I think the two little red levers are there for a quick shield tension adjustment, like the RF14. If I remember correctly the older models shield tension could be adjusted but required two small screws to be loosened and then retightened.
That spot used to be used for tension adjustments. But this changed. Double checked for you the manual to not share any wrong information and it is a lock (at 4:57 you can see the locking happening as it blocks the release plate). This to avoid the visor flying off in hard crashes we see sometimes in MotoGP and wSBK.
wow that's gonna be a quantum leap in helmet technology 30 years and the most cutting edge helmet on the market - hope you'll enjoy it ! ( This was by no means a review just a quick intro - will do a full detailed review once I got some more experience with the helmet )
@@MonoMoto Yes it is a big leap, I'm a bit worried as I need to get several more helmets for different occasions and different bikes I am going to obtain and they obviously will not match up to the standard of this one.
@@BrianDias007 well this one is amazing on track and good for road too. I also have a full review of the rf 1400 shoei ( my Foto street / touring helmet. But hey more helmets and bikes = more fun times . Good problem to have hehe 😉
I had a few matt and glossy Shoei helmets and always find it easier to keep the matt ones clean looking. Durability wise, if you treat them well I had no shoei finish to fail on me even after 5+ years.
Yes Sir ! RF 1200 and X14 shared the visor and so do RF 1400 and X 15 - Made a video about the CWR F2 visors here th-cam.com/video/85-U9LIweyU/w-d-xo.html
That's impossible for me to quantify. They do have the same ECE certification, but only a lab could tell you which one protects more in what kind of scenarios. They are both great race helmets.

@@MonoMoto So it locks the visor plates? It can't be changed once the visor is down.
I see now. Once the shield is on, you lock the spring loaded switch and it locks the shield. Interestin
the silver visor looks so clean.
yeah - I love it on a black helmet.
Great review, Ive just ordered the exact one here in the UK but it is called in the UK X-SPR PRO, this will be my first helmet in 30 plus years

I have the X-14... May have to upgrade
Every time there is something safer I upgrade - Trying to retain on what's left of my brain ;)
From upkeep and finish durability wise, which one would you go for Matt Black or Gloss Black?

Does the matte color show finger prints? Thank you
Matte surfaces always are touchy when it comes to oily stains like from fingers - it’s not bad imho
I'm sorry I didn't hear correctly when you were talking about the silver lens, did you say the RF1400 Lens fits this X15? Thank you!

What’s your head size in cm?
Hehe well let’s say I fit nicely into the measurements for a size large
Is the shoei safer than the Arai rx7v?

In terms of safety, they're equal.
Good vid thanks bro
nice!
good ,:)
