port settlement for the final VP. it's frustrating to watch honestly
I don't understand Catan Universe ranking system for Grand Master. A player who makes judgement calls like this shouldn't have that title.
I want to see him keep playing on Colonist just to see what his MMR will be.
I wanted to enjoy this site but nobody ever talked in any of my games. Nobody ever accepted or offered interesting trades.
It just became a game of literal dice rolls.
Weird because all of my matches so far have involved someone using the chat at least once
11:00 such a bad play... what's the point of building on 3 10 11 right away? Such low production. You could have plowed orange and build on the 5 10.
You give up on trades too easy. Many times you could have offered a 2:1 and getting what you needed but you just have to when they rejected your 1:1
Mate I'm sorry, but you're still doing beginners mistakes at times that blow my mind (and orange) because otherwise your game is pretty good
It was very obvious that red had 2 VPs and yet you kept stealing from Orange
Definitely was a mistake, tracking cards and dev card usage is hard for me on this new site. Will improve over time, was only my second full match played on this site!
Spathy, they targeted you so much it would have been hard for you to win. They also refused your trades almost all the time. Sorry for your loss.
I hate the table talk on colonist. People always tries to convice others that this or that player is about to win. I was on 6 points and opponent was clearly on 8 with their devs,... this guy convice the others to make me loose longest road..... so i ended up with 4 points and he won 2 turns after.
umm that's part of the game...how are you not able to convince the table your version of the state of the game?
But this is what basicly happens in offline catan games. People negotiate, try to convince, speculate, etc... This option makes the game more realistic. You just have to learn to do the same, mate.
When I play with my family, there is a lot of table talk trying to convince people this and that... that's why I had my guard up this match LOL
